[ There is something that draws him here, to gaze upon the mighty Patron of Justice, of Retribution as she wields her sword to split the waters in two. Perhaps it is the Patron herself, at first. Much like the other Patrons: ideas, emotions embodied, given form. Much like he is given form. There is a strange kind of kinship in them, even if he knows they are not quite the same.

Justice is a powerful Spirit. Noble, virtuous. ... And a powerful demon, if it forgets all that it is: vengeance, rage. Still, he doesn't think about that. The Reckoning is Justice, not something corrupted. She exacts payment for the hurts done. Good, he thinks.

But here, here she opens the door. The way back home. And there is part of that which draws him here, too. Those who stand upon a precipice, with worries and guilt in their hearts as they gaze down the steep path into the depths of The Unknown One's Domain. He can help, here. Direct, push a little one way or another. He will return soon, too. But not yet, he needs to help here first.

He stands himself, arms folded across his chest as he stares into the gloom, waiting and watching. ]

It's safe. [ There's certainty in his voice. ] It looks scary, but... it's not, really. A watery wander of a walk home.
