Right.. right, you said. Learning anything good today? Seeing as we got bit by the same bug.
[And he was never top of his class]
no subject
[You don't have to look so goddamn pleased mister!]
Not really. Some specifics about the best materials to make weapons out of, if you want to integrate your powers with them. I'm not really planning on becoming a blacksmith any time soon, but it's good to know what to ask for down in Willful Machine.
no subject
I'd be a blacksmith.
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow. It's not really skeptical or surprised but just... curious.]
I can grab that book for you.

I love stuff like this. Smithing, making.. heavy industry. I've been working on trying to focus all this new power into a single point.
[Raising his pointer finger for emphasis but also he does literally mean his finger.]
Heat and electricity together mean I could weld stuff without the machine.

[He glances at what Eames is doing again.]
Less dangerous than hunting, in any case.
no subject
I don't think hunting is really in my cards. I hung up those boots in Deerington and it feels good.
no subject
At this point it feels like the only thing I know how to do.
[Sigh.]
I'm sure you could find some blacksmith work in town, though. At least see if you like it.
no subject
You're pretty good at accounting too.
[ he is not being helpful ]
no subject
Is that so?
no subject
Vampire hunting didn't always pay the bills back home.
no subject
I could see that for you.
Do you think accounting is even a thing here? How do you assign value to rocks and shells?
no subject
It isn't a skill anyone needs until you have tax laws too convoluted for the layman to understand. I'm happy to leave that behind in London.
no subject
[A solemn nod. Fuck the man.]
Well I guess there's always the other kind of accountant.
no subject
What?
[Explain your memes Raleigh.]
no subject
You never heard that one?
no subject
No? What do you mean?
no subject
When you're a stripper and you don't want anyone to question your money you say you're an accountant.
no subject
He'd be a terrible stripper.
no subject
[Not that he'd ever want to be a stripper but like come on. He's speechless he hates this.]
no subject
[Raleigh decides to take the opposite argument with a grin and glances at Arthur, wiggling his brows for emphasis.]
Sure he's short but he's coordinated and that's what heels are for, anyway.
no subject
You haven't seen him dance.
no subject
[He shakes his head. He will not take this!!!]
You almost done with that beer, Raleigh?
no subject
[He snickers and downs the rest of his bottle before giving a very loud, refreshed ahhhh~
The prefect exit, actually. He stands, leaves the bottle and raps his knuckles on the table a few times in farewell.]
That's my cue, fellas. Enjoy your chook.
