[Just a little bit more up to check on that light, and then maybe he can go home. This was a dumb little excursion, anyway.]

[It wouldn't be his first time being in another dimension. Even if it was, Oz is the type to roll with the punches. He has a cheery step to his walk as he leads the way down the hallway.]

Now! Where is that light again? Would it be easier to check from outside, do you suppose?

A new space...you say that so casually. Nothing phases you, huh?

[It's kind of like Rantaro, the way he just takes things so off-the-cuff. The blonde hair doesn't help.

[He follows after Oz, down the hallway. It's...definitely eerie. It's the type of place Kaito would absolutely hate. Kokichi, however, is fine. Once they find a staircase down and out, he pushes the door open, and...

The beach is empty. Startlingly so.]

You may have been right on the money. Trick is to find out what's going on now...

[Oz follows after him with a skip in his step, watching the shadows out of the corner of his eyes. There's nothing he can do to reverse their circumstances, after all.

As they exit the building, Oz hums cheerily.]

Oooh, empty~! Definitely another dimension or something, then. The beach is ne~ver this empty!

[Not just that, but there are other lighthouses now. That is too obviously strange to bother pointing out, though.]

Well. How do you suppose we'll get back? My lovely Alice will be very upset if I make her wait for dinner.

Well. There's got to be some kind of trick, right?

[There's some kind of presence here...some presence that only barely registers as a blip on Kokichi's mental radar. Hmmm.

He almost cracks wise about the Alice remark - a little on the nose, isn't it? This isn't some kind of Wonderland - but then it registers it might be a bit more of a fact than anything, considering--]

...Oh. You mean red clothes, long brown hair, laughs at scary stories, talks about fighting Chains -- that Alice? ...I can imagine she's not a person to make wait, yeah.

[He's so proud of Alice for 'making friends,' too. It's nice to hear that she's living her life here.

Smile unwavering, Oz points to one of the other lighthouses.]

The obvious thing to do would be to check out the other ones, right? Maybe there's someone there.

[He thinks. He honestly can't tell, but she seemed to take pretty well to him. Even gave him a nickname and all.]

Maybe. Let's get walking, then.

[With that, he starts heading towards one of the other lighthouses. Faintly, there's visibly a gigantic shadow trailing after him. One that is practically looming, the size of Hercules...

And he feels it. It's closing in. Closer and closer, even if it was a bit farther back before. And he freezes, because there's another in front of him. One of a girl with long hair in boots.]
