Fresh tears ran down Midoriya's cheeks. He didn't have the words to tell Ruby how much he appreciated her help and kindness. If not for the kindness of others, he would feel terribly lost here. Like Cloverfield.

"Do you know what they look like?" he asked Cloverfield gently. There was an uncomfortable pause.

"No..." Cloverfield finally sighed.

Without saying anything more, a mourning sound like a gale hurtling through stone and metal emanated from roughly where Cloverfield's head was. Midoriya, overcome, turned and buried his face against the cold metal of Cloverfield's arm. His own sob was drowned out by the sound.
