That is trouble. I'm glad you're looking for help on this. [ His tone is low and thoughtful, and he seems to mean it quite earnestly. He frees his hands to rub at his chin. ] Know that I say this as delicately as I can: does this mean we'll have other wolves running around town? In a permanent capacity?

[It could be a lot worse, but it still feels important to keep it from happening again before anyone else gets hurt. It does seem important to give a bit more context though.]
I'm just kind of a little extra jumpy, I guess. After, you know, everything.

[ It's an interesting puzzle, genuinely. He sits back to consider it. ]
I would like to help you, Willow. It's possible I may be able to. But this isn't the magic of my world— from what you've said, it's not the magic of yours, either. I do have a few starting theories, and I don't think it would hurt to try... but I will need everything you're able to tell me about the condition.
[ He quirks a smile at her. ]
We'll see if we can solve your furry little problem.

[She wouldn't wish this on anyone. She assumes she's probably exhausted all other avenues for a solution, and she just can't remember it. But as far as she's aware, she's never bit anyone before either, even if the circumstances make it a little more understandable.
Willow manages a little smile at the attempt at humour, but really, she's mostly relieved that he is willing to help, and that he may even have some ideas already.]
Yeah, this definitely isn't anything like werewolves in my world. In my world, you get bit, and your whole body changes, like something else takes over, and it's wild and violent. You don't even remember it. On the upside, it's only three nights a month. I dated a guy who was a werewolf at home - it was really hard on him.
[Wolfwalking might be a nightly occurrence, but at least she still maintains her sense of self.]
I still got bitten - it was back in the dream. Right before I came here, you know. The first time. But I change every night - whenever I go to sleep, or if I get knocked out. It's pretty much what you saw when I stayed here. My body stays asleep, and I turn into a wolf. I'm still me, though, and I remember everything when I wake up. So I guess it's kind of the opposite of what happens at home. Instead of something else taking over my body, I leave my body and take a different form.

I follow. It's the same soul in a different shape... the soul projected outside the body. Or a part of the soul, maybe. We can plan to take a closer look.
If you don't mind my asking, though, [ and here he leans over his hands with the gravity of a school principal, ] how did the biting situation come about? If it's just you in fur, no difference past the paws... where's the risk?
[ Where did it go wrong? ]

Well... I don't think it's really related to the wolfwalking thing. I think it's more because of what happened with Maul. Like I said, I've been, um. Jumpier. The first person I bit was Maul's brother. He cornered me in an alley, and I didn't recognize him right away. They look kind of alike, and I don't see the same colours and stuff as a wolf.
[She shifts uncomfortably, and shrugs a little.]
Combined with the whole... Palebloods seeing mushrooms everywhere thing...

Understandable. It hasn't been an easy month... and from the sound of things, that's part of a cycle. Better to tackle the problem now than to let it sit.
We'll see what we can come up with.
