[Well, that certainly was the question of the evening, wasn't it? While it wasn't widely known he was a half-breed, those who had figured it out in the Galra didn't always react kindly to the news. There were still Galra purists, even among the Blades. So, Keith... or, rather, "Yorak" had certainly dealt with his share of feeling like an outsider even among those he considered his own.

As for the Arts?

He shook his head.]

Mostly art. [So, maybe a little of both...]

[ There is context there, a heaviness that Mako has no idea what to ascribe to. Familiar, though. Mako thinks too much, too, always has to think through his words before he says them. He won't push, because he wouldn't want to be pushed, but he gives Keith a sidelong look, his eyes full of understanding. ]

I get it. Didn't think I'd miss art from my world, but... everyone here is missing something.

Talk to Wu sometime. Maybe he can help you recreate some of it.

[Behind the mask, Keith frowned a bit. Honestly, the 'loss' of the arts had happened well before he'd been born. He wasn't technically missing it on a personal level, but more of a cultural one, he supposed. There was a soft sigh.]

I'm not certain I can even recall anything well enough to recreate it. I was never truly exposed to it. The Galra lost that part of their culture a long time ago, long before I came to be.

[His tone was... disappointed. It would be nice to have something more to his culture than just war and conquest... fighting... When the main source of entertainment was watching enslaved gladiators fight in an arena against their will, there wasn't much 'art' left to enjoy.]
