[ tommy's mouth falls open as he nods. his tight grip on billy seems to falter; billy slips out of his arms like water and brushes his fingers through his hair. ]

I don't think I know a Luca. But that's okay! Right, Billy? [ he elbows billy in the side. ]

Yeah! [ billy smiles lopsidedly and rubs his side absently. ] I mean... we don't really get to see a lot of other people, but sometimes we do. And we can definitely keep an eye out for him for you.

[ tommy and billy look at one another and nod. ]

Yeah! Only if you want, you know. It's no problem.

I'd appreciate that. He's younger and he has an older sister but I know she might not always be there so if he had some friends....

( stefan trails off and then takes a slow, slow breath to keep his emotions in check. he nods. )

( and luca could probably use some friends his age. )

[explosion]

[ tommy stands a little taller and puffs out his chest as he smiles. ] He'd like me the most.

[ billy scrunches up his face as if he's tasted a lemon. ] No he wouldn't!

[ tommy and billy wrestle with billy's hair standing up on all ends while tommy's begins to spark with blue kinetic energy.

wanda, with her hands clasped in front of her, chuckles and smiles. shaking her head, she sighs quietly. ]

Tommy can run very, very fast, like my brother. And Billy... he's a little more sensitive like me. [ she smiles fondly at her boys as they collapse with a thud on the ground and disappear from view. ] I hope you don't mind your son having those kinds of friends.

No. I would just...like my son to have friends period.

( it's hard to know what his life is like since he doesn't get a chance to be around him all the time. he doesn't even know how this might work but he hopes that tommy and billy find him. )

They seem really protective of you.

[explosion]

Oh, they're... [ wanda doesn't particularly want to say that they're not. her smile is wider now. she can't tear her gaze away from her boys as they rise from the floor and brush off their scuffle while standing all too close.

she does like the fact that they're protective of her. it's how she was with her mother.

with his hair skewed, tommy brushes his hands against his cheeks before standing taller. he grins widely. ] Want to see a trick? I can show this to Luca. It's totally safe.

[ billy rolls his eyes. ]

If it's totally safe...

( stefan's willing to indulge them at least. he smiles, nods. )

Show me, let's see it and then I'll see if it's something I want you to teach Luca.

[explosion]

[ tommy smiles, excited. he looks at wanda and widens his eyes and presses his hands together in a silent prayer. billy joins him, mouthing please, please, please.

wanda lifts her brows and regards them for a long moment before she nods. ] All right. But as long as it's safe.

It is! It is! [ tommy pushes past billy to disappear out of frame. he doesn't stay gone for too long. appearing at the other side of the room, he rubs his hands together as he smiles widely. billy stays within frame, his back to stefan and wanda. ] Watch! Make sure they're watching!

[ within seconds, he disappears in a blur of blue. it swims in front of them, wrapping around and around around the room. at first, wanda can't see the trick for what it is, but then tommy runs up the side of the portal with little effort and somersaults back into place. ]

Wow, that's impressive.

( and probably not something that luca could do but he'd try it. if nothing else, he'd like watching. )

How'd you learn how to do that?

[explosion]

[ tommy beams brightly. ] Well, I've been practicing!

[ billy, with a more mature air than his age, regards stefan with a very sober look. ] He can run at super speed.

[ tommy appears unimpressed by billy. he nudges him with his below. ]

Tommy can run very, very fast. [ she smiles at stefan before looking at tommy and planting her hands on her hips. ] But last time I saw him, he wasn't climbing the walls.

[ he appears sheepish. ] Sorry, Mom.

I don't know if Luca's really going to be able to do anything like that. He can't run very fast like that. He'd probably like to watch though.

( he would love to watch and he'd absolutely try to do what tommy did. boys would be boys but stefan hopes luca doesn't get hurt too often. )

But that's pretty cool that you guys can do that.

[explosion]

[ when tommy elbows billy this time, it's hard. ] He can't run very fast. [ and he smugly crosses his arms against his chest.

billy, to his credit, appears a touch sheepish. ] I can't, but... I can do other things.

Billy's rather... sensitive. [ wanda briefly furrows her brows as she realises she hasn't quite figured out billy's capabilities yet. he's a telepath, like her. he's sensitive, like her. ] While he can't run up walls and somersault, he can read minds. He can pick up on things that others can't. He's very in tune to the world around him.

Read minds. That must get...busy.

( considering there was a lot going on in the minds of people, he doesn't know if he'd want to be someone who could do that. he doesn't want to know what other people think. )

I don't know if I'd be able to handle that kind of thing.

[explosion]

I used to think it was like learning how to juggle, but…

[ she releases a breath. telepathy is more than that. it is the whole circus. it's managing the tigers and elephants while walking along a tightrope. ]

I am always conscious of where the ball is and how I grip it in my hand. It's not something I think you ever get used to.

[ tommy smiles brightly, bouncing on the balls of his feet. ] I can juggle! Want to see?
