Hello everyone!!
I'm a pretty new resident to Trench, maybe here about a month now, I think, and I'm still a little confused about the lack of money thing... It's pretty hard for someone like me who's not used to trading to get things, e-especially since I really don't have much to give.
Anyway, I want to know if there's anywhere to get some decent fabric? Or maybe even some yarn!! I'd like to make something for a friend's birthday next week, but I really don't know where to get the things I need, or how. I'd prefer not to give away any of my blood if I don't have to... And unfortunately I don't have the time to devote to working it off, if I want to get it to him on time...
So I guess, if anyone has any spare? I can get you something in return after the 20th, or work for it!! I'm really good at lifting and moving! ♥♥
Thank you! (´。• ω •。`)♡

Deku-kun, Todoroki-kun, I don't know if you encountered those weird portals that were popping up, but...I found a few things from home that I thought to give to you guys. You can come over to my and Bakugou's place to pick them up if you want!!
And we can have dinner together, too!! (b ᵔ▽ᵔ)b I'll be sure to let Bakugou know so he doesn't slam the door in your face or something, lol. Maybe not tonight, since you can probably see I'll be a little busy, but maybe tomorrow or something?? Or if you wanna have a dinner together to celebrate Bakugou's birthday?
I don't think he'd enjoy a party, so just an hour or two to eat and hang out would probably make him really happy within his comfort zone. ♥
[ACTION - CLOSED TO BAKUGOU]
[After dealing with those who responded to her message on the Omni, Ochako puts it away in favor of actually looking for her blond friend. He's been a bit absent the past few weeks, and definitely a little...off. Ochako wrote it off as more of this world's bullshit - the past month was hell for them in a variety of different ways - but as the days kept passing, it seemed to get worse. She doesn't want to pry much, Bakugou's not the talkative sort like she is, but she's a little worried. It doesn't feel great just seeing him when they need to eat and sleep... She misses her friend, and spending time with him and talking to him.
So she's quietly puttering around their apartment, looking for signs that her friend is around. He should be, his shoes are here, and this place isn't exactly large, but...hopefully he's not just here to grab something and go again. That has also been a thing he's been doing, too. And becoming a bit of an annoyance to Ochako as well.]
Bakugou-kun? Are you here?

...she's a really kind-hearted kind of person, isn't she. ]
Ehh? [ He blinks slightly at that, before smiling wide. Warm and breezy. ] Putting that much thought into it --
It's really kind of you. [ She's a good friend. ] I'm glad he has you here with him.
I've been here since November, so I don't know if it ever really is something you just get used to... but it does get a little less strange, thinking about blood as currency. Although a friend of mine can use a technique with ice to make it easier to collect and less... messy, so something like that can help. [ Even if it is still kind of gross... ]
Don't worry. I'm sure this is something you can manage.
[ She seems the determined type, already doing all this work just for a blanket for her friend. ]
no subject
Ah...eh--! I-It's really nothing...I-I just want him to be happy, that's all. [Her face is slowly but surely turning a brighter and brighter pink by the second.] He's the type of person that's usually kind of grumpy a lot, but deep down he's amazing...and a really great friend. I'm really, um...r-really glad he's here, too. All my friends, the ones that I got to see again, too.
[But Ochako would be lying if she said that waking up on the beach without Bakugou didn't put her into a wild panic. They were all the other had in Nippon, an anchor and sense of nostalgic, a sense of home. They got close, and relied on and supported each other when it mattered most. Having the rug pulled out from under them, when they were told that disappearing meant going home, not to a totally different world entirely, was really fucking scary.]
Mm, it's definitely really bizarre, and I try to have things available to trade, or just work it off myself, but right now I don't have the luxury of time... Maybe after, or if I have any excess fabric or thread. I can make things to trade. But you're right, I've sort of done something like this before, so I'll be okay. It'll just take a little bit...
Though now I have way more people to pick me up if I need it, too. [Just two from Musutafu, but hey, that's two more than what she had in Nippon.] Thank you, Allen-san, you're very kind yourself.

Ah? [ He's smiling, waving it off good-naturedly himself. ] No, it's no trouble. But he's someone you knew before? [ He sounds a little surprised by that. ] Several of your friends?
Aaa, that's so nice. I'm so glad for all of you. [ He really does light up at that, genuinely glad for her sake -- all their sakes -- in a quiet and understated way. ] Even having to start a new life so far away from what we remember, it's so much better to be able to do that with people that are familiar to us.
It can be so lonely otherwise.
[ It's something he knows all... all too painfully well otherwise. But he doesn't let it show through that smile; it's kept locked up somewhere deeper. He's long used to doing that.
That's just how his life has always been. ]
Although, miss... I'm sorry, I'm afraid I didn't catch your name?
no subject
[There are also the villains, but she's uh...not going to count them, cough. Dabi and Shigaraki are most definitely not her friends in any way, shape, or form.]
Mm, I agree...it's good to see them again. Me and B--eh...I-I mean, um. My friend. We were in a different world before this one, just us, for a long time. Seeing the other two after that, and vice versa...it's nice. I really missed them a lot, and I know they probably missed us, too. Cuz yeah, e-even with...eh, him. [Ochako's not naming names, even if this is locked. She doesn't trust it.] It was still kinda sad not seeing my other friends, especially the girls, ehehe... I can't exactly talk about certain things with a boy.
Ah...I-I still can't, actually. [Because. ALL BOYS. Ahem!!] Oh, right--sorry!! It's Uraraka. My name is Uraraka Ochako.
[And yes, she is going to dip forward just enough in the camera to simulate a little bow. Manners are important!]
1/2
Ouch. ]
... you already mentioned his name, you know. It's alright. [ Just... gonna put that out there. She looks so nervous for some reason about it. ] If it's supposed to be a secret, I won't tell anyone.
And it's okay, um... [ slightly. embarrassed. ] I can understand what you're saying a little. I think. I hope you get to see the rest of your friends again. [ for... girl talk? /nervous ]
It's good that you have each other for now.
2/2
It's nice to meet you though, miss Uraraka. Despite the misunderstanding.
[ the last bit is a teeny bit cheeky. if you squint. ]
no subject
Eh, I-I did?! Ah--...that's right. I did. [Heck.]Thanks, but also, um... Pl-Please don't talk about this to anyone! I don't know who he does and doesn't know here...and he'd probably get mad if he knew I was making such a fuss over him, ehehe...
[As for the "girl talk" comment, Ochako just nods and waves her hand. Yeah, she'd really like to have someone like Momo or especially Tsuyu here. She's no where near the level of excitable gossip as Mina and Hagakure, but sometimes she does want to talk about girly things like make up, clothes, and shopping!! Sue her!]
It's very nice to meet you too, Allen-san. I-I'm really sorry about that, I didn't expect anyone else to have the exact same username like that. Oh, and of course for the offer to help! I appreciate that very much, too. If you ever need anything in return, I can try to help, to pay you back for being so nice.
no subject
He raises a hand, gently waving off her concern. ] I won't, don't worry about it. It's a secret.
[ But wow. Wow!! That's so mean to lump him and his interests in with all boys as a whole. Sexism!! He'll have you know he's an absolute Pro with makeup because of growing up being a street-performer and does the best falsies. And Lenalee and Miranda would ask him to join them for tea parties and didn't mind that he was a boy! ... although admittedly they bribed him to with pastries... But he'll have you know he's very fond of flowers! Give him a few weeks to the May festivals and he'll have a flower crown on Shouto in no time. Boys can be cool shounen badasses and still like stuff like that!
...but no... yeah it's for the best. He'd still be awkward x10000. He hopes you get more actual girl friends soon, Ochako. ]
But ah, no, don't worry about it! You don't have to pay me back. [ Smiling and waving his hands. ]
If you ever need any help in trying to get your feet here, please don't hesitate to ask. It's better if everyone tries to help each other out. [ A pause. Taps at his cheek. ] Although... ... maybe confirm which one of us it is first... just in case...
no subject
But the thing is, her experience with boys who actually enjoy that kind of thing...it's not all that high. Most of her male classmates are the rough and rowdy type, or the stoic ones. Or nerds, like Deku and Iida.]
Oh, have you been here a long time too, then? I'm actually still getting used to there being no currency here, really... I like to think I'm good at bargaining, and finding deals, but trading things is way harder, um...wh-when you don't have much to begin with, y'know? [Ochako balks a bit at the call out, ducking her head and sinking into her shoulders with a blush.] Eh...r-right...yeah. I will. Um...n-next time.
1/2
I've been here since... November I think? Late October? It gets better as you get used to things. [ But his expression softens when she says that. "When you don't have much to begin with." ]
2/2
It's okay though. I can understand that. [ He really does... Way better than she can probably even imagine, and without having anything to do with the Trench. That's the case when you've been a starving orphan and a vagabond without a home for almost your entire life.
-- also his master's debts. ]
Why don't you tell me the next time you're heading to one of the markets? After your friend's birthday.
I can help show you a few tricks.
no subject
Mm, I heard it does get better with time. The world I was in before this one was like that, too, but...less dangerous, in a way. And there they had actual currency. Actually, it was...very similar to my world, just like I was shot back in time, kind of. It was a less modern version of my country.
O-Oh, but, um...Allen-san, y-you really don't have to burden yourself with something like that!! I don't want to cause you any trouble, though I really appreciate the gesture very much. You really are very kind, ehehe.
no subject
Did you say you remember being in two other, separate places before you awoke? [ That's odd. Different lives? She did dimension hopping before...? Viktor did talk about how there were other planets and people would travel between them, apparently... ]
And mm, no. It really isn't any trouble at all. [ Although he won't push it, either. She seems very secretive and cautious in general, if very friendly, and he'll respect that. ] I told you before, didn't I? It's better if everyone here helps look out for everyone else.
So I won't mind at all. [ Also, she's a good person and seems like someone he'd enjoy being around. Why would that burden him? ]
no subject
Mm, well...it was actually just the one world outside of my own. So...I was first in my world, Japan, then taken to another world because of something happening with time, where moments in time all across the multiverse were repeating again and again without end...so the world responsible for that took us in as refugees. That world was Nippon. Then I appeared here, in Trench, from Nippon.
So...two new worlds overall. Trench being the second after Nippon.

...A friend of mine who's a lot more knowledgeable about these things... he thinks we might be offshoots of ourselves. Of the people we remember ourselves to be. That that's why we're different, even our bodies, and we remember ourselves as being what seems like forever here. Even if it was just in the ocean and it feels like a dream.
[ Honestly, he's also wondered if it isn't Purgatory or something similarly bitter like that. But those thoughts are too depressing to hold onto. ]
That who we are, our personalities and the core of us -- our souls -- can be important enough somehow to transcend the world we knew, the body and species we thought we were, and the reality we accepted. That we're all part of something much larger than we ever thought we were before, and it reflected somewhere else. Here.
I wonder, hearing you say that, if that doesn't mean he's right.
no subject
[Ochako pauses, looking down at her hands a moment before looking up again, thoughtfully.] I don't feel different, and I still feel like I'm me, so...did I really change? How can someone tell if I did or if I didn't, if I still feel like I'm me?
...Eh, ah--!! B-But, that's a little too serious a conversation to be having right now, I think! Ehehe, I-I really just wanted some fabric...
[How did this delve into existentialism???]
no subject
But being someone who is human and not, who renounced his own humanity to be a living purification weapon to save others and embrace that inhuman side, host to a parasitic entity that's symbiotically part of his heart and body, he was intimately aware of physically being different but also the same. His weapon changed; he changed.
But he's still himself. Maybe more than ever, and that's why he smiles very gently at her hesitation. And only answers very simply. ]
None of that changes the fact that you're still fundamentally you, does it?
[ At the core. The soul.
How did this become existential? Because Allen Walker. Sorry, Ochako. He's too serious to be a teenager 90% of the time and literally grew up staring into the corrupted souls of the dead whether he wanted to or not. But he raises his hands up with an awkward smile at realizing the same. ]
Sorry, sorry. I'll let you go.
Good luck, okay? Have fun with your friend's birthday.
