No you're fine! Thanks, Midori-sensei.

[ Despite her nerves, Rena does feel better have someone with her. Even with a stranger... one claiming to be a doctor too. Normally someone like that might make her nervous, but there's a charm to Midori that relaxes her. Maybe it's a sign of her growth too.

She nods in response to him and then looks down at her hands, flexing them gently. ]

It was... but I feel okay. It's odd though: I know I should be really cold. Especially under ice water... but I'm not at all. I'm fine.

[ Rena shouldn't be, and she knows that. She also knows she melted that ice herself somehow but keeps that to herself right now. Her hands smart for a moment before she makes them relax, smiling up to him again. It's a little weak after thinking about all that, but it's genuine. ]

S-Sorry, that must sound really strange. I am glad to know there are good people here, though. Thank you for keeping me company.

Not at all.

[ He shakes his head, the gentle smile plastered on his face. He brings his hand to his chin as he gives her words some thought. Midori had been studying the different blood types, as well as the various way of utilizing them, so he has an idea of what she's describing. The real question was how to explain that to her without it being overwhelming. It was quite a bit to hear that your biology had changed. He's still disturbed by it, in fact.

But no matter, that's not the point right now. ]

That's common, [ He explains, keeping his tone calm and level. ] It's likely a result of coming here. When you arrive, the properties of your blood change. It's not well understood, but it's harmless, and it offers additional benefits.

[ Well, it was rather inconvenient if you had a certain type of blood, but no need to frighten her when it doesn't fit. ]

Perhaps it's a result of that.

[ Rena repeats it quietly while she stares at her hands. That seems impossible at first thought, but taking a moment to really think on, is it really that far out there? She knows she melted that ice. That she not cold at all now when she should be. It's an uncomfortable feeling she's forced to sit with, but she tries to remind herself someone is next to her now.

She tries her best to look away from her hands and meet his eyes. Even now it's hard though. ]
