[ she rolls her eyes and smiles. incorrigible, that's what he is. absolutely and utterly incorrigible. he's very lucky he's so handsome and funny and broody, or else she'd tear him apart for ruining her mistletoe scheme. ]

[ she curls her toes on purpose as she mock gasps. ]

( he'd wondered if she'd let him get away with that or if she'd call him on it. but, he smiles when she says her toes curl and laughs. )

Who would have known you'd like such a small, chaste, romantic kiss so much?

[ a simple, honest answer. did he expect that one? sometimes she thinks she's still capable of surprising him. ]

It's going to make my toes curl no matter what. But some of your kisses will make them curl a lot.

And this one wasn't one that made your toes curl a lot?

( he chuckles. )

[ katherine smiles and shrugs innocently. how can he ask her that without a demonstration? poor form, stefan. didn't school teach you to give examples? ]

( of course he would, of course. he holds out of his hand to her, arching an eyebrow. )

[ with a happy noise, she places her hand daintily in his and wiggles her fingers. it's almost as if she's showing off her lapis lazuli bracelet. ]

Be gentle.

[ she doesn't try to suppress her smile. she likes it when he dotes on her and gives into her silly things.

he's the only one she wants to be silly with. ]

Have I ever been anything but?

( yes, yes he has. he's definitely been other than gentle with her but overall, he thinks he's gentle.

he takes her hand in his and then brushes his lips against here each and every knuckle before moving onto the tips of her fingers. )

Sometimes you're not.

[ katherine smiles happily at that. it's not a bad thing, the moments where he's ungentle.

she doesn't look away from him, watching him tend to her fingers in the only way he's ever tended to her—gently. ]

Oh. [ she pouts, furrowing her brows. ] I think I know somewhere else you can kiss.

Oh, this should be good.

( he kisses her fingers again before he peers up at her, grinning. )

So, what place should I kiss, Katherine?

[ arching her brow, she regards him with a pointed look. she doesn't move quickly, liking that he's touching her fingers. but her fingers are only one part of her, and possibly not the most fun part to kiss.

she taps the fingers of her other hand against her lips. ]

Here. Don't you think it'd be a good place to kiss?

I don't know, let me take a look.

( stefan reaches for her face, fingers brushing her thumbs before he hums. )

Your lips look a little dry.

[ her pleased smile falls as she regards him with a rather unimpressed look. her lips are not dry! she's applied the nicest red lipstick that makes her whole attempt to look nonchalant and not at all dressed up work for her! ]

Then maybe you should do something about that.

[ kiss them! ]

Do you want me to get you some chapstick?

( yes, he's being an ass. she's rubbed off on him in so many ways. )

[ smartass with a flat ass.

she slaps his chest lightly and crosses her arms against her chest, peering out at the yard. she doesn't care that she's pouting. she wants to pout! her perfect mistletoe plan is falling apart thanks to him! ]

You're not having my lips on any part of you ever again. [ she peers down at his crotch pointedly. ] Ever again.

Are you pouting?

( he doesn't believe her either. she's done this before, she'll do it again. )

Is Katherine Pierce, six hundred year old vampire, pouting?

I invented pouting.

[ she only continues to pout. she doesn't even bother to stop, nor does she turn to look at stefan. stubbornly, she looks out at the front yard, avoiding his gaze.

he doesn't get to look at her pout head-on after ruining her mistletoe plot! ]

( he wouldn't even be surprised if that was true. but he does laugh because she's being so pouty right now. )

Well, your pouting is very cute, you know.

[ if she says she did, of course she did! was he alive when she invented pouting? anyone who was her witness is conveniently dead…

she scrunches up her face in annoyance. ]

No, it's not. It is intimidating and makes you wish you had just kissed me, doesn't it?

[ it should. ]

No, it's cute. Your pouting is adorable.

( she had other ways of being terribly intimidating, it's true, but pouting wasn't one of them. )

It's gonna make me swoon soon if you're not careful.

[ she rolls her eyes. ]

Oh my god.

[ she purses her lips in frustration and turns to face him, not looking at all pleased. ]

You've ruined my mistletoe plot, Stefan.

There was a plot?

( stefan laughs because she really is the absolute cutest. )

How can I make it up to you? How can I fix it?

[ crossing her arms tightly against her chest, katherine continues to pout. she even tilts her head up defiantly. he's really ruined her plan!

not that katherine had one plan, of course. she's katherine pierce. she planned for her plans' plans. ]

You can kiss me—and properly. A kiss deserving of being beneath mistletoe.

Oh, is that all I have to do? Just kiss you?

( stefan laughs and then reaches for her face, hands cradling her cheeks. he brushes her thumbs against her skin and then brings her closer so he can kiss her just as requested. )

Better.

[ that's not her confessing this is a better way to go about her mistletoe plan. she means he can kiss her better.

she puffs air into her cheeks for fun. ]

That's hardly a mistletoe kiss.

[ it's fun talking with his hands on her cheeks. ]
