the stars, the moon, they have all been blown out (OPEN)
Who: Frisk and your character!
What: It's a catch all for the event
When: During the event.
Where: Around town & the party
Content Warnings: Possible mentions of child murder & genocide
A) i. snake den

( Frisk might not be participating in the talent show, but they're here to participate in the party regardless. They aren't someone who's all that social to begin with, but they're not not the kind of child to shy away from seeing anything new that might be going on, too. They've found themselves quite fond of exploring at home, and that's something that's carried onto this world here.
For the most part, Frisk will be keeping to themselves, but not quite being a wallflower. They'll be seeing what the party has to offer.
Once they spot the pillows piled around the area, they'll do something... a bit odd-looking in a party like this. They'll be taking the time to make a pillow fort in one of the corners of the room. Leave a child with a pile of pillows, and that's what's bound to happen. After a while, they'll step away from the fort, cupping their chin and quietly admiring their handywork. )
A) ii. all you need is LOVE

( A while into the party, and the opposite of stress-relief seems to hit Frisk all at once. The differences between their Partner and themselves seem to come into full-swing once more – only, Frisk is the one who feels the negative part of it all. Instead of openly making their way through the party, they'll find themselves staying put in one area.
They find a nearby corner to stay next to, folding their arms and keeping a close eye on those around them. Despite being around others who are seemingly in a good mood, Frisk feels distrusting, wary of those around them. If anyone approaches them suddenly, they'll send them a rather wary look. They have no weapon, nothing to defend themselves from anyone who could be particularly dangerous. It's a lot to take in at once – almost as if the young child is feeling an extreme case of mood whiplash.
If anyone does try to get their attention, Frisk's brows knit together, straightening quickly. Their gaze is distant, and they only greet them after a while. )
... What?
B) the shedding ceremony

( The change comes drastically once more.
What once looked human looks like something similar to who Frisk once was but there are some extreme differences. Their hair has darkened, and their face has turned considerably lighter -- their eyes pitch black, but still far more expressive than they once were. It's almost as if Frisk has changed into a ghost -- if not for the faint glow surrounding them.
They don't hesitate to explore the new world around them, but they feel completely out of their element. With all the knowledge of difference universes and timelines in the world they know, nothing could have prepared them for this.
They can be seen at various locations -- the beach, around town, near their own home. )
This can't be right. I don't belong here.
( This feels like it should be a dream. But, it doesn't feel like that at all. )
C) unsnakely

( Frisk is not a fighter by any means, but they are in no means a coward, either.
They hear about the dangers of the snake that seems to have made its way into town, and Frisk can't help but want to step in and assist anyone who might be caught in the crossfire of the snake. If Frisk just so happens to find your character close to the snake, they'll ignore their own vertigo and fight the nausea in order to make their way to them.
They offer a small hand to take, brows furrowed and a desperate look on their face. )
Come on! ( Never mind the danger that they're in. They're used to getting hurt. They're more concerned about the other person. )

B
But Frisk is their... friend. They know that. Frisk is a good person, a better person than they are, probably, and they want Frisk to be happy, so they approach with a small smile on their face.]
Aren't you going to perform? You could stack hot dogs on your head.
no subject
... No. I don't want to.
no subject
no subject
( The answer comes quickly. They don't have their usual patience right now.
They already said no, didn't they? If anything, they want to leave. So, they'll turn away to do just that. Chara can stay and perform if they want to, but they have no interest in doing so. )
no subject
What's with you? Is something wrong?
no subject
Somewhere in the back of their mind, they know that Chara doesn't deserve what might come if they speak to them now. A small thought tells them that they've done enough damage. )
I want to leave. You shouldn't follow me.
no subject
Not until you tell me what's wrong.
no subject
( Frisk can't help but feel that Chara of all people should understand what they're feeling -- or rather, not feeling right now. That the last thing they need or want right now is someone to push them.
Why is their connection failing now of all times? )
You should already know.
no subject
You've gained LOVE.
[This has the potential to be a big problem, but Chara is stubborn.]
That's all the more reason why you shouldn't push me away.
no subject
( There's nothing that can be done about this. Chara should know that, too. So once again, Frisk is going to try to create that distance between them between them. )
no subject
That doesn't mean you have to be alone, Frisk.
no subject
( They know they don't have to be alone. They want to be alone. Chara can't keep pushing themselves to try to help -- not when Frisk is actively pushing them away for their Partner's sake. )
no subject
[To someone else, having their own irrational words and thoughts thrown back at them, being in the situation of the person who you were arguing with, that might cause them to change their mind.
But not Chara, unfortunately.]
It's different. Just let me stay with you until we're back to normal, alright?
no subject
( They don't want to be protected right now. Why can't Chara see that? )
You only listen when you want to listen.
( It's perhaps far too blunt, and the usual kindness that Frisk has had since the both of them had met is gone right now. They'll regret their words later on. )
no subject
I could say the same thing about you. [Even though they remain uncorrupted by LOVE, Chara has always had a cold side that comes out whenever they don't want to deal with something. And currently, Frisk is pushing that button.]
In this state, I know you're not helpless. That's part of the problem. You're my responsibility, I'm not letting you shake me off that easily.
no subject
* In my way. )
You never tried to stop me from making my own decisions before.
no subject
[They cross their arms. They know there wasn't actually anything they could do when it came down to it, except help them less. They could have forced Frisk to rely on their own DETERMINATION to wake up, without any added assistance.
But they can play at being in control as much as they like, both Frisk and Chara were puppets on a string at the end of the day.]
For both of our sakes.
no subject
This is the way it should be here.
( Frisk is the one who should have LOVE. They were the one who caused all of this to begin with. )
no subject
I don't want to fight you, and I don't want to lose you either. Despite everything, it's still you.
If you want to go home, we can go, but don't push me away.
no subject
( Frisk responds almost instantly. It almost feels uncharacteristic for them, but perhaps they can't help it. )
... Everyone was able to go free because of you and Asriel.
( Frisk wouldn't have been able to reach out to him in the end if it hadn't been for Chara... they know the extent of that now.
They go silent at what Chara says next, however. It's how they felt when their situations have been reversed. The last thing that they want is to lose Chara. Despite having only just met face-to-face here, there's no denying the connection they share. )
I don't want to hurt you.
But, I don't want to push you away, either.
a
You makin' a house? [Making a pillow fort is something that's never occurred to Mebh before. Pillows weren't exactly easy for her to come by back home to begin with.]
no subject
They smile, puffing their chest out at the work they've done -- obviously very proud of their handiwork. )
It's a pillowfort.
( They pause for a moment. )
I like your outfit.
no subject
[She's never really seen an outfit like it before, but she rarely ever gets new clothes so she's not going to think too hard about it.]
Didn't know you could make a house out of pillows. Couldn't somebody knock it down easily?
no subject
( But... even if it's really easily destroyed, that doesn't really destroy the point of it, either. )
But, it was still fun to make. ( Frisk is a simple kid, for the most part. ) Do you want to go in?
no subject
[At least it's something else to do here. She mainly came here for snacks, and there aren't a lot of people close to her age at this party.]
If anybody does try to knock it down, I'll scare 'em off for you.
no subject
( Frisk moves to adjust the pillows a bit then, letting their newfound friend go in first. )
We can rebuild it together.
no subject
[Mebh gets on all fours, which is all too natural for her, and crawls into the fort.]
Maybe I should have brought us some tasties...
no subject
We can still get some. What kind did you want?
no subject
[That's her immediate answer. Mebh doesn't discriminate when it comes to food.]
We should get as much as we can carry!
no subject
( They're quick to agree. )
It'll sort of be like having a feast for the both of us.
( One with some junk food tossed into it. )
B
When he sees Frisk, he shyly comes towards them, his voice soft.]
Are you from another planet too?
no subject
Sort of. ( How does one explain that they're from multiple worlds? ) A lot of people have come from different worlds.
Were you out here to explore? I was going to take a look around myself.
no subject
Of course. There's lots of different planets out there in the galaxy.
[Maul as a child doesn't easily understand the concept of the multiverse but he can relate to there being planets without number all filled with different sorts of people and places. He nods at the question.]
Uh-huh. My brother Savage said I can go exploring after I finish my chores 'n I already did them today.
no subject
( It'd be nice to have the company of someone else here who has the same experience Frisk has, to a degree. )
Let's look around together! It's more fun to have company.
cw: child abuse mentions
[Especially considering what Sidious does is essentially dump the poor boy on a planet and tell him to survive by any means necessary until his master comes back for him. But Maul is scrappy, tenacious, and above all has a stubborn streak a mile wide, so he's been able to survive up until now.]
'Kay. My brother told me about some stables nearby where they keep all the horses. Wanna go see them?
no subject
( They aren't so sure if that was the case for this person. But... maybe Frisk can help things change a little for them.
They offer a small smile. )
Okay. Let's go!
no subject
[This is the first time in a long while Maul has been able to be around other people which also hasn't done any favors for his socialization skills.
He trots down the street and tries to follow the directions his brother gave him to get to the stables. Maul ends up doubling back twice but he does get there eventually. He gestures for Frisk to follow him inside.]
My brother's horse is here. He said it's the biggest horse in here!
