Who: Childe and Lumine
What: Lumine chooses violence this month and Childe happily obliges while dealing with Moon Presence stuff
When: December!
Where: The Gate
Content Warnings: they're just fighting and yelling at each other so idk if something comes up we'll put it in the subject line
[Trudging through the snow, Childe makes his way over to The Gate, his favorite place in all of Trench. He's easily found there, frequenting it whenever he can when he's not doing his odd jobs. Today the seats are empty, as there's no grand show of Hunters that take on monsters today, leaving it open for people to train. He's hoping someone who's particularly strong is available for sparring today, having finally had a good night's rest from the monstrosities that occurred during the previous month.
As he arrives, he beelines to where he can usually meet an unsuspecting Hunter to try to spar with him. But to his surprise, he sees a familiar face waiting for him instead. He tilts his head, before approaching her.]
Well well, I certainly wasn't expecting to find you here. Were you waiting for me?
[It's...a bit strange, it's not like her to show up here and wait for him. She's never done that before.]

[He won't guarantee anything, and sometimes he can't help himself. But he also does know what grueling training can do to the body, and having light days is a good thing. Though, when it comes to fighting Lumine, the temptation to really go at it is so strong- thus why no promises were given there, at least.]
I'll make you a bet, then. If I'm late tomorrow, you can choose your reward as so long as it's reasonable. If I'm not late, we have a nice breakfast afterward. Late will be defined as the time you sent your first text message to me this morning. If I arrive past that time, I'll be considered late. Bet?
[He won't lose.]

lumine puts her coat on, visibly wincing when she moves her arm through the sleeve. that's not good, is it? another injury she didn't notice, she wonders. in any case, she grits her teeth and tries to put it on anyway, buttoning it down. ]
I'm not paying for that breakfast.
[ worse comes to worst, they might not even have time for breakfast since they'll have to head on over to the blood ministers, so. ]

I wasn't counting on you having the patience to even sit down and wait the ten to fifteen minutes or so to order and have food brought to you. It'll be already prepared at my home instead, immediately following our little sparring session.
[Plz Lumi he has the marks, bruises and shooting pains all over his body to know anything less wouldn't work out.]
My only stipulation is you can't arbitrarily attack me in my own home, and no throwing things, either. Reheating something too slowly isn't a good reason.

she glares at him over her shoulder, feeling insulted that he thinks she's the type who would wreck havoc in someone's place. like sure, she's feeling rather impatient lately, but she's not about to cause trouble on someone—even if said someone is a fatui harbinger. ]
Barring my sword yesterday, I haven't thrown anything at you that would warrant that implied accusation.
[ no promises though that she won't get up and head out if it takes too long to reheat the food. because c'mon, it can't take more than five minutes to do that. ]

[He'd argue she's become a bit unpredictable herself, but bringing that up right now will do him no favors.]
I'll see you tomorrow then, bright and early. Get some good rest tonight, comrade.
[Because let's be honest, they both probably need it. He still needs to let his shoulder relax a bit, as he's afraid he's opened it again during their fight today. He'll have to check it when he gets home, and then he needs to think about what he could make the night before that wouldn't take long to prepare in the morning. Having subordinates would of really helped right about now.]

whirling at him with her hands on her hips, lumine looks particularly annoyed. not that she hasn't looked annoyed in the past couple of days, the expression having settled on her face like something permanent, but this time, it's just riling her up even more. ]
So you think it's going to be a problem, then? Coming from the guy who threw a whale at me?
[ like bruh, he's the one tossing shit at her. the sword thing was just one time—one time. ]

You know, you're not helping your case here. [He will point that out, and he's already on guard just in case she picks some snow and throws it at him again, or if she tries to punch him, or what have you. The last two days have proven she's been a bit more violent than normal, too.]
We were fighting before- that was perhaps the only appropriate time to use that attack against you. Come now Lumine, surely you're not really that sore about it, are you?

... throwing snow at his face is very, very, very tempting, though. like very, very, very tempting, given his expression. ]
Whatever. [ lumine turns back to the arena's exit, feeling miffed again. ] If it's going to be a problem for you, then we might as well not make any bets for tomorrow.

[He shrugs. That's fine by him, and he's not going to argue. He'll still show up when he said he would either way. He really doesn't want a repeat of this morning...but who's to say she won't catch him off guard and show up to his house while he was still sleeping at an abnormal hour anyway?]
See you tomorrow, I'll be waiting. [He'd wave goodbye if she wasn't already heading off toward the exit.]
