I imagine someone would love a shower right now...

I've got sand in places I didn't know sand could go. It's... kind of uncomfortable.
[He scrunched his nose as she got him closer to the edge of the pit... pond... pool... what ever an area of quicksand was called. Once close enough, he reached out to grab her hand instead of the stick.]

Eventually, she flopped backwards, panting, only after he was more than halfway out, in a position to finish pulling himself out of the ground, laughing softly.]
I haaaate the Moss King so much, do you know that?

[He was exhausted, honestly, but finally able to pull himself the rest of the way from the sand, flopping next to her on his back and staring up at the leaves above them as he worked on catching his breath.]
I really don't like quicksand, either. [He winced a bit, trying to shift gingerly to alleviate the itchy gritty sensation from the sand without gouging it into his skin. Yeah... he wanted that to go away.]

[She closed her eyes and sighed, groaning some while her head was leaned back and she just tried to relax. Mind you, it always came with the realization they'd be rolling again soon, but she was going to push that aside.]
At least you're safe for now. It could always be worse.
[Stop saying that.]

[Honestly, he always thought it was the "can't be worse" phrase one had to avoid...]
Probably shouldn't stay like this for too long, though.
[He grunted, and then groaned a little as he forced himself to get moving. He was tired, and sore, and filled with sand in all sorts of awkward places, but laying here on the ground wasn't going to finish the stupid game and get them out of here. And, if anything, it was only going to make them sitting ducks for any large predators.]

We can get out of this stuff, to a safe spot, and make another roll, if you want. We're not far, I don't think, from the end of the board.
(OOC: We can do another event or let them wrap with the next roll. Your call. I'll be doing new stuff later this week.)

{OOC: Finishing it up sounds good. I can tag into the newer stuff. :)}

[She sat down once there was a good sized stump that they could use, opening the board and rolling the dice. His roll had brought the quicksand, so it was her turn, after all. Her piece moved across the remaining spaces, coming to the end as the sounds of a helicopter could just barely be heard. They were almost at the finale of this, and the relief showed in her face.]
I think that's the escape route. Let's get out of here before the game thinks twice!
no subject
[He followed her, keeping an eye out for anything that looked like it might dash their hopes for getting out of there as he ran along, but the helicopter came into view first.]
Let's go! [He moved quickly, giving her a hand to get in if she needed it.]

Ngh... it's finally over. We're free of this idiotic game. At least for now.
(OOC: This seems like a good wrap up point if you like. Good scene. I'm sure we'll have plenty of chances in May or June, wherever you like.)

[Keith sighed in relief. He leaned back against the wall of the chopper, not caring if Vira-Lorr leaned on him in turn. It was nice just to know that they were done and on their way out...]
{OOC: Sounds good to me! :D}
