Fanged teeth, fever and glassy, bloodshot eyes and an unwillingness to seek treatment has most of the locals giving him a wide berth. He's already drawn his lightsaber against quite a few people who had tried to assist him.

Perhaps your character is minding their own business or perhaps they’re keeping a wary eye on a clearly volatile young man. Regardless Anakin will notice them for whatever reason.]

[The next person that tries to convince him to seek help hangs suspended in the air as they try to grapple with the invisible force holding them by the throat.]

[Slowly Anakin increases the pressure and their eyes bulge before they catch another character’s eyes, one hand leaving their neck to frantically gesture for help.

[Anakin had been hard to locate last month with his bloodtype allowing him to seemingly vanish into thin air, but the new month had removed that advantage and it was only a matter of time before he ran into his old master.]

[He looks worse, but he feels better than he has in a long time. Releasing the weight of his previous indecision having a greater impact than the effects of corruption. He draws his lightsaber, revealing the red blade as he points it against Obi-Wan.]

How very original.

[Like Maul's never heard that one before. He barely keeps from rolling his eyes. At this point in his life, it feels like every Jedi he's ever run into has to make at least one insult about his lack of legs. Really, he could have beaten Obi-Wan to a bloody pulp just for making him have to to endure those quips alone.]

[There is nothing to be gained in figuring out new and creative ways to insult Maul.]

[Maul sounds bored on the verge of falling asleep. He was going to give Obi-Wan an adult-sized harness and leash for his idiot padawan so that he could be kept track of.]

[Maul doesn't let himself be ruffled by the words. When he first came to Deerington, he'd been purposeless, lost, and unsure of where to go next. Now he knows he's on an unknown path but he's not treading it alone. He'll be fine.

He gives Anakin a contemptuous up-and-down look.]

Hmmm, yes, you do seem to have found your place, kneeling at the foot of my former master and serving as his little lapdog.

[Maul can feel that shift in the Force and it makes his senses curl inwards, want to leave this place immediately. But Maul won't show any fear in the face of this snotty upstart.]
