OTA

Who: Robyn and you!
What: Exploring
When: September
Where: All over the Trench

Content Warnings: Mentions of the graveyard, a child's body in the River of Regret

[Exploring]

[In her wolf form, Robyn can be found all around the Trench. The style of the place matches her world more than Deerington did, but the place is... a lot gloomier. And more dangerous. She can smell death around every corner, and it turns her stomach.

She can be found running through alleyways, by buildings, occasionally stopping to look into shop windows. Eventually her exploration takes her to the graveyard, where she sees caskets in cages.]

W-what's the reason for the cages?

[She says to no one in particular. She's not expecting anyone else to be out at a graveyard at this hour, and if they are... they're met with Robyn's startled growling.]

[River of Regret]

[By complete accident, she finds herself in a small canoe with another Sleeper - still as a wolf. The sight of corpses is startling and horrifying, and she tries to look away - but one small body catches her attention.]

Mebh!

[Her whole body feels like it's in shock, seeing her best friend and sister strung up with wire, looking so pale and bloody. She climbs to the front of the boat, looking like she's going to jump off.]

Mebh! Mebh! I'm coming!

[Willow has figured out a few things so far about the changes that overtake her when she sleeps - she remembers the accident in the Edge, but it took considerable effort to recall it as something more than just part of a dream. At the time, it seemed like such a little thing, and she had other things on her mind. She's figured out that the key to it is sleep - it doesn't seem to be tied to any sort of cycle of the moon, or any other sort of trigger.

It's not completely without its disadvantages, though. Sure, she can't see colour as well, but there still seems to be more clarity to her vision, especially at night, and she's never heard or smelled everything so strongly before.

Smelling everything is not always a good thing.

It still scares her too, though. Lycanthropy is a curse in her world, and she was close to a werewolf there, but his experiences were far different from this - until he figured out how to control it, when he changed, he turned into a violent beast, with no memory of his behaviour. He had described it as him being completely gone, and the wolf being in control. She still feels like herself, but she can't help worrying about that slipping away.

She desperately does not want to hurt any of the people she cares about.

She's not entirely sure what's led her to the graveyard tonight - it's not a typical place for her to explore. It's dark and creepy, and the smell of decay immediately sets her on edge.

She startles as Robyn does, and returns the growl with one of her own, but it passes quickly, and is replaced with a look of alarm.

She doesn't recognize her as the girl on the beach, or the girl she talked to only in passing in Deerington, but the wolf that brought about her current condition is entirely familiar.]
