What: A training and teambuilding exercise.

[ Welcome, everyone, to Ozpin's favorite initiation ritual. With a kaiju battle on the way, now is the time for practice and teambuilding.

Please read Ozpin's starter for the instructions provided ICly, but you don't have to tag Ozpin to participate.

Feel free to use as many or as few of the beats below as you prefer. You can specify open, open to first tagger, closed to [character], etc. You can reach me at ochrona or Rona#7132 with any questions! ]

Should've brought Repede...

[ Yuri murmurs the words, then Smokey caws and takes off from his shoulder. Yuri stares after him, wondering what that's about, but, hell. Here they are. ]

Think that old guy knows what he's talking about?

[ He's talking about Ozpin, as he trails after Kosmo ]

[tempredmental]

As far as how to handle training? Or about what's out there in the woods? 'Cuz, I gotta say... this is a pretty unique training exercise.

[And Keith had been through a lot of weird training exercises when he'd first been recruited for Voltron. "Recruited" was kind of the nice way of putting it, though.]

And I'm kinda new to this place, so I don't know all the monsters that are around here, yet. Still learning.

[Kosmo huffed quietly, still sniffing, but he seemed to understand what they were talking about.]

[vibing]

Eh, they're just monsters. Big teeth, big claws, want to fuck you up. No different than any others.

[ It's pretty blasé, but, well, it's how he feels ]

Bet you can handle it.

[ And, as if summoned, there's a crackling of leaves and brush nearby, and Yuri reaches for his sword as a pair of big cat-like monsters step out of the trees, growling low at them. Yuri glances at Keith with a bright grin. ]

Ready?

[tempredmental]

[Keith drew both weapons, his bayard appearing with a flash of light, and the dagger he pulled from the sheath on his belt. He nodded, the dagger glowing for a moment before shifting into a sword form.]

Let's do it.

[Kosmo crouched, growling at the monsters as his fur stood on end. He was ready, too.]

[vibing]

[ Now that-- That looks familiar. Yuri hesitates a moment longer, shaking his head. He's seen that before. He's definitely seen that before.

But, he tosses away his sheath and follows after Keith toward the beasts, who growl and then leap into the attack. As they fight, Yuri striking and parrying those clawed paws: ]

That sword of yours, that's pretty cool. Those pretty common where you're from?

[tempredmental]

[Keith shook his head as he fought.]

Nope.

[Honestly, neither sword was. There were only five bayards, after all, and each one transformed depending on the Paladin using it. As for the luxite dagger, that was definitely rare. They weren't exactly able to get more ore for them, either. The planet it was unique to was gone.]
