He'll run and run until he sees the distant shore, and sees that a lot of the water is frozen over...and then he'll run some more, because right now he only cares about getting away, and freezing in the icy waters barely registers as a concern right now. Besides, he bets if he can get there, the ice is more likely to hold his weight than his pursuers. Maybe he'll be lucky and the man will drop through the ice and Luca won't.
