"Thank you, for helping me," she said, flexing her fingers. "I may try and find some of the lights myself, though I don't know that this is the best use of my talents. I could focus on getting people to avoid the butterflies, while you work on the acquisition of the lights so that we can see to their healing. They're not threatening, otherwise, so there's that."

Which was all well and good to say right now, but when she was at her most paranoid, she might sing another tune.

Keith nodded.

"Yeah, sure." He considered the idea for a moment. "I mean, it certainly would be better to work as a team. That way, if one person gets caught up in the thrall, the other could drag them out."

[onerthes]

"Yes. That actually seems like a good plan. What we can do is set up a buddy system. If either of us start to show signs of being affected, it can be an occasion for the other to call them back. We have the treatment here." And that was actually a really good option, tag-teaming together. That sort of thing, along with a few other friends? It would have her see-sawing back and forth but never quite losing it...

You know... till she ended up shooting one of the bugs later in the month.

[tempredmental]

Keith nodded.

"Right... always make sure to have someone with you if you're going after them."

Which he planned on doing for the rest of the month as well, but he had ideas on how to handle it now. (Not that it would stop him 100% from going after some of them alone...) He handed her some of his empty jars, too.

"Here... in case you come across some orbs you can catch."

[onerthes]

She took two of them and nodded with a wan smile. "Thank you. I'll see about catching some of the light, so that it can be given to others. That might help them in a time of need." And, in truth? It would, though she really needed to use it more on herself in the process than she ultimately would.

"Just stay safe, ok Keith? I worry... and I don't think that's the hopelessness talking. The danger is easy to underestimate in this."

[tempredmental]

Keith nodded. She hadn't been the only one to pull him out of it.

"You, too." Honestly, just seeing the change right there when she'd absorbed that one light from the jar was enough. She'd always been kind to him, at least, and offered him information any time he'd asked. He didn't know everything about their previous relationship beyond that they had at least been friends, and that was enough for now. He knew he could count her among his friends, which automatically meant he was going to worry about her, too. "Be careful."
