Pocket World-Dabi
Loud crashing of church bells in the distance echo throughout the empty streets. Just off the center of town, near the opening of the woods, a high pitched shriek from within the forest's walls rips through the dusk hour-disturbing the quietness of the bleak scenery.
Running through the brush a dark haired boy moves like a shadow darting between trees and shrubbery. Close on his heels a beast lurks waiting to strike in the blackness and void of the forest floor. Hands pressed to the ground a thin layer of ice splinters outward coating the damp muddy ground in a pristine layer of white.
Seconds pass as a large talon rips through an old oak tree -sending it hurtling towards the direction of town, or anyone unfortunate enough to be in its path. The creature moves with such great speed, much like a flash of lightning- -silent- golden-and devastating.]
Watch out!
[OOC: Sorry it took a while to get this up, I had some unexpected medical issues come up!]
s'all good!
trust isn't something he expects or gives, finding the oppressive clanging of metal bells within the church towers as garish a noise as the slashing thunders and lightning across the sky. a storm far off, but visible should you care to look. he does not care, instead focusing his footsteps towards the church doors across the town square. time to once more play the innocent arrival...
a shriek? turquoise eyes swing to the side, looking over his shoulder as his mouth hides behind the angled collar of his coat. someone's coming... or in this place, something. tsk. always an interruption at the worst time. a bristling runs across the back of his shoulders, able to pick out the sound of ground being iced over. it can't be him... it'd be a damn mockery-!
that... would be a tree trunk. flying out of the forest towards the cobblestone streets he's standing on.]
Shit.
[even as someone crashes out of the forest, dabi lifts his hand, scarred visage facing up at the hurting plant corpse, and FWOOM!! the entire world lights up in blazing blue. flames burst outward in a wide flare, catching the tree within its width. only takes a second or two, its weight pushed back by the force of heat... and ashes rain down around him, hand dropping to his side. now what? there's a guy running... and something golden coming after him?
it's fast!]
no subject
An expert by no means in this form of transportation it's clear he's out of control. Eyes scan searching…and what about that flying tree trunk??
A bright blue flame followed by a blast of heat grazes his face instantly
and unfortunatelymelting the thin layer of ice underneath him. With no time to react and the law of inertia still at play, Megumi continues barreling forward with no end in sight.Enter a new foe: rock.
A stone about the size of a baseball knicks the unlucky bastard's flat shoe--launching him through the air landing about a foot from the unfamiliar face. Covered in warm mud, ash and a bit of soot, green eyes urgently shoot up. ]
Get do--
[Before he can get the words out, the look a like cultist, swings his legs at the back of the stranger's knees in an attempt to knock him off his feet. As a large shadow, much like a dark storm cloud, looms over the two.
Looking up passing over head, one might be able to catch sight of the dark matte underbelly of the beast before being blinded by a strange bright light.]
[OOC:Cool! If you ever want to add something and or adjust just lmk. Action can be a bit tricky sometimes and I don't wanna step on toes!
no subject
turquoise eyes narrow behind a veil of choppy silver bangs, watching the other man come tearing out of the woods in a less than graceful way. stumbling forward in a crazed run to escape from whatever's chasing him through the forest. shit, the hell is that glowing thing? it's not something dabi wants to content with and he takes a step back to avoid getting involved-
he tripped. running as fast as he can and this idiot from the woods trips on a rock, sending him flying through the air towards dabi. for a second, the villain's surprised enough not to move, expression flat and wry in stupefied incredulous. seriously?
congratulations. it's a second long enough for megumi to swipe a leg out and whack right into dabi's own, earning a grunt in surprise as his knees buckle from the strike and he collapses onto one hand and his back. the hell-?! before he can yell at him (or burn him), the creature rushes overhead. a beast... the underbelly, the brilliant light, way too close for comfort!
FWOOM! dabi's entire body ignites in that same blue flame and a veritable pillar of scorching azure heat roars upward into the air, catching as much of the creature as possible in fires above 3000 degrees celsius. yeah, he does NOT want to be this close range to something like that. so goes for the instant kill immediately. flat on his back in the dirty street.
what a rebound.]
[ooc: not a problem! you did that action well! i'm good with adapting to the flow, so i'm looking forward to this~]

Angry. A loud roar rips through the streets causing a small tear in the very fabric of space. Tiny black hands reach outward- beckoning and calling anyone who gets too close to come in for a final embrace.
Patiently, the creature lands on its feet surprisingly soft with its feline-like reflexes. A pause as the creature's head moves back and forth scanning its surroundings, before snapping towards the two.
Standing at 5 stories tall, the large beast dawns a golden mane made of complete raw bone in the likeness of the sun. Its head is the skeletal remains of a deer with the sockets of its eyes a deep dark leathery blood red. Its muscular body is steel grey and as solid as a tank. On its back, craters that mimic the moon's surface are carved into its flesh. There is a strange black smog rising out of these hollow boney basins. Razor sharp talons grip the ground- easily cleaving through most surfaces. Its lack of eyes has it relying solely on the spiny points of each spike on its head- much like a shark detecting its prey using the electromagnetic field and the charge that every living creature puts out. A beating heart. This is the creature known as the Reaper by locals and the Sleeper Slayer by others.
The intense light of the blue flames combined with the creature's golden spark completely blinds Megumi momentarily. Shielding his eyes by burrowing into his arms as he feels an intense heat explode outward from the man to his side. With temperatures exceeding the melting point of rocks- he's pretty sure whatever is hit will be burned to a crisp- including himself. Coldblood or not he's not waiting to find out. Getting to his knees his eyes remain shut for a moment but flicker open as the creature roars commanding attention. ]

dabi tenses as he recognizes the black hands. they're they're the same kind that grabbed and dragged him (and presumably the rest of the sleepers) down into his shithole! tsk... now this is personal. getting kidnapped by sentient "god" things is one insult, but getting sucked into another area by some fucking animal is downright offensive to his pride. he's already sitting up, kicking a leg to get megumi's out from under him where he probably collapsed on it, so he can get a lock on the creature.
they're at a disadvantage lying prone like this.
five stories?! what the hell?! his eyes widen as the full height rears up above them. it's as large as that damn giant the doctor and all for one made! at least dabi can pick out the lack of noticeable eyes, but can't tell if that matters or if it's using some other sensory location to track them. obviously the beast of staring right at the pair, so it knows they're here.]
We're targets out here. Move. [one hand snags around megumi's collar and dabi hauls him upward as much as he's clamoring to his feet. teaming up is not his forte, more a lone wolf who returns to an approved group once his work is done, but he's far more attentive to what gives him an advantage. and right now, megumi's survival to give dabi two-on-one odds is a much greater advantage than leaving the guy to die. shoving him to his feet, the villain strafes towards the buildings nearby, intending to get them into the mess of streets and alleys where a five-story-tall beast won't have complete ease of moving around.
and it gives them places to hide.
not that he expects this creature to give them a free run towards cover. blue flames ignite in his hand and he throws it to the side. almost instantly, a massive wall of blue flames springs to life between the creature and the pair. even if it won't keep it at bay for long, hopefully the heat and light will block out its sensing them for a brief period. light for sight, crackling roars for sound, and burning anything to cover their scent.]
no subject
As the wall of flames reaches up for the sky, Megumi's thumbs clasp together in a twisting motion, fanning the rest of his fingers in front of his face. An unusual gust of wind swirls outward tornadoing upward-- there is a distinct smell of voltaic energy brewing.]
Don't look back– Brace yourself!-
[ Distracted and cornered the beast must act. Feeling the intensity of the heat, the Reaper sits back on its hind legs getting ready to pounce in what it hopes to be the direction of its fleeing quarry, away from the danger of the molten undying flames.
CRASH- CRACKLE a large violet bolt of lightning strikes downward. Anyone watching would find that besides its vibrant color- the source of the electric seems a bit unusual. Instead of hovering in the clouds the spark comes from mid air about 2 stories up.
The charged pulse of over 30,000 amps directly strikes the searing hot flames.
💥 BOOM
A large explosion tears through the streets. Debris and fragments of the ground fly forward- taking the disengaged fighters further into the dilapidated ruins. Tumbling forward the two are just far enough away to escape any serious bodily harm.
A thick cloud of black camouflages the body of the behemoth. Looking at the spectacle is like experiencing a small-scale solar storm. A sort of cosmic clash. As the blue flames spark and ignite by each passing blast of electrical force-a series of rapid fire explosions go off in the swirling clouds of chaos. ]

Jail Break - Chin CW Low grade body horror
For at least one of them this is not his first time being here. No, he doesn't have the pleasure or luxury of knowing this place but only once, like some sort of deranged nightmare. He gets the honors of being drug back down to hell for a second time. No longer able to hide behind a false identity, his face and name have been on the vengeful cultist's minds. Little does he know he's not the only one being convicted of past crimes.
The walls surrounding the pair sweat with a thin layer of condensation. Every breath is laced with mold and the smell of wet Earth. Every drop adds to the mounting pressure that's been building on Megumi's back. A brigade of "holy officers'' light up the dingy hallway.
A bald man with a gaunt hollow face swathed in a pristine white robe approaches the bars. First in a hushed voice he chants something foreign before looking to his subordinates. His black eyes are set deep back into his skull. Skin stained with liver spots and other unknown disease, as long bony fingers turn the lock with a large set of skeleton keys. Fidgeting for a moment before releasing the rusty hatch. In a raspy aged voice he declares. ]
It's time.
Re: Jail Break - Chin CW Low grade body horror
Looks like we're in for a...
[ Before Chin Yisou can finish, an elbow jabs his side. He glares at the filthy attendant in front of him. He can see the dandruff flaking from his head. ]
No one gave you permission to speak!
[ The voice sounds a bit raspy and high pitched. Clearly, the two prisoners have found themselves caught at the hands of madmen. Once they enter the court room, both prisoners are bound to a center stand. While awaiting trial, the judge appears to take a glance at the subjects.]
What a delight! Such pretty faces we have in the court. Maybe, if you behave, then we can ammend your sentence to servitude.
[ The judge imposes with a wink. His disheveled appearance is less threatening than the odor permeating from his body. The smell of frankincense and myrrh cannot overpower the unbathed scent. His smell assaults the noses around him. With a pause, the judge winks in the younger man's direction while smiling with broken teeth. ]
CW: Vomit FLAILS ARMS
Dark maroon cloaks blur into black robes creating a strange painterly effect. Almost as if an artist took a few different swatches of color on the tip of a brush. All separate but once pressed on paper they each form a solid line of color- single file side by side.
Closing his eyes, Megumi tries to get his bearings but finds it difficult to concentrate. Constantly swallowing his saliva with the hopes of calming the nauseating pulse coming from his stomach. A new voice speaks but the words seem to go in one ear and right out the other.
Met by the acrid smell of burning incense mixed with fetid filth, mint green eyes open wide- darting back and forth in at attempt to see who is responsible for this onslaught of his senses. Only to be met by the intent stare of the bugged eyed crazed man before him. This look of absolute hunger in the lunatic's gaze screams: He's out for blood.
With mounting pressure physically and mentally, he goes for another shallow swallow but no luck- the boy's mouth runs dry.
A cold sweat overtakes Megumi causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand. Completely overwhelmed, he opens his mouth to answer, but it's not words that come out, but rather a thick stream of yellow bile- that sloshes to the ground missing his clothes and splatting in front of him. Adding yet another pungent layer to the aroma in the stagnant air. After a moment of dry heaving there's silence. ]
Re: CW: Vomit FLAILS ARMS
What a predicament.
[ While the prisoner speaks, he receives a blow to his gut. In horror, Chin Yisou watches as the cultist leaves extra grime on his robes. ]
You will have to wait for permission to speak!
[ The cultist's mood shifts constantly. Truly he is emotionally unstable- being delighted at one moment but enraged in the next. ]
I, Salym, shall be the judge! Let's begin dealing with these heretics !
[ As the stinky man takes the stand, there's a moment left for a whisper. ]
So, how are we escaping this?
[ Chin Yisou's eye turns to The Ranger. ]

There's nothing remarkable about where the congregation would sit. It's your average pews lined on each side and divided down the middle. At the center of the altar an old stone pestle and mortar lay upside-down. Which is probably a good thing because it seems to be empty.
Just beyond that a golden tabernacle marked with the wretched god's symbol engraved into the slab sits proudly. But looking outward only lasts so long- before shifting his view back to the situation at hand.
Enchanted chains dig into his pale wrists. Burrowing deep- cutting off his cursed energy something he's never dealt with anywhere. If he's being completely honest that's a frightening prospect- but for a fleeting second a thought crosses his mind. Eyes flicker but it's no time for what ifs. Right here, right now getting out of here is priority number one.]
Getting these off- [metal rattles quickly has he shifts his weight to mask his voice from unwanted ears. Looking to his side, it's obvious that Chin has similar restraints, but he's unaware of the extent of his power loss.
Leaning towards his companion, eyes dead serious-] cut my wrist.
no subject
Here we are with those dreaded heretics from the other side. We've seen their kind before. Yet, never had we seen such sneaky, vile, wretched things! They are a threat to our holy regime. Now, where's the list of grievances?
[ The demon glares at the situation. While his gaze returns to his friend, Chin Yisou writhes internally. What does he want...me to cut his wrist? He fails to see the sense in injury. Yet, while Chin Yisou passes his eyes to meet the Ranger's own- something happens. A figure appears in mind. One of dark hair and cold green eyes. The demon's intrusive thought leads to another. He swiftly claws at the Ranger's wrist. One long nail cutting deeper than the demon would have intended in the right mind. ]
What the bloody hell?
[ Salym's voice is frantic. His bugged eyes stare frightfully at the demon lost in a manic state of laughter. Then, his gaze turns to the blood. ]
This isn't how it's supposed to go! Someone wrap that man's wrist! And you! Subdue the maniac!
no subject
But no such outcome- instead the cool turquoise semi-solid liquid struggles to pour from his vain. Clinging to his skin and hardening as it slowly drips onto the metal surface. The thick scent of smoky ash fills the air- the perfect cover up.
Two strange cloaked figures frantically approach Megumi in an attempt to restrain the wounded young man.
Concentrating as the blood flows downward- images of lava cascading down a volcano flash behind his eyes. Melting everything it touches- simultaneously lighting a fire hot enough to melt the chains that bind him. As the last link breaks- liquid metal drips to the ground.
Flicking his wrist forward- he's free. The remaining metal dangles- swinging it forward adjusting his grip on his makeshift nunchucks. Swaying the chain behind his head before whipping the shackle like a snake snapping its tail. Blistering red skin puckers outward-Landing a branding blow across his assailants cheek.]

OTA - Wheat Bracelet
A large stained glass window pours shards of colorful light onto an old oak table. Streaks of purple and blue combine with lively greens and reds. The projected image is of a raven feeding her young- the golden hues of a nest perched precariously. Teetering just on the edge of the pile of books. A work of art.
A brilliant and intelligent animal for sure. It's an ever so popular decorum of the Gaze and particularly the archaic archives. And what more appropriate then, for the creature to be perched a top of books. Inviting everyone to live on the edge and taste a bit of knowledge.
Sitting at this table is a serious looking young man dressed in all black. Much like the sky filled with gleaming stars in a sea of endless night, his stark profile contrasts yet compliments the waves of vivid colors.
He doesn't seem to notice you. Light green eyes plastered to the novel in his hand. You may notice his grip on the spine of the book is tight. The beautiful leather bound chair he's sitting in looks comfortable, but he's sitting so far up -completely engrossed. The title: The Road .
Looking around all the books seem to do their magical shuffle, so it's hard to tell just what branch of the massive library you're in. There's an open chair that looks quite comfortable next to the quiet boy. Inviting and beckoning you to come take a seat and bask in the warm delightful atmosphere.]

Fushiguro?
[she gives a lightly ironic half-curtsy. lady sits down neatly, ignoring all dirty looks in her direction.]
I hope you're here for Never Mind's prize; I should very much like to know how you spend your days.
no subject
Ms. Stark, [eyes glance to the impressive book in her arms.] Find what you're looking for. [His voice is calm and a bit low. Eyes trail to Lady, the corner of his lips rise into a small smile. Acknowledging her presence too.
The question causes him to stiffen and eyes to widen, a bit surprised. A private person, please forgive him he's a bit confused. ]
I come here when I'm not patrolling for beasts. [Eyebrows furrow but release.] I've been stuck in the pocket Trench. [A pause. ] A prize?
[No stranger to the archives or the many scholars, this is one of the only places he feels solace. ]
no subject
You were in the other dimension? Did Riteoir's people take you? That's what Never Mind said happened to my friend Vi, my sworn sword. She helps at the Sanctuary, and at the outpost. Did you see her where you were? She has short pink hair, and it says Vi on her cheek.
[she sets the book down in her lap.]
We've been looking for ways to find her––
[she glances down at her book.]
Well, no one here knew anything, so I went looking for books that might tell me anything about my magic from home. So little has been written about Greenseers and greenseer magic; it's been so long since they were commonplace. I have learned that only one in ten children might be born a skinchanger, and only one in a hundred skinchangers might become a greenseer, but my brother Bran told me all six of us could learn to do it.
[she offers him a small, rueful smile.]
Never Mind is giving people bracelets that will clear the blood pollution from a small plot of land, if they get to know someone new. I suppose to that end I should say it is Lady Stark, but I would be glad if you might call me Sansa.
no subject
Pink hair and writing on her face. Unfortunately he's positive he would have remembered someone matching that description had he seen her. ]
I've been there twice... those cultists locked me away for a while the second time. [A pause]
She'll need another sleeper to help get her out. There's a ritual that involves two different types of sleeper blood. [ Eyes look away before returning. Almost as if not wanting to reveal unpleasant news.] I haven't seen her, but if I can be of any help let me know. The world is a deranged version of the Trench, so she could have been anywhere, but there are weak points in the dimension. I think that's how sleepers may be dragged in, and I know that's how I got out.
[A beat
Going off solely what he can deduce by the word alone. ] Is that someone who can turn into an animal? [He's not all that familiar with druid lore, but such an ability would be fantastic to see.
Listening to Sansa explain the bracelet he nods in agreement. His memory is extremely sharp and he knows how sensitive names can be.] Sansa [Repeating her name more as a form of apology with a small bow of his head upon hearing the correction.]
no subject
I'm sorry that happened to you. It's horrible, to be a prisoner. Still, if there's a way out, Vi will find it.
[she sighs, a rueful curve to her lips.]
I said I'd rescue her from basements, when she swore her sword to me.
[but still, she brightens a little at his question.]
Lady Ammako said it might better be called 'skinsharing.' I suppose my realm isn't very good at naming things––there aren't even Seven Kingdoms, truly. I can show you, though...
[she's already sitting, anyway. sansa briefly stills and her eyes turn white, while lady's glow blue.
she stretches her forelegs towards the boy and dips her head in a bow...
lady's eyes return to brown and she settles into a comfortable posture. sansa's eyes are blue again when she smiles.]
Wolves and dogs are easiest, but I can also do birds and seals. Never Mind helped me with the ravens.

Re: OTA - Wheat Bracelet
Is this seat taken?
[ He asks while extending an arm towards the leather chair. ]
no subject
It's open. [ Head nods towards the seat. The entire interaction is very much like when a stranger asks to sit next to you on a bus filled with empty seats.
Akward and a bit strange. This place is huge, but he doesn't think much more of it. Returning his focus to the book.]
no subject
Thank you.
[ He sits down. The old man sees how intently the other is reading the book. Must be good. He thinks. Though the old man doesn't take to books as much as he enjoys playing. Soon he whips out a PSP and begins to play some variation of the plumber brothers where you can build the map and play through. Although the sound is silent, one can still hear...]

Video games...? [Stated in an are you serious tone...
Who does that?! Although, admittingly he knows a few people who immediately come to mind as offenders, but they're not normal! Which means this guy must be sorta like them. Not that it matters. Either way he's annoying, rude and completely ignorant to social etiquette.
Why do people do things like this. Yes he's knows it's not really that big of a deal. But come one dude, you clearly weren't born yesterday! ]
Re: CW slight Agism
I'm sorry, I didn't realize you'd be bothered.
[ The old man gives a sigh and looks at his device. After saving his game, he puts the PSP in his bag. ]
I guess you weren't that involved with the book, huh?
[ He remarks still with a disheartened expression. ]
