[ the spider queen disintegrates into a nasty aura, incinerated by holy fire and put down for the better— once her remains hit the ground, though, they begin to bloom, beautifully, into a spiraling array of flowers. her death gives life. the evil in her has been purified.

what remained now was the wolf, who shakes herself, walks up to kaneki— and wags her tail, despite all these menacing tendrils. that was quite the show, young man. ]

[anthropophagite]

[ kaneki watches, a bit in awe--

and then he realizes the wolf is coming closer. Ah, a puppy...

But he is quick to make those tendrils go away, turning them into dust and eventually they disappear. He no longer needs them, thus there is no point in keeping them out ] Thank you for helping me.

[ amaterasu pads around in a little circle before she throws her head up. no, thank you for the hand, boy. or many not-hands, hands?

—oh, she can see that look. puppy. yes. would you like to pet her, this big puppy? the she-wolf hastens her panting as if she was about to speak, but since she can't exactly speak . . . a closer approach would do, right within touching range! ]

[ oh, she is closer. And thus Kaneki ends up offering his hand to her.
