They're a race of being from another planet.

[Yes... aliens. But, after having met so many across the universe during his time with Voltron, Keith didn't really find that word a good descriptor anymore. He's been the alien by landing on other planets. Heck, he is the alien if one considered his mixed heritage of Galra and human.]

He came back... actually. [And that got Keith to smile a bit.] It took almost a whole year, but... he managed to escape, and come back. He was... different, but not a lot. What he went through out there as one of their prisoners, it wasn't easy. They did things to him, made him fight other people in death matches for entertainment. But, he survived. Even with being sick. But, that's who he is. He's just stubborn and a survivor.

I guess [Keith looked down for a moment.] that's what drew him to me. Maybe he saw something of himself. But he's become my brother now. He means a lot to me.

[retsuden]

[ Well at least his world isn't the only one dealing with aliens.

Sasuke does not particularly care for feeling hugely empathetic, but there's no way around it with all this. It's one of those moments he particularly hates the Uchiha tendency to just feel too much, too deeply. It causes him to take a deep breath, especially when he mentions the feelings of brotherhood, and letting it out slowly. ]

I'm glad you got to be together again. Brothers, blood or otherwise, are something to deeply cherish. No one should have to stay separated from one for good.

[Keith nodded a little.]

Unfortunately, life doesn't always work out that way, but... Shiro and I have been lucky that we've always been there for each other.

Very, very lucky.

[Considering all the times they almost weren't... even just back home.

It was then that the scenery shifted, more dreamlike and less of a memory, and a glowing white stag could be seen, almost like it was beckoning them to follow.]

I think that means there's nothing left to see.

[ He nods in quiet agreement. There's always a small relief when he hears people recognize just how fortunate they are to have those sorts of bonds, something comforting in knowing it's not being taken for granted the way many relationships were.

He stares at the stag for a moment, before looking over to Keith. He knows his name now, thanks to all this, but he's realizing he's a complete stranger watching something more vulnerable. ]

I'm Sasuke. My apologies for viewing something that you may have wanted to be private.

[ Like he had... a choice... ]

[Keith looked a little surprised for a moment, and then almost smiled.]

Nah. I mean... it was a rough memory, but... there are some good points in there. [He shrugged a bit.] And it's not like having a juvvie record makes me a total horror show, right?

I appreciate the thought, though. Sasuke. [After a second, he put out his hand.] Maybe we'll see each other around town instead of just weird memory sharing things.

[retsuden]

[ Hah. Sasuke lets out an amused huff. He would absolutely know enough about horror shows.

He takes his hand, giving it a quick shake. ]

Maybe. Though knowing this place, it'll be just as weird.

It wouldn't surprise me... honestly.
