[ wanda feigns a crestfallen look as she sighs heavily, pretending as if he's prompted her to remind her of the fact that he, her date to this alleged party, is no longer her date. ]
I have no date now. How can I even show my face? I'll be a laughing stock.
[ while wanda does her best to appear very serious at his response, going as far as nodding, she's just as quick to break into a wide smile. she crinkles her nose in elation. ]
[ wanda shakes her head, clucking her tongue. he's finally getting into the spirit of things, even if wanda suspects it's to try and deter her from ever asking him to dress up again. ]
[ she furrows her brows as she looks at him before dropping her gaze to his leg. there is a good chance he's pulling her leg right now, but wanda doesn't brush him off. tilting her head to the side, she listens for a moment before looking up at him again. ]
[ if amos is about to fall, wanda very easily magics a barrier that'll keep him from tumbling backward.
she peers down at his leg curiously before she squats. gently touching his knee, she frowns as she begins to knock her fist along his leg. glancing up, she looks around in search of something. ]
It could be where we are, but... [ she shakes her head. ] I can't sense anything strange here.
It's all right. We will fix this with a nice little potion.
[ wanda presses her lips to the side as she looks down at his legs. she doesn't consider the fact that she doesn't do potions. she can fix anything with a flick of her fingers and a little might. ]
Can I look at your leg?
[ and to convey what she means, she taps on his pant leg. while she sincerely doubts amos will care for his modesty, she doesn't particularly want to pull up his pant leg without his permission. it might spook him into stiffening even more. ]
( he grabs at his the leg of his pants and pulls, lifting it up. when he pulls it up, what used to be a regular, human leg is just metal now, shiny and looking new. )
[ wanda does her best to school her face as she sees metal replace flesh. while she's not always the best actress (the camera caught too many of her bewildered expressions during season one of wandavision), she wants to believe she's worked on her poker face.

( so he would not win any award, thank you. )
You'd better not be taking me to some Halloween party either.
no subject
But I told all my friends I was bringing a cute robot with me as my date.
[ how can you resist this pouting face? ]
no subject
( he makes a face. )
Date?

I have no date now. How can I even show my face? I'll be a laughing stock.
no subject
( amos rolls his eyes. )
And I'm sure that it would bother you so much.
no subject
[ she sighs dramatically, ignoring him as she walks rather forlornly. there's a sad little air around her. ]
One that's a lot nicer. Cuter.
no subject
( he thinks he's a rare breed, being this nice. )
I don't think even you're that persuasive.
no subject
I can be persuasive.
[ and she's not referring to her magic, of course. she puts her witch's hat back on her head and adjusts it, although it's slightly lopsided. ]
I can be very persuasive. How else did I get you into this costume?
no subject
( ha. )
And was feeling generous.
no subject
You and I both know neither of those two words describes you. [ she wriggles her nose and smiles. ] You wanted to dress up.
no subject
( trying to be nice? he doesn't know. )
Just thought it might be nice to go for a change.
no subject
You wanted to dress up!
[ she can read between the lines, burton. ]
Your secret will be semi-safe with me.
no subject
he frowns and looks down. he tries to bend his knee and finds that he cannot. )
The fuck?
no subject
You can't get out of this secret, Amos.
no subject
( he knocks his leg and there's only the sound of hollow metal. )
That's not right!
no subject
Move it again.
no subject
I can't bend my fucking leg.
( what in the fucking fuck. )
Five minutes ago, I was fine.

( he tries to force his knee to bend and all that does is send pain radiating up his spine.
he stops, panting a bit and then shakes his head. )
This isn't — this isn't right.

Fuck me.
no subject
this is bad. but it has to be fixable.
she very gently taps on his leg. ]
Can you feel that?
no subject
( which probably isn't good. he frowns because no, he can't feel it. )
What the fuck's gone on with my leg?
no subject
[ wanda taps his leg a few more times before she knocks on it. as she does, her knuckles turn greyscale before returning to their natural colour. ]
It seems that your leg has turned to in. Did you oil this morning?
no subject
( did he what? is she joking with him? )
Why would I do that?
