katherine's not one for sentimentality. she doesn't visit graves, even though she's had a knack for putting people in them. but she takes to the cemetery at the beginning of the month, not quite sure what she's expecting. she certainly doesn't anticipate forgetting her cat's name a few days later.
she stands in the kitchen, looking at her black feline who sits on the counter and licks at her paws without a care in the world. the white dog's lying down on the kitchen floor, rolling about until he settles. and when he starts to bark, she clicks her fingers. he doesn't stop. ]
Stop it… dog.
[ that doesn't help, either. but for the life of her, she can't remember his name. did he even have one? ]
( stefan frowns because...she's usually a little more affectionate to aleksander than that. and he's not really doing anything besides standing there and barking. )
[ feeling flustered, she turns away from stefan and the dog and waves her hand. she opens a top cupboard and begins to rifle through it as a distraction. ]
[ wanda thinks she's funny dressing up as samantha from bewitched as a witch. a witch wearing a witch wearing a witch is witchception—and she thinks that's freaking hilarious.
after daring amos to dress up for halloween—it's the only time of the year where he can be someone else without any judgement—and winning by seeing him all dressed up, wanda decides it's only fair that they go to the festival. after all, isn't that the fun of halloween? attending things that you wouldn't normally go to and being someone you're usually not?
as she leaves with amos from his apartment, she readjusts her black witch's hat and smiles up at him. ]
( he doesn't know samantha. and even if he did, he thinks he'd say no because he's distracted by his own damn costume, the robot suit making him a little stiff but it's not terrible.
he doesn't know why he's done this though besides her dare. )
She's a witch who wriggles her nose to do her magic.
[ wanda wriggles her nose for emphasis, although nothing happens. while there's obviously more to samantha than that, that's not what wanda wants to share. it'll simply overwhelm him… and wanda, despite being a pain in the ass at times, doesn't want to make amos feel more on edge than he already does.
she smiles at him. ]
We should've brought you a little oil can.
[ okay, so, maybe she wants to pick on him just a little. ]
[ katherine sighs as the glow in her hand stops burning brightly. she stops where she is and slouches her shoulders. ]
It's dimmed again.
[ when she turns on her foot to go back where she had come from, it begins to glow brighter. she can easily see amos' silhouette through the bright glow, although his glow doesn't seem to be burning too hot in the direction he's testing.
since finding herself in the woods, katherine's tried to use her senses and the object in her hand to find her way back home. she's been trying to find breadcrumbs along the floor of the woods, but it seems that the creatures have gotten to them long before she has. her only saving grace has been finding amos, his glow, and him being as utterly lost as she is. ]
( amos doesn't much care for all this. he just wants to find his way out of the woods and go home, have a drink. but he's been lost for a long fucking time and he doesn't know what else to do besides follow these damn lights.
at least katherine's here? but she seems to be pretty lost herself so...maybe it's not as good a thing as it usually would be. )
What? Not a fan of being eaten by animals? It's good for the environment.
[ she's not going to die out here, either. she hadn't died in the woods in the 1400s and she refuses to die in them now. even if she has no idea where they're going, she knows she'll get them out of here. she always does. ]
[ hadn't wanda posed this theory to stefan an hour or so ago? she'd thought the glowing pieces were a part of a puzzle and had diligently followed them, letting them lead the way to what she had hoped to be the exit. but now she stood with a compass in hand.
when the dragon's head begins to move, wanda peers over at stefan with wide uncertain eyes. ]
[ she tilts her head to the side as she regards the compass. the only thing they'll lose if they follow it is perhaps going in the right direction… but considering neither of them know where that is, wanda doesn't consider it much of a loss to begin with. ]
But you've met one? [ she cocks her brow and peers up at him with a teasing smile. that answer left so much room for assumption. ]
wanda's hoping to mark off her bingo square of meeting someone who's met a dragon. if aliens can be real, she thinks dragons have a good chance, too. ]
Hm. [ she smiles; she doesn't appear anxious about their current predicament. ] Then I guess we'll learn what it's like to follow a dragon together.
( GRAVEYARD GIRL. )

That's new.
no subject
He's a dog, isn't he? It's not new.
[ the dog doesn't do anything other than pant softly and twitch his ears. ]
no subject
( and she usually dotes attention on aleksander so the whole 'dog' thing is kind of strange. )
The name you gave him.
no subject
I call him 'dog' sometimes.
[ it reminds him of what he is! ]
no subject
( no, she doesn't. )
Is...cat somewhere around here too?
no subject
Vasilka's upstairs sleeping on your pillow again.
[ it looks like he's going to have to go and de-fur that thing later.
katherine turns back to the cupboard and stands on the tips of her toes. ] I may have encouraged it.

( BEWITCHED ROBOTS. )

[ okay, so, maybe she wants to pick on him just a little. ]
no subject
( he'd only done this because he was trying to be nice, see if it made her smile. he'd never dressed up for anything like this before. )
I feel like I look stupid.
no subject
[ as wanda smiles, she tries to bite her lips to prevent herself from smiling too widely. amos looks... all right. ]
You look like a very serious robot from space.
no subject
( but there was a lot of space unexplored. )
