Oh, that’s good. Master says I’m not allowed to be a Nightbrother anymore ‘n that I have to learn to be a Sith but that’s dumb. Nightbrothers are still Nightbrothers no matter where they go. That’s why we have tattoos!
[One of Sidious’ mistakes was not taking Maul early enough that he didn’t have any memories of Dathomir. Had he done so, Maul might have been easier to control because being raised by his master would be all that he knew. But taking him after the point where he had formed memories of his family and culture meant his identity as a Nightbrother could never fully be stamped out of him.
Once he was set down, he ran excitedly all over the house. Several of the rooms were still unfinished and those he only gave a quick look into before moving on. It was others, like the bedroom, weapons room, and the room where the animals slept in that he spent longer in. But it was the Lego room that fascinated him. All the little sculptures put together with so many pieces to them were amazing to the young kit. He would have stayed longer but when Savage called out that there was food, he gave a squeal of delight and zoomed back down the stairs to go into the kitchen.
He sniffed the meat and cheese cautiously. The scents were far different than the same types of food he was used to in his own galaxy, but this was a very different planet so it stood to reason there were different animals the food was made from.
He ate slowly at first, wanting to make sure that he’d enjoy everything that he ate, but Maul soon realized all of it tasted really good, just the kind of things he would have picked out for himself had he been given a choice from a selection. Since his hunger was immense thanks to his master never giving him enough to eat, he started to eat faster and never even thought to question how the big Nightbrother would have known exactly what kind of meat and cheese he’d like to eat. Once he started slowing down, he asked after swallowing a mouthful of food:]
What is the room with all the little sculptures in it?
