Only because I know there's no better person for the job. Necessity is the mother of invention, right? What better way to push yourself than a new challenge.

[futureinventor]

[She takes a moment to smell the flowers and then holds out her hand to float over a nearby glass, tall enough to display them. Small stuff is easy to move with her powers at this point, especially if it's coming to her hand, which the glass does.]

I don't think that phrase really applies...

[But anyway she takes a step back and tilts her head, appreciating the flowers.]

These are really beautiful, Bolin.

Why wouldn't it apply.. [Soft. More to himself as he watches. Man, these new powers are so cool.]

Yeah? Do you like them? I just thought they were so unique and bright and I'm so jazzed we get to team up again.

I love them.

[She smiles warmly at him.]

And I'm excited too. It's always so easy for me to get caught up in my projects like this, so it's good that I have a reason to come see you. And Mako and Wu as well.

Well. Pre-production is starting next week so I have a schedule and a copy of the script and some ideas about the sets?

[Bolid produces a stack of papers and drawings from his shirt. Who needs a satchel.

Him.. he does. But a shirt works just as well-ish.

There are um. A lot of notes and sketches. He's done a lot of thinking about all this.]

Most of the crew are either darkblood like you or paleblood so I was hoping we could use these powers to make everything feel really.. real? But extra real. Totally phantasmal! I think this new bending will make all the set changes really exciting. Things floating and moving to make new sets right before everyone's eyes. What do you think?

[futureinventor]

[Wow. Asami's eyes go wide as she starts to look at all of this, slightly overwhelmed as she always is by Bolin's... tenacity.]

Um... I think we can make that work. If there are enough of us, with a good enough grip on our powers. I can still only make smaller things float right now...

[She loses that train of thought as she flips through the pages, squinting at one drawing that she thinks she might understand better if she tilts her head just so...]

[wow all my typos this is what I get for phone tagging at 4am.

Bolin rocks up onto his toes to see over the top of the paper and grins once he sees what she's looking at]

I want the set to move around the actors and audience. There's a scene in the beginning where it's raining, right? So this is an idea about making it actually rain in the theatre? If we put buckets of water up in the rafters then a team of crew can splash in it or Korra could waterbend and make it rain. Then all the bloodstone I'm using is going to make people feel like they're really there and they'll hear the thunder and feel the cold as our stars Janet and Brad make their way through the darkness to the mansion.

[She blinks.]

Do you think the audience will like being rained on?

Why not?

It's won't be like CRASH BAAAANG TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR.. more like a tasteful little.. ooh drippy drop. And they're all going to get newspapers to hide under anyway. This is a multi sensory show and comes with props.

[futureinventor]

Well... that doesn't sound too bad. We just wouldn't want to ruin anyone's clothes... or hair...

[Suddenly she's imagining Wu wailing about one or both of those things, but she brushes away that thought because it feels. Rude.]

[She flips through a few more pieces of paper and tilts her head at a drawing.]

Is this man... not wearing any clothes?

[pabugotmoves]

[He leans to look again and laughs, cheeks flushing pink and he rubs the back of his neck.]

Uhh.. yeah. There's a little bit of flesh in this show. Hey, are you busy tonight? We should watch the film so you know what it should look like.

[futureinventor]

Um, sure.

[She does not sound sure.]

Where can we do that? Korra and I definitely don't have the kind of equipment you need to watch a mover at our house.

[pabugotmoves]

My place is out, too. So we could watch it at the club on the projector or on an omni but that's a little small.

Club?

[futureinventor]

Sure. I'll come over once I'm all done here, okay?

Let's say seven and call it dinner and a show.

[He knows what you're like. 'When I'm finished' could be anywhere from 1 hour to 36.]

[That is entirely fair.]

[Right. Well. That's that, then.

He smiles and gives a curt nod, feeling like he's been dismissed. So he will just... go.. then. Wave and call see you later as he heads back out the door.]
