It had been just over a month since their announcement, since the night that Makoto had looked into Usagi's eyes and asked her to be with her here as long as they could. For the two of them to form a different, deeper bond, than the friendship and partnership that they had as friends and senshi. Today was the day that Makoto had dreamed about for so many nights through the years, being a June bride and becoming the perfect bride. The night was quiet compared to the prior weeks' chaos with the hurricane. The skies are clear with a silver crescent moon hanging overhead.
They had opted for a later ceremony so that more might be able to make it, and to allow for the temperature to cool a little, but mainly because it felt right to confess their love for one another under that moon. Among the stars and with their friends that came from so many different worlds and galaxies, and yet they had all been drawn together, the same way that Makoto and Usagi had always been drawn to one another.
Preparations:

There are several who offered to help with the preparations that were left the day of, wiping down tables, setting up chairs, checking strings of lights, candles to be lit, and of course, the cooking since the bride-to-be had been barred from the kitchen.
Even though she wasn't supposed to Makoto could be caught and shooed off every so often, and Usagi marveled at all of it and would have to be reminded about her own list of things to prepare herself. Both of them needing to do the standard hair, make-up, dress, and pictures. But both were just so happy and had too much energy to stay inside very long.
Mingling & pre-ceremony:

Welcome guests, as they arrived, would be several opportunities to pass the time before the nuptials, including a photo station with a moon and castle, light hors d'oeuvre to tide them over until the reception dinner, a chance to sign a guest long and of course mingle with the other guests and finding their seat. The selection of snacks ranged from chocolate-dipped strawberries to small cakes, and other sweets along with fresh fruits that were carved cutely into bunnies and other shapes.
The ceremony:

As the sun set, the ceremony began with Usagi emerging in her flowing gown that seemed to almost float along with her as she walked down the aisle, the light catching every petal of the dress and seeming to almost glow, along with the beauty of Usagi's own skin. And soon after she was followed by Makoto in a laced gown that hugged her a little closer and then drifted out as her long legs strode slowly up the aisle, hands holding the bouquet of flowers that had been selected. Her hair flowed freely down her back. The ceremony began once both were ready and present, Makoto taking Usagi's hand and starting the vows.
Reception:

Once the ceremony was over, there was of course the matter of the cake and the reception. Once the vows and the rings had been exchanged, Makoto and Usagi made their way with their friends to the reception where the first order of business was to cut the wedding cake. A large multilayer cake that had been prepared by Snow White. The green ribbon and the roses matched the colors and the decorations that were used throughout the ceremony and that were very much reminiscent of Makoto and Usagi. The inside was just as much a blend of the two; vanilla frosting, vanilla cake, and then a layer with chocolate filling and one strawberry jam filling. It certainly made for an interesting first bite between the brides feeding each other the initial piece. And a small impromptu second kiss to get a bit of runaway jam.
Of course with the cake there was dinner! As well as drinks of all kinds for all ages, and more desserts. And to work off all of the sweets, was the dancefloor which had been set out, along with a pretty interesting selection of music which they'd managed to find in the last month, including a few live performances here and there.
Both brides can be found at the reception, mingling among those who came, thanking them for everything and celebrating how wonderful the night was going.
