[ Luke finished his last set, his green blade cutting through the mist, hissing softly from the moisture in the air, before finally settling into a rest stance. He was breathing hard from the exertion, yet even still, he felt like he could do more, like he could go all day if he wanted to, and part of him did. This kind of restlessness was new to him; even at his worst, he had never felt this lost. ]

There are other Force users here, with their lightsabers. You might have heard it from them.

[ He wasn't usually this good with mental communication -- he only managed vague nudges and feelings in the past, and only to Leia -- but like so many other things here, it seemed his change in blood had made that easier. It was a good thing right not, because he was breathing hard, needing to wipe his face off with a towel. ]

[there's an uneasiness to Blue's thoughts as he considers that, but even so:] It's possible... [but wherever it's from, he knows it's tied to something dreadful.

but that dreadful conclusion...beyond that blade, he can't see a connection to Luke directly, and for that he is relieved.]

You look quite tired...would you like some company while you catch your breath?

[ He spared him a smile at that, closing down his lightsaber and returning it to his belt. ]

Absolutely. I've been practicing for awhile.

[ Luke plopped down on a rock, letting out a shuddering breath as he did so. He made one last attempt at swiping all the sweat off his face, before glancing over at Blue again. ]

I've felt so restless lately. I feel like this place is responsible for that, but I have no proof.

[Blue and the lion approach, the former coming to settle on the nearest vacant stone, his gaze breaking from Luke only briefly in doing so.]

I have that feeling, myself...to keep moving. To anticipate...something. But I don't know what it could be.

It's different than the call of that lonely Pthumerian...but perhaps it is related somehow? There are others about, I'm told.

[ Luke smiled softly at the lion. He hadn't figured out how to call up his own Omen yet, so he really liked to see what others had. ]

It's terrible; I haven't felt this restless since I began to harness my powers. I worry a little it may cause problems.

[ Last thing he needed was to tip toward the Dark Side just because he couldn't control himself. ]

[problems? Blue frowns thoughtfully, taking a moment to more carefully assess the state of the young man - to try and glean a little more than just the surface-level antsiness reverberating off of him.

...that might be more that worry beneath the surface.]

Has such a thing happened before, in your past?

[ There was worry, certainly... and underneath that, fear and anger over the situation. It was controlled, but the antsiness was poking at it, just daring it to break apart along with a... whisper of something. Not words that Luke said or heard, but words that reached him regardless. He has too much of his father in him. ]

I used to be very impatient when I was younger. It led me to making some very poor choices. I've worked to move past that, but...

[ He shrugged helplessly. ]

If that impatience starts stoking more negative emotions, I may have trouble controlling myself.

[Blue is quietly humbled that he would admit these worries to him - someone only just recently acquainted to. but with that feeling also comes the sense of duty...a rise to some call to support.

it's only natural.]

...Will you tell me, then? What I could do to help you. I want to. Especially since...this place seems keen to prey on our weaknesses and corrupt it beyond our own control.

It's happened to many already; I'd hate to see you succumb, too.

I know...

[ Luke paused a moment, frowning slightly, before hugging his arms to his chest. ]

My father fell prey to his own weakness, and the corruption was quick to take hold. A friend was able to help him, but I worry that it may happen again and again.

[ The worry that no one would be safe -- not him, not his friends; flashes of faces, some that were here and some that were not -- crossed his mind for a moment before he regained control of himself, passing an apologetic look over to Blue for the lapse. ]

Being... what I am, being a Jedi. It's hard to maintain that balance when there's so much working against you.

Then it seems...you, too, will need a friend.

[Blue smiles a little, aware he's making something of an imposition, but...he believes in his strength of mind more than anything about himself, and connection...it's what being a Mu is all about, really.]

Keeping one's balance is easier with extra hands to steady you. If you'd let me...I would be glad to help.

[ Luke paused a moment, before peering over at him, offering a faint smile. ]

I appreciate that…

[ He hesitated a moment, before letting out a breath, ducking his head. ]

I showed you that picture of my friends, but… I think it took until recently that I realized how alone I was out here. That my mentor isn’t my mentor and my father isn’t the man I knew, for better or worse depending on your point of view, and it’s just…

[ He shook his head. ]

Thing I’m trying to say is, I need to pay more attention to the friends I can make here, and I’m glad you’re making the offer first.

[Blue nods, feeling an empathetic beat of loneliness on Luke's behalf. he knows that pain...being estranged from one's loved ones, the most familiar ones...

motivated by that, he extends a hand out to him.]
