"I'm fine. The hills aren't safe. Inside is safe. Inside is away from the butterflies. And..." She reached up her hands, looking at the cracks and fissures as if confused by their presence, legitimately unsure what she was looking at.

"When... did this happen? This isn't good. This isn't good. That can't be what's underneath. that's not right. No nonononono!" She gripped her forehead, hissing and shaking her head. Something wasn't right, and she looked terrified.

"Sure, sure, I don't mind staying inside! We'll just settle down and talk, OK? That way we can have a better idea about what we want to do."

Oh. Oh no. Vira hadn't known about the blood, had she? But she certainly appeared to know it was not a good thing, because she was freaking out like no one's business.

"Vira, one thing at a time, ok? Take a breath. So what does this mean, the blood?"

[onerthes]

"I... I'm not injured. I barely feel pain. The skin's just cracked and bleeding. Why is it cracked and bleeding? Gods, why is it black underneath? It looks almost like..." And she shuddered, reaching up to grip her forehead. As she did, it was obvious that there were talons there, right at the fingertips.

"We... We should get inside. I have to fix this, if I'm going to protect her. Protect you..." And she started to storm towards her house, looking determined.

"That's not a good thing, is it? And why does your blood look like that? Vira, are you sure that you shouldn't take a step back for a moment. This might be a lot bigger than any of us are prepared for. Minako included."

In other words, please don't imprison your girlfriend.

"I can try and shoo the butterflies away! Maybe get them to move to another area where they can be better dealt with?"

She'd been about to say something about the fact that her blood just looked like this now that she was a vileblood, but it was the last thing that made her hiss. She grabbed for Luz's arm, and thankfully the blood wasn't on that palm. She was thinking about that. Pulling on her, she yanked on the front door and tried to cram her in.

"No! You can't go near them! Neither of you!" she hissed, her whole body quivering. "They're too dangerous!"

"Hey!"

Ok, that was pretty forceful and very unlike Vira (unless the monster was directly attacking them). In this case, this was very much not like how her friend would normally act.

"I'll be fine!" Luz protested. "Don't shove me in your house...today!"

Look, after Vira recovered from whatever the heck this was, she wanted to talk and have tea and everything again. Right now this was just all getting out of control.

She did let go of her friend's arm, a grunt coming to her as she folded her arms. "If you'll be fine, then... get inside somewhere. Away from the butterflies. It doesn't need to be my house, but it can be anywhere." There was a momentary pause and she glanced over her shoulder before the grumbling got worse.

"I need to check on something. Can... can you come back?" She looked like she was thinking about something important, like it couldn't wait, glancing back towards the kitchen.

(OOC: If Luz comes back later, this allows us to play out a single conclusion to events, which probably makes sense.)

Oops. Looks like they were going to have to finish this later. Luz didn't love the idea of leaving Vira Lorr in this state, but she wasn't trying to make her more frantic. Maybe this would blow over once these dumb butterflies went away?

Additionally, Luz wanted to make sure the butterflies weren't affecting anyone else she might know.

"No, I'll definitely be back. I think leaving you guys alone too long would probably be a bad idea, for a lot of reasons."
