Countdown till the surprise

Who: Minako Aino and Open [There will be two Closed Threads and one Open currently.]
What: Minako is getting things together to do something important. Also doing the thing.
When: Throughout May.
Where: Mostly the Pink House but also around Cellar Door

Four Hours - Open
Minako's arms were crossed over her chest as she seemed deep in thought. There were still parts that she needed to get done but that wouldn't take all that long. Gathering some food that she would be unable to cook and didn't want to go to the trouble of asking a friend to cook it instead, so she planned on just buying it.

But making lists wasn't all that she was pondering over. It was something she had just recently finished that she might want someone to help her with. So as soon as she she gave herself a little nod she started to look around.

If she spotted some poor unfortunate soul she bounded on over, a skip in her step.

"Hello there may I have a moment of your time. I want to know your thoughts on a song I just wrote?"

Three Hours - Closed to Makoto and Usagi
Minako was honestly getting a little nervous about everything. But she did feel a little better with it having been at the Pink House. It also meant they got to share in the moment too, but also meant she could get help with setting a few things up outside of the place.

First job was to set up a table and chairs for two outside in the garden, but as she stepped back and looking over what she had she found herself frowning slightly. Maybe she should go find her friends and get their advice.

Minako felt herself getting even more nervous as she adjusted her dress a little bit. As much as usually she was someone who was full of confidence this was one of those times, but all she could do now was wait and hope that her friends whom she knew were nearby stayed inside until she told them to come out.

Now all she had to do was wait for her partner to come along.

Hold on, hold on! It's a little dizzying for Chizuru to be presented with two different topics like that, unsure of which to answer first.. or whether to answer both at all. It doesn't feel fair to start rambling about her dinner when the other needs her help, so..

Maybe it's better to focus on what the girl was originally asking her, she thinks.

"I think I do," she says, answering the last question. "But.. what emotion are you trying to convey?"

It's probably better for her to know that in advance. You know, so Chizuru can make sure to check the song for the right exact mood Minako is looking for!

"Romance or the feeling of love. Honestly it's a song I'm planning on singing to someone, but the future of the song is so people have feel the feeling of love, like they would feel with someone they treasure."

Basically she had plans and many were to make people feel certain emotions, but wasn't sure if she was going about it in the correct way.

But this was also not something she had ever really done before, so even basic things like lyrics and music writing she couldn't be fully confidence about either.

"As an idol, I must be certain I am doing it correct."

...

Chizuru figures that this probably is a really bad idea to mention that she has no idea what an 'idol' is, huh.

So she just discards that thought for now, instead focusing on the rest of what Minako is saying. Chizuru nods, trying to commit the thought to her head. Having to focus on a feeling of love.. She doesn't have much experience with it herself, but maybe she could at least recognize it?

"Alright..! If you show it off to me, then I'll do my best to try and see if it gives off that feeling, I promise."

It was best to not mention that... Minako could spend hours simply explaining it and if possible drawing various pictures to go along with it or something.

And right now she probably didn't have the time for that when she was doing this was a very important reason.

"Thank you. I would say take a seat but we are out in the open and there isn't much in terms of sitting, so I should just get on with it." Giving off a light chuckle she went to step a little further away before giving a throat clearing cough. She didn't want anything to go wrong after all.

Soon after she started to sing. A song with a story behind it, a story about two people from different worlds finding each other, the situations that test them and how they sill manage to find a way through them. Minako left out a part at the end and ended up in much earlier than she had planned, but she had her reason for that. But she had tried to put the feeling of love behind it. She just hoped that worked

"So... what do you think?"

It's.. a little weird. Not even in a bad way, but this isn't quite like anything that has ever happened to Chizuru before. There weren't a lot of street performers back home, and this is Minako performing it just for her judgement, right here in the middle of the street..

.. It's a little daunting, honestly. But that just makes Chizuru want to make sure to pay even better attention, clutching her hands to her chest as fists - because she's just that concentrated as she's listening to Minako's song.

Chizuru doesn't even look away from the other. She listens to the entire thing, and once Minako is done, she even puts her hands together to clap and give applause. It's kind of a weak applause, but she doesn't want to bother any of the other shoppers with it..

"Did you think all of that up by yourself..? I thought it was really creative! Um, you sing very well too.."

Or at least, Chizuru seems adequately impressed by it all.

Minako sighed, mostly out of relief. She had been awfully worried about the wording or the style she had chosen to go with for the song, but it seemed like they at least enjoyed it, which mean it was doing as she hoped.

"Yeah, using experiences I have. After all it's a job of an idol to be able to make music after all..." Helps that her blood magic is sort of connected to music to at least, so it gave her an excuse to actually write music and practicing getting that perfect

"But thank you for that, though was there anything you think I could make improvements on?"

There Minako goes again with that idol word.. Maybe one day Chizuru will figure out what it means, but right now she's still totally clueless in the face of it - and too polite to ask.

So instead she focuses on Minako's actual question, shaking her head after the girl asks it.

"N-No! I don't think there's anything obviously bad.." Especially since Chizuru already thinks it's impressive enough when people can sing well in general! "I mean.. if you really feel like it's important for the emotion to get through in what you sing, then all you have to do while singing is focus on those feelings within you, right..?"

And in that case Minako should be fine as long as she does that.

"That correct, but at the same time you would want positive emotinos to go into a negative song or vice versa. So I was hoping to check I'm putting across my true feelings instead of the feelings I might be feeling at the time I sing it. Nerves being the example."

So at least she now knows that she can do it, so she was honestly relieved to say the least.

"But that advice is super helpful~"

Chizuru smiles.

"Honestly, I don't know why you should have to feel nerves in the first place.." Sure, nerves are natural. Chizuru understands that, to a certain extent. But at the same time all she can see when she looks at Minako is that the other is a pretty girl. One who can sing very well on top of it.

Which is why Chizuru shakes her head. "You have nothing to be worried about when you sing. It's really pretty, and I think your talent is really amazing too."

"Because everyone gets the nerves sometimes. Sure I am filled to the brim with such confidence a lot of the time, but even I now and again will get it."

Mostly because this had been the first time she had a purpose behind the song rather than being nervous to sing in general. She was confident in her own singing. Who wouldn't if they want to be the worlds best idol.

"Thank you, and who knows you might see more of me in the future once my star starts to shine even brighter~ But I will always make time for you of course because I like to think we're friends."

. . . . . .

Hold on a second here.

Chizuru was smiling at Minako only a moment ago, but now her eyes suddenly grow wide with surprise instead. The cause for it becomes rapidly obvious when she says: "F-Friends?"

Ah, yes, the almighty f-word. Enough to bring Chizuru to her metaphorical knees.

"You really think we're friends? Even though you're a goddess?"

Granted, Chizuru did make friends with a princess back home - but that already felt like a wild, wild thing! A goddess is even wilder! She can hardly wrap her mind around it.

"I like to think so. Did you not think so?"

For Minako it seemed easy to really make friends so she had just assumed and never really thought that it might not actually be the case.

"Is it odd that I would want to?"

"N-No!" Chizuru quickly puts up her hands, in a half-defensive, half-pacifying kind of gesture. She wouldn't want Minako to get the wrong idea here, after all. The last thing Chizuru would ever want to do is make someone else feel weird for their choices.

"I don't think it's odd! I mean.. um, most people probably wouldn't think it's odd.."

.. because most people sure have more social experience than Chizuru, anyway.

"It's just that I don't often encounter people who want to be friends that quickly.." Especially not outside of this place. Here in Trench people sure seem a whole lot more friendship-happy than back home, from Chizuru's experience so far.

"I mean... yeah." People usually wouldn't befriend that quickly, but in a place like this making friends like that was just a good idea as they could help in the long run while one was here.

For some it was more of a new life for them too. For Minako she kept parts of herself, but knew that she herself has changed too. Including wanting to try more in the outside of her friend group department for her own benefit.

"Here I think for people it's good to do that because with all the horrors the support is welcome."
