I don't know. I hope it's not permanent, but all the other... [She pauses for a beat, looking for a term that fits that doesn't feel too harsh] side effects wore off after a couple days. I get the impression this isn't super common from what we've seen since we all got here, so I guess it's research time.

[She feels okay, mostly. A lot of frustration, a lot of confusion, and anxiety. Seeing mushrooms that she's already figured out aren't actually real doesn't help with those feelings at all. Another Pthumerian trick in what she's been told is a regular parade of the higher beings in this place messing with them. She can't help but feel like there's probably some Pthumerian out there responsible for her lost memory, and it's impossible not to feel a little bitter towards them as well.]

Yeah, I was a squid - that guy I mentioned that helped me? He's a ship's captain, I guess. He found me, but I didn't know where I lived and he wasn't sure either, except that we were in the same neighbourhood. So I stayed with him and his people for a couple days until Faith showed up.

So you still feel things the same? [She was straying too far into her own secrets, but she was genuinely curious. Death worked differently here, so maybe the end result was different too?] Research seems like the best place to start, I'm sure we can find something?

Faith found you? That had to be weird, if you don't remember when she arrived.

It felt weird at first - surreal. Especially with the whole squid... thing.

[She can still remember the feel of her slimy arms curled around the ship's Captain's hand as he coaxed her back into being a person again.]

I feel mostly okay now, though? Just the whole can't remember the last six months thing.

[The latter part is said lightly, like it's not a big deal. It is, of course, but at least she can pretend it's less of a problem around Tara, if only for a little while.]

But yeah, Faith finding me was weird. Especially since she was actually nice to me? It, uh, wasn't what I was expecting after the last time we saw her.
