( It's strange and almost terrifying that a power that they used to rely on so much could have such a dangerous consequence. But, if it's possible to readapt it into a way that they can use it freely again -- it's something worth looking into. )

[They smile. There's a trace of affection to it.]

I assumed you would. [They consider. If Frisk is on board, that means they should probably put the cards on the table.] There's a few others I'll ask for assistance. I'm hardly an expert on blood magic, and there's others who have been studying it for a fair bit longer than I have. On top of that... I know of someone who has the power to stop time, and two people experienced with living in timeloops like us.

( With the way that Chara words that, they can't help but wonder if Chara means that the person that they're speaking of have a power that's similar, yet different in a way as well. )

... Who?

( Thy have someone in mind, as well -- though, it'd be more accurate to say that the person they're thinking of is familiar with timelines rather than someone who has been the cause of different timelines occurring. )

First I want to see if you've already figured it out.

[They look at Frisk with a hint of a challenge to their smile. It's not aggressive or sinister, more playful than anything else.]

( Frisk stops for a moment, looking thoughtful. Who do the both of them know...? )

( Ahiru did mention Chara -- but, Frisk has a feeling that it isn't her. )

Not quite. Her abilities take a different form.

[They hum. Frisk is their partner, first and foremost. It's only fair.]

Satoko Hojo. And Rika Furude. Granted, the second one's just a guess.

( Frisk pauses, eyebrows raising in surprise. They'd only just met Satoko once, and it had been briefly. The extent of their interaction was Frisk watching her do card tricks. )

How did you find out?

( It feels... strange to know that there are people with similar powers here. It feels comforting, in a way -- as though someone else besides Chara and themself understands. )

I witnessed her using her powers. You probably felt it too.

Satoko mentioned that there was another in her world that travelled through loops with her, and based on a rather odd encounter I had with Miss Furude in a hotel that she was then eager to pretend never happened, I can only make my own conclusions.

Something did feel familiar -- just a little bit.

( Frisk wonders if Chara had told her about the both of them having the same abilities... But, they trust that it would be something their partner would tell them about. )

She might think that there's a reason to hide her powers.

Considering I'm hiding my own powers, I can't say I blame her.

[They hum. And, as if sensing Frisk's own worries...] I told Satoko that I had the same power. She doesn't know that you share it as well. That can remain true going forward if you desire.

[It'll make her difficult to work with, but Chara is fine with keeping secrets.]

No, it's okay. ( There's little hesitation in Frisk's answer. )

I want to help. Maybe it can help her if she's trying to do the same thing we are.

I don't know her long term intentions. I wouldn't count on her to assist us when the stakes are too high, but she's definitely got a vested interest in experimenting with our powers.

Darkblood is tied with time, something that is extremely powerful on it's own. Her powers, and our powers, they are the most powerful variants of human magic in both of our worlds. It seems only reasonable that we join forces.

It's okay if she doesn't. We've gotten through a lot together so far. ( Chara and Frisk have been a team for what feels like a long time, in a sense. They have faith in the both of them. ) And -- uhm - it'll be nice to talk to someone else who knows what using powers like that is like.

What else do you think we'll be able to do?

I was thinking we could bring people or items back with us when we RESET. Or perhaps create multiple different paths for the future and have them all occur in a fixed space at the same time.

Say... if I stabbed you in the shoulder, or in the stomach, or in the forehead. I could reset and do all of these things, and possibly have it so that as far as this world is concerned, all three of those happened at once. [They shrug.] And that's just time. Darkblood has a lot of interesting properties.

( What an example... But, it's one that gets the message across. Frisk wonders if... they might be able to find some way back home if they practice using their abilities enough. But, that would mean potentially saying good bye to their Partner, too. )

It sounds stronger than DETERMINATION.

If we can go forward in time too, we can protect each other better.
