[ katherine smiles and laughs lightly, but then she presses her lips together and stops herself. ]

Very.

[ she wiggles her fingers again as if they have the shakes. ]

I was too busy being ticklish to feel any of that.

You're so adorably intoxicated.

( stefan catches one of her fingers and presses his lips to her fingers before letting her go. )

Does that tickle? I wonder where else you're ticklish. I could learn so much about you.

[manipulative]

[ she nods and hums. yep, very ticklish. he should do it again. it sends nice little hot sparks through her that she likes very much.

she takes another sip of her wine. ]

Not ticklish anywhere else. Just on my fingers.

[ she wiggles her fingers again to lure in his attention. ]

I don't know if I believe drunk you when you tell me that.

( but he does lean forward and kisses her wiggling fingers again before even sucking one into his mouth. he probably shouldn't take advantage of this but he can't help it. )

Bet your sides are ticklish. Your feet. Maybe your stomach.

[manipulative]

[ she's distracted for a moment as she watches him suck on one of her fingers. is he speaking? what is he saying? what is he even doing other than sucking on her finger?

she doesn't look up from his mouth. she smiles and shakes her head. ]

Nope, nope, nope.

[ she's too busy. keep doing that. ]

( he's definitely going to keep doing that but he also sneaks a hand down her side and underneath her shirt so he can brush the tips of his fingers against her side.

is she ticklish there? he keeps his eyes on her and sucks on her fingers while he waits for her reaction. )

[manipulative]

Stop it.

[ katherine jerks away from his hand, sucking in her belly as if that's going to give him less of her to touch. she's careful not to move the hand of the fingers he's sucking. ]

I'm not ticklish there.

[ says the woman who is ticklish there. ]

You are.

( he takes her fingers out of his mouth and smirks. she tries to shift away from him but he brushes his fingers against her again. )

You're very ticklish. Learning all kinds of new things about you.

[manipulative]

I'm not ticklish. I'm just a sensitive person.

[ incredibly delicate, very kind, etc. etc. isn't that what ticklish people are? gentle people? she thinks that's her to a t.

she tries to shift subtly away from him again. ]

There's a difference.

( stefan let's her fingers go and then smirks at her because he can feel her moving and shifting. )

If there's a difference, why don't you stay still and let me test it out?

( would you let him do that, katherine? )

[manipulative]

[ katherine rolls her eyes, annoyed at him. she shifts and glares at him pointedly, and keeps her wine glass tucked comfortably between her fingers. ]

I have to get comfortable, first.

[ she makes a show of wiggling before she ultimately stays still. with her legs folded beneath her, she sits up tall and glares at him. ]

Why are you glaring at me, Katherine?

( oh, he knows why. )

What did I do?

[manipulative]

Nothing.

[ she doesn't stop glaring at him, not even when she lifts that wine glass to her lips and takes a sip. he's in so much danger. ]

Can't I look at you?

[prescind]

You're not looking, you're glaring.

( stefan reaches down and brushes his fingers against her stomach, smiling. )

Stop glaring. I like you better when you don't glare.

[manipulative]

[ although she does shift a little, katherine continues to glare. she even narrows her eyes more to make it a point: she's glaring. ]

And why don't you like me when I glare, Stefan?

[ although she cocks an eyebrow, she continues to glare just for good measure. ]

Because it typically means you're mad at me and I don't like when you're mad at me.

( duh, katherine, duh. )

And right now, you're drunkenly mad. It's an interesting combination.

[manipulative]

I'm not drunk.

[ so, she's just mad, then. but katherine doesn't feel mad. she's just mad he thinks she's drunk. she's not drunk!

she narrows her eyes and lifts her wineglass, but doesn't take a sip just yet. ]

I'm happy. Why can't I be happy and glare? That's a thing.

[prescind]

Why would you be happy and glaring?

( that doesn't make sense, katherine. even drunk, you should know that. he laughs and reaches up to tap her chin. )

I think you saying that just proves you're a little intoxicated.

[manipulative]

Or...

[ she smiles, narrowing her eyes even then. she relaxes and stops her fake glaring. ]

I'm doing it because it's annoying you and you're frowning. [ she brushes her fingers against the skin between his brows. ] Cute frown lines.

[prescind]

( stefan shakes his head and rolls his eyes. )

Are you going to let me up so I can get something else to drink?

( he can't really move with her sitting on his lap. not that he minds her sitting there. )

[manipulative]

[ katherine inhales deeply and sighs, smiling at him as she considers his question. she could and she will, but she won't do it immediately. very reluctantly, she shifts off of his lap to sit right beside him. ]

I think you should get me something to drink.

[ she shakes her wine glass before she tips it back and empties it. ]

This wine is very nice.

[prescind]

( stefan can't help the laugh that slips out before he moves to his feet. there's a shadow close by that he doesn't realizes he's pulled into himself. nothing happens. not yet. )

You want something else to drink?

( why is he not surprised? )

Maybe water?

[manipulative]

[ katherine makes a disgusted face. water? really? no; she doesn't want water. she wants something with flavour. ]

Wine, please.

[ she holds her empty glass up to him to take and smiles as she does so. see? no glaring. he likes this face, doesn't he? ]

I can have all the water I want some other time.

[prescind]

I think you've gone through a bottle or two already.

( he sighs and takes her glass though because he's going ot get her wine and he knows it. )

Water would be better.

[manipulative]

[ arching her brow, katherine peers up at him expectantly. is he really going to pass judgement on how many bottles she's had? don't think she hasn't counted the number of bourbon bottles he's gone through.

so, she starts to glare at him again. it's really the simplest solution to getting what she wants. ]
