If I'd known you were interested in science I would have dragged you into the field earlier.
[He and Takashi were closer. He'd told Adam about what Keith had gone through. The trauma. Perhaps Adam could serve him best as a distraction.
He has his notepad on, noting variations and any other obtainable data.]
Noticed anything interesting yet?
no subject
Well, I was more trying to figure out if there was anything to it that might have clues or something about this place... not so much the idea of glowing water being scientific.
[Geeze, Adam. You were such a nerd. (As if Keith and Shiro weren't in their own ways.) Keith shrugged.]
Just kind of searching. I heard people found some stuff in those boats, so I was curious.

[He slid a familiar smile Keith's way, one eyebrow raised.]
Want to check out the boats?
no subject
Like any of us do?
[Really... pot, kettle, and pan...]
Yeah. Let's go.
[He had his blade. It would be easier to use underwater in the dagger form than as a sword, so there was that, at least, if they needed it.]
no subject
He had a small dagger on him too, attached at the hip. Takashi insisted. He still thought the spoon was fine. The things he did to keep Takashi happy.
And with that, he waded forward.]
Let me know if you feel or see anything unexpected. If its harder to move than you might expect, if you smell anything you wouldn't normally smell in the water, that kind of thing.
no subject
[Okay, yeah... that sounded weird.]
I mean, I know people said we could breathe and stuff down there as long as we stayed in the glow, but... like... actually smell things?

[Adam had also heard that those who found treasures on these ships started to act a little off, but. Well. For all he knew all the treasure was gone by now anyway.
At least he'd get some extra notes on the phenomenon.]
no subject
Okay... point.
[Once deep enough, he sank down into the water so he could actually start swimming.]
no subject
It wasn't too long before he could make his first major discovery.]
Do you see that? All the ships. They look different. Materials, design. I wonder if they're built for different bodies of water, even.
no subject
[Honestly, it wasn't hard to keep up with Keith. He wasn't the best swimmer. Most of his experience was from water safety lessons in pools along with 'this is how you handle a water landing' training in the Garrison.]
no subject
Could be. Different worlds are another possibility. If I was a better artist I could sketch these out and show them around town, see who recognizes them.
no subject
[Sketch them out, at least.]
Just need to get a good look at them...
no subject
Let's keep following the trail then. Maybe we can pick one to board.
no subject
Okay.
[Keith dove a bit further, looking at all the different ships. Some of them looked marked.]
I think those ones with the giant X's on them might have already been checked? What do you think?
no subject
[He nods off towards a cluster of ships further out.]
Might as well try our luck with that bunch.
no subject
Alright. Let's go.
[He shifted, getting his bearings in the water and started moving, watching the ships and the moving shadows beyond the glowing water to make sure nothing decided to try making the two of them into a meal or something.
As they moved into the field of ships, they'd eventually come across something that looked to be about mid-1900s... maybe a cruiseliner of some sort? But it was the first one that wasn't already marked.]
What about that one?
[Keith pointed towards it.]
