THE RIVER OF DREAMS

W1. VISION
OPEN TO TWO PEOPLE | cw: dead body, grief, some telepathy.
She hadn't expected to see him.
She has the same reaction as she had in the 1960s: gasping, hand to her chest, looking away as quickly as she can. Vision is discoloured and tied to a post that seems to crack and splinter beneath the weight of Vibranium.
When she dares to look up at him again, he doesn't change. The vibrancy of his red isn't there. His eyes are still dead. The hole in the head she had put there is still there.
Even though Wanda looks away and to her companion in the canoe with a tense, forced smile that's meant to convey everything is all right, she can't help but look back to find him gone.
Had she made him disappear?
Panicking, she looks around, the boat moving beneath her weight. "Where is he?" She looks back to where he had been, but Vision isn't tied to the damaged post.
You may notice the water to the side of the canoe is beginning to glow a scarlet red. It doesn't flicker or fade, deepening in intensity. It begins to bleed a little wider than the canoe, turning the water from a heavy translucent into scarlet. Wanda needs to calm down before she upends the canoe.
The next time Vision will appear, he'll be tied to a post with barbed wire—skin still a mottled purple, eyes still dead, his head penetrable.
A thought might enter your head, feeling as though it's your own before it becomes something like a memory, perhaps that of a line you recall from a television show. It doesn't matter where it comes from, all that matters is how it sounds—loud and clear and cheerful: My husband and his indestructible head.
W2. PIETRO I
OPEN TO TWO PEOPLE | cw: dead body, dead person, wanda trying to resurrect them and the consequences of that
When Wanda picks up the raven feather again, she doesn't know what to expect. When she had come on the canoe for the second time, she had seen him. Not Vision, not her husband who she longs to see once more with vibrant red or a thick head of soft blonde hair. She wants to see him, the brother who's outrun her even when she's done her best to slow him down.
Wanda hums in response to any conversation, too wrapped up in the canoe's approach to where she had first seen Pietro. While he had appeared tied and dead in the body he had in Westview—the wrong face, too tall with gangly limbs—she knows he's near. He has to be. There's no other reason for her feeling whole.
Looking around the canoe, she ignores her companion for a moment as she tries to search for him. He's not there. No one is there. No one is tied to the posts to the right of the canoe, but when she turns to the left…
Pietro—her Pietro, the one with the thick, soft hair and the calloused hands and the bullet holes in his chest—is tied to a post, body too relaxed for her liking. She doesn't look away this time. She stares at him, wills for him to somehow come loose, for this to be some nightmare that has him coming back to her and grasping at his fingertips. His hands remain too boneless.
Her own don't.
Hands gripping the corner of the canoe, she presses on her heels as she leans her weight towards the water, her determination set as she tries to will Pietro to patch together.
The water beneath the canoe begins to glow a bright red. The wood of the canoe begins to bleed and stain a scarlet red. Even where you're sitting, it turns to a magical red and begins to glow. A crown begins to glow at the crown of Wanda's head; bright and red, regal and terrifying all the same.
She's going to bring him back.
THE BLOODY HUNGER GAMES

W3. MIND CONTROL TIME
the intention is for wanda to mind control monsters. let me know if you would like her to mind control your character to prevent them from harming her, a dangerous monster, and/or be able to ignore their bloodlust.
The monster barely stands a chance.
Its eyes are the first to glow red, followed by its tight fists. Its nails slice into its palms. Wanda's own eyes are a bright red as she tilts her head to the side, her face stern and tight with control. It's effortless to control the hairy monster. It pauses mid-attack and begins to pull its arms back to its sides fluidly, moving in a seamless way that makes it appear like it's beneath water. It's a stark contrast to how it used to move before—jerkily, angrily, violently.
Its eyes glaze over. Jaw set, it immediately slackens. Red glows beneath its skin as it stands tall, to attention. Ready and compliant.
Stop.
Everything stops. The world around you, the trembling, the bloodlust—it all stops for a moment. Just a moment. Perhaps it's enough to knock you out of your bloodlust stupor. Perhaps it's not. Either way, the monster begins to rip apart, glowing red until it's encompassed by the colour and its molecules begin to tear it to pieces.
The monster had been horrible and wrong, but Wanda doesn't kill it unkindly. She lets it disappear, turn into red pieces of dust. She summons a wind to make it drift away. The stupor begins to end; the silence of the bloodlust may begin to grow louder again.
Wanda's eyes still glow red as she watches the monster float way. A part of her is a little envious of its freedom.
W4. MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR
wanda is at full power so please be aware that she will be hard to take down, although she'll be distracted by the crowds due to her telepathy. she will only blast to disarm/ stop your character and telepathically levitate your character if you opt to engage with her.
Wanda wants it all to stop.
The cheering. The loud screams. The clapping, the chanting, the stomping of feet. She wants the bloodlust to stop, the hunger to disappear and be sated. She wants the control the Trench has on her to let go and let her be free. But Wanda stands in an arena like she's a gladiator being forced to fight—and she won't fight.
She won't do it. Her palms glow red, her fingers curling around the balls of energy. They glow bright before they begin to disappear, the red fading until she's able to close her fingers into a fist around nothing.
She looks at you before letting out a small breath. She can fight this. The bloodlust won't be stronger than her. The grief won't be stronger than her. Nothing will get the better of her anymore.
Wearing her Scarlet Witch attire, Wanda looks out of place. Perhaps regal in her own right. She lets her shoulders slouch and her hands remain balled into loose fists by her side.
"I don't want to fight you. I don't think you want to fight me, either."
FLOWER POWER

K1. FOXY KATERINA
No matter where she goes, a little fox follows. It's a soft looking thing with thick fur. She tries to outrun it at vampire speed, but when she stops to peer over her shoulder, the little creature is sitting quietly and patiently for her.
All she wants to do is shop, gather more information, and shop.
She ignores it, letting it follow her. With a flower in her hand, she twirls it around. It feels poignant, like something she shouldn't just toss over her shoulder as if it's merely weeds beneath her foot. She grips it gently, ensuring not to fold or mar a single petal.
"Okay," she sighs exasperatedly, turning around to face the fox. Pointedly looking at it, she states as intimidatingly as she can, "You and I need to talk. Wherever you're from, you need to go back. Okay? Talk done. Shoo."
Waving her hand dismissively, her omen doesn't leave. If anything, it looks at you and tilts its head as if to say She can't get rid of me. Aren't I cute?
THE BLOODY HUNGER GAMES

K2. THE MONSTER MASH
cw: blood magic, blood, guts, violence.
The monster barely stands a chance.
Pelting towards its back, her hand clearly cuts through the beast's thick chest as she grips its heart and tugs it clear through its back. It wails—an ugly, tortured sound—and growls, and the moment it lifts his thick claws up into the air ready to swipe, the beast's body grows rigid.
It's instinct—pure instinct, pure adrenaline—that has Katherine tapping into its blood. She pulls it forward, commands it. The dying beast is unnaturally straight and stiff as it wails and grows quiet. When Katherine drops her control, it thuds onto the ground.
Covered in blood and sweat, Katherine wipes the back of her bloodied hand against her mouth. Veins protrude from beneath her blackened eyes as she licks at her pointy fangs.
"Well, that's one down."
And a few more to go. That desire for blood, for violence and hate dissipates somewhat. But Katherine's been doing this long enough to know that it's only going to come back again.
She looks up at you with an expectant cock of her brow. Want to go monster killing?
K3. MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR
katherine is a 500+yo vampire who is physically very strong and an excellent fighter. she's susceptible to magic. fyi she won't bite anyone. let me know if you're up for her compelling (aka mind control) your character to make them stop giving into their bloodlust!
It's only a matter of time before she makes the spotlight. Despite being someone who very much enjoys being the centre of attention when it suits her, this doesn't. Not at all. Face bloodied and hair (still stylish, by the way) knotted, Katherine stands with her hip jutted out as the crowd cheers far too loudly for it to be anything but annoying.
She looks at her opponent with a tired look. Her eyes are their usual warm brown, the veins beneath her eyes not present at the moment. Her true nature has hidden itself away after a brutal monster killing for everyone to enjoy.
She doesn't want to kill anyone. She's changed—she's not a murderer without a good cause, and this isn't it. Katherine knows that she won't advance any further if she kills this person. There's no game play here. This isn't a chessboard.
It's just stupid, blind entertainment.
"So," she drawls, "are you going in for the kill or are you going to play nice?"
OOC/ WILDCARD
Feel free to pm me if you want to hash something out! You can hit me up with prose or action spam me—I'm not fussed! I don't want Katherine or Wanda to be killed and I'd like to avoid them killing anyone in Bloodsport. Wanda's available to almost harm someone as long as I can have her snap out of it.

That's his philosophy, at least. He doesn't care what people think of him or how he acts. He does what he does for reasons that are his own and that he's not going to explain to anyone. If they want to know, they can ask. But he still won't tell.
"The most important person in my life is me. I've lost a shit load of people over the last few years. I'm not going to let people get close enough for me to want to bend over backwards for them."
no subject
She tries that out for size. Brows furrowing, she nods. it's simple: fuck them. Fuck anyone who doesn't like her for who she is. That's something Pietro would remind her of. It's something Pietro would get into trouble to see come to fruition.
She smiles and repeats it in Sokovian. Yep, that's definitely a good saying. It's one she's going to carry with her for a little while longer and try on for size.
"But you let people get close to you, don't you? It would be sad to think otherwise."
no subject
He'd lost so many people lately that it was hard to want to experience that again and again. He thought himself immune but he was wrong.
"People leave. They leave me behind and I'm not dealing with what happens after that. Not again."
no subject
She can't help but say it. It is sad. Wanda knows what it's like to be left behind by people. Mama, Papa, Pietro, Vision, her boys, the Avengers... but she doesn't quite know if she can completely close herself off like that. She doesn't think she has. She's made a few friends in Deer Country already... Someone who is closed off wouldn't make connections, would they?
"Not everyone leaves. Some people stay with you forever. You just have to be open to seeing them."
no subject
He doesn't believe her. He's lost too many people to believe that they stay forever. He's never going to be the type that buys into things like that. Unfortunate but true. He depends on himself first and foremost.
"I've been open. I've gotten burned so I'm just going to depend on myself."
no subject
"You don't find that's lonely?" She asks it out of pure curiousity. Wanda hasn't quite closed herself off in the way Amos is describing he has, but she thinks she had been close to it.
no subject
He shrugs.
"Do you really want to open yourself up and then suffer a loss so terrible that it aches for years and years?"
Because it's happened to him. It's happened to him a few times over the course of his life and he doesn't want to deal with it again.
no subject
Wanda wrings her hands together in her lap and looks away towards the red sheet that she still keeps erected around the canoe.
"I took over an entire town because I was hurt." She shakes her head, brows furrowing. "I ended up hurting a lot of people."
no subject
"Did it help you? Taking over a town?"
Had it helped her get past whatever had driven her to that in the first place? He's not going to go out there and assault a bunch of people but he's heard worse coping mechanisms.
no subject
She wishes she could say that it did. She wishes she could say taking it out on a town of hundreds had made her feel better. But all it had done was make her feel worse. She had piled on hurt and she had used people as vessels to temporarily store her anger and grief and sadness.
"I ended up losing a lot more." Herself. Her family. Any semblance of being able to find Pietro again. "My brother was there." She gestures with a vague wave of her hand towards what rests outside of the red shields. "He looked like someone else. I thought that if he was here... maybe I wouldn't be so alone. But he's not."
no subject
"And so what are you gonna do now?"
She already knows his thing is not getting attached. She'd argued against that but he wonders if she really thinks it's so bad.
no subject
She shrugs, feeling a touch pathetic for her answer. "I don't know."
For the girl who had a script for every decade of television, it's a little funny that she doesn't have a plan. She smiles small at that.
"I guess I'll take it one day at a time. Maybe avoid lighthouses for a little while."
no subject
Amos laughs a little about the idea of avoiding lighthouses. He hasn't seen one of them here yet but things popped up out of the blue in Deerington so it wouldn't surprise him to see it happen here.
"Sorry you couldn't see more of space when we were up there. There's a lot to see."
He would have liked to show her more.
no subject
Wanda gives him a small appreciative smile. The one thing Amos may come to learn about her is that nothing is impossible. She can create anything, bring anything to life.
So, that's what she does.
With a little glance upward, it's as if their canoe has become a little safe haven. The top is a small dark blue dome peppered with little white dots. "Space looks like that to me."
no subject
There's more to space than that but they hadn't had time to explore it. She'd seen some good parts but thankfully, they'd managed to avoid the bad. He sighs, peering up at her.
"Would you want to go back if you could?"
no subject
While she keeps space high above them, it slowly changes, glittering like a completely different world. A round ball appears and glows brightly, coloured a white silver. She thinks that's what the moon should look like. Nice and round and so bright she can't look up at it without squinting.
"Would I get to meet an alien?"
no subject
He thinks that she'd get to meet a Martian, at least, but she'd be disappointed since it's not like a Martian looks different from the two of them.
"What sorts of things has television told you aliens are?"
no subject
In case Amos has never seen him before, she easily makes him appear out of nowhere. He easily walks along the moon and waves his giant, round hand. He looks pretty in green and as he belongs in the dome that she's created above them.
"Have you ever heard of him?"
no subject
Amos stares at what she's created and shakes his head. He's never seen anything like that where he's from so he's not going to be the type to introduce her to aliens.
"I don't know if those exist. What is he?"
no subject
Which, Wanda knows by her small smile, he probably lacks context to. She likes the Looney Tunes and their strange and wild adventures. It's an element of her childhood she failed to introduce into Westview, even though she's certain Billy and Tommy had binge watched them once.
"He's Marvin the Martian. He's very friendly. He's a television character, one who gets up to mischief all the time." She looks at Amos. "He's not as surly as you."
no subject
He doesn't really know what Looney Tunes are either. A cartoon, sure, but beyond that, he doesn't really know what she's talking about. She likes it and that's good but she'd be let down if she knew what real Martians looked like.
"And not all Martians are friendly."
no subject
Despite how she may sometimes live in a fantasy land where everything is within her control, Wanda knows this. Not every hero is kind. Not every villain is cruel. Sometimes, the hero can be the cruellest of them all.
She rubs her hands against her thighs. Tilting her head to the side, she looks at him inquisitively. "Isn't that just the way the world is?"
no subject
No, it is. It's absolutely how the world is but —
"No Martians that I know of look like that so I think you're gonna be disappointed if you go looking. And they might get a little pissy if you ask them why they don't look like that."
Not that she couldn't handle that.
no subject
Talking about aliens and space seems to be better than discussing or even giving the river a moment of their time. She looks at Amos with interest, wondering whether aliens are different to people. She imagines not. Rocket had been strange, but he had been nice… and the little tree was very friendly…
"No," she smiles and lifts her hand, thinking up a better question. "Do you piss them off a lot?"
no subject
Amos puts on his most innocent expression and shrugs his shoulder. Does that look like the face of someone who pisses anyone off? Come on, Wanda.
"I'm a saint."
Ha.
