But it's all a hypothetical. Nothing that happens outside the game means a damn thing. It's just a happy lie to satisfy the anomaly.]
It's not a foolish question.
I don't know the answer exactly. I assume I'd cease to exist. [They shrug.

They contemplate it for a few seconds more: a being made to serve a single purpose, with no existence outside of it. The idea makes them think of Cephalons in their own universe or perhaps the Sentients before they had rebelled. But the Guide is not a machine nor a construct of light. The Operator glances at them again, gaze searching. ]

They shrug. It's not as if they're particularly inclined to share that.]

At the question, the Operator can't help a small smile from appearing on their face. It's the first time since they arrived here that someone has asked about their identity in a way they feel comfortable answering. ]
I am the Operator, the will that moves the Warframes—though, only a few people know me by that name. [ Really, it's only Ordis and the Lotus. And now, the Guide. To the Operator's mind, it is the truest description of their role, the most exact and impartial name for what they are—which is precisely why most don't know of it. ] Others call me the Dreamer. Or the Betrayer.
[ They shrug. If any of those names bother them, they don't show it. ]
I suppose they all make sense, in their own way.
