Oh, yes. [ she purses her lips and tugs her brows down and very, very clearly shows that she's being playful. ] I want to be flown around the world and given pretty things like jewels.

[ never mind that wanda can fly around the world and gift things to herself. ]

( he makes a face and shakes his head at her. )

That doesn't sound boring and vapid and empty to you?

It does.

[ incredibly so. in comparison to what she has experienced over the years, she's had excitement and despair and everything in between with nothing skirting on boring. even being in the trench has been far from those three adjectives. ]

But I don't think I have ever done anything that has been boring and vapid and empty before. [ she shrugs and smiles. ] I think it would be nice.

I think you can be more than just a pretty face.

( that's his story and he's sticking to it. )

[ she smiles at him. he does expect teasing, no? wanda has never thought much of her future. he speaks of her in ways no one else has except for vision and pietro, and it makes her feel very uncomfortably seen.

hence... she flutters her eyelashes and smears some of that blood on her face purposefully. ]

[ yes, she laughs at her own joke. ]

( he looks over at her and then looks again when he notices the blood. he shakes his head and the points at the blood on her face. )

Except for that big mess you've made.

[ she lifts her brow in a feigned look of surprise. ]

Where? Here?

[ and, of course, when wanda slides her hand against her face, she smears blood from the corner of her eye to her ear. ]

Are you trying to make a bigger mess?

( because that's damn sure what it seems like. )

Or is this some secret kink that I didn't know about?

[ wanda smiles and cocks her brow softly. ] I have many kinks you don't know about.

[ she may seem like an open book, but sometimes this witch's spells are under lock and key. she does make a genuine attempt to wipe at her face with the back of her hand, only partially being successful in cleaning it off. wanda smears blood to her ear. ]

But blood is not one of them.

Blood's a weird kink to have anyway.

( he can see the allure sometimes but in most instances, blood's happening because someone has a gaping wound somewhere. )

You don't need to go rubbing it all over your face.

[ she laughs, feigning offence. she wipes the heel of her palm against her face. ]

It's absolutely all over you. If I didn't know any better, I think you'd just murdered someone.

( in the messiest way possible. )

The only way you're gonna get that all off is a shower.

I can't go and leave for a shower now. There are blood blisters everywhere.

[ she looks around at them bleeding and oozing. a little bit of blood isn't going to deter wanda. if anything, it feels right. she's not used to being overly clean in a fight. ]

Leaving would make me very vapid. [ she teases, ] And the blisters are waiting to get all over your face.

[ and amos doesn't think she's vapid at all. ]

You don't need to go around popping these things. All they do is get blood everywhere. They're not doing anything else.

( so maybe she could leave to take a shower. )

I think you can afford to leave and get cleaned up.

And then get bloody again?

[ she shakes her head, glancing around. that's not what heroes do—not that wanda is one. she doesn't want to go shower when she can help others.

wanda regards him with a cocked brow. ]

Will you go shower? You have blood [ she waves her hand over her face. ] on your cheek.

Probably. But I'm not as filthy as you are.

( she needs the shower more than he does. )

These blood things are still gonna be here when you come back if you really wanna get messy again.

[ wanda thinks to ask him what the point of showering is, but she regards him for a long moment before she crosses her arms against her chest and narrows her eyes playfully. ]

You're trying to get rid of me. Why? To have all the blood blisters to yourself?

[ tsk, tsk, amos. that's hardly gentlemanly. ]

No. Why would I want these things to myself, Wanda?

( amos makes a face and shakes his head. he's trying to be nice. )

Do you want me to walk with you? I just want you to get cleaned up so you're not completely covered in blood.

[ she thinks to tease him again, but wanda drops it. she tilts her head gently to the side. ]

Does it bother you so much?

[ honestly, it doesn't bother her. it doesn't sting. it feels tacky and thick, but nothing more than that. but wanda's had soot in her hair and in her eyes before. a little blood smeared on her face is nothing. ]

What, the blood? No, it doesn't bother me.

( he's been covered in blood enough times to barely blink. it just looks...strange on her when he's never seen look like that before. )

I just don't think you need to walk around like you've bathed in blood.

[ wanda shrugs. ]

When they are gone, then it will be gone from my face.

[ but just for him, her hand glows and she waves it in front of her face. it acts as a face cloth; when her hand completes its arc, her face is clean. ]

You're stubborn as hell.

( does she know that? well, amos is gonna tell her. )

And your magic's cheating.

[ wanda smiles toothily at that—and happily so. ]

You said that before.

[ she doesn't appear offended at all. ]

But is it cheating if I do magic for you, too? I think it's incredibly generous. Like giving a gift.

It's still cheating, it's just cheating that benefits me.

( which he does appreciate. )

But still cheating.

[ she nods, pursing her lips as she considers his response. but then wanda lifts her hand and points her finger and furrows her brows. ]

But is it bad cheating when it benefits you? I just want to understand the levels of cheating.

[ so she can, you know, cheat. ]
