( if you venture off to the FARTHER SHORES and where the sand greets with the sea, there is a long blue ponytail (no pigtails for once) haired girl sitting with her knees tucked in her chest. she is hugging them close with a few sparklers fizzing on each side of her. by the looks of them, it seemed they've been going for a little while and they are gradually reaching its end.

if/when you move closer, you will notice jinx isn't reacting to you approaching her; no glance, no greeting, not even a blink. the only thing moving on her is a pink tear trailing down her cheek. and while she is aware she is fully frozen like this, she isn't calling for help. because why would she? being trapped this way is something she deserved to have happen to her. it was just last month jinx was wondering why her curse was allowing her to have such wonderful things and with no punishments in sight.

and just like her jinx, it always knows when to sneak up on her when she least expected. she should had known better than to get too comfortable with this new life of hers. just because she is now in a new city, it doesn't mean this hex will come into a halt. she wandered off the path it has set for her and this is its way of reminding her.

family, friends, love, happiness... these are the four things she is not meant to have. and she needs to stop living in this fairytale of make believe and remain being the monster that she was created to be. people are wicked, people are cruel, people will use others for their own personal needs. and she needs to get rid of every single selfish person and tear down every single brick she comes across. rumor has it this place is about learning lessons -- well. maybe this is hers. )

( and how dare she live happily and normally after the damning thing she did to the man who raised her. it's purely disgusting. and a terrible daughter such as herself is meant to sit here solid until death... if that's possible and so she thinks. so jinx will say nothing -- accepting her fate and welcoming the dark with no light or colors to brighten her world. if sinking further down the well past powder will suffice for silco and her deed, she will do that. )

OPTION A. (BEFORE VI)

( it's trial and error time. what will lift this curse or better yet, how did this happen? better start thinking what would be a trench-like answer. maybe just chatting her up for a little while and keep her company until someone else comes up with a better idea.

just don't use this opportunity to rob her. she may be frozen but she is paying close attention to [YOUR CHARACTER] in case they needed to be hunted down later.)

OPTION B. (AFTER VI)

( with the waiting spell lifted, jinx is now free to move around like normal again. she part ways with her sister for now since she has a bit of catching up to do.

for starters, the girl heads off to:

1. PRUFROCK to work for a bit at her business. since she had been stuck on the beach, she will close up shop early than the establishment's business hours she set for it. but if you are need of a weapon, accessories, or want to talk shop, now it's the time to do so.

once she feels she had enough, jinx believes it's a good time to search for some food. so her next location will be 2. WILLFUL MACHINE. now the girl is behaving somewhat better since the last time she visited here for food. she really wanted to yank whatever food the trenchies had without so much of a pay, but this time... she'll pay. only for some of her meal, though. the other half, she scoops up without the person looking and hastily dashes off before getting caught.

the spot she chooses to chow down on her lunch/dinner is THE CANALS. this happens to be one of her favorite spots of all of trench. to sit above and watch all the busy folks build their boats or rent them for whatever adventure they wish to seek for. there's something peaceful about it -- hearing the murmurs of sleepers and trenchers down below. not to mention, the skies are lovely whenever the day falls into night. )

( finished with her meal, she heads off to the lamp to travel elsewhere. and during this excursion, she collects several roses from the snowy sidewalk as she makes her way to URSULA'S INK. but jinx never makes it there as she becomes distracted by the 3. SOMA building. and while the entire city is coated with the flowery aroma, there's still some foul blood lingering in the area. curiosity has the girl as she inches closer -- hearing the dreadful wails of someone in pure agony. just what is this place?

she attempts to make her way in, but the blood ministers forbid her. and one may even see her trying to peek into the foggy windows to see who are all inside and what is being done to them. maybe she should throw a rock? )

( jinx makes it somewhat home finally by approaching the CELLAR DOOR. but before she heads to the rookery/her treehouse, she b-lines to 4. EARWORM. and just like the two times she came to this place, the guards are giving her hell with letting her in. it really frustrates the girl seeing she's been in this club twice. jinx even tries to convince them with a "uh, hello? how can you not remember me?" flail but they're not at all budging.

well, there's only one solution to this predicament. unhooking her pistol from her belt, the girl twirls it along her index finger and aims it directly at the buffoons. this could get pretty ugly real quick. )

[the sparklers. that really twists the knife in - she reacts viscerally, immediately, is brought back to her own state of mind when jinx vanished that second time - the resolute, aching dread in her belly when she'd slept on the beach, waiting. waiting. waiting.

so the stillness isn't a surprise at first, but the closer she gets the more it feels off - in a new and unwelcome way. the sputterhiss as the little fireworks chug along, beckoning an oily squid with a malevolent horror of an eye that ...doesn't come.

the despair washes over violet in waves as she approaches - it sticks its sickened blade in her chest and elicits a ragged breath as she watches a glowing tear slide its way down an stricken, immobile face, all pain and sorrow and empty, empty stillness.]

No.

[softly repeating it before she turns her gaze seaward again, and takes a few steps past her statue of a sister, shouting out into the shore.]

Come back. Just get up, get out of the water and crawl up here, do I have to help you out? Is that what you want?!

[it's a raw anger that emanates now, but it's not directed at jinx. it's at silco. at the ocean. at herself.]

You want me to say I'm fucking sorry? I'm... [she isn't] ...I'll say it if that gets your ass back up here. We can deal with the fallout later.

( in her peripheral vision, she can spot her sister coming and well, feel her, too. and even with vi's presence, she doesn't speak but does she need to? there's nothing much to say that her voices aren't saying in her mind already. but the roar out to the city is new -- it's something she hadn't expected for her older sibling to do when she hates the man. and what's puzzling is her wanting to apologize. for what, exactly? it's not like she was the one who bailed on him the moment she laid her eyes on him.

if anything, vi was braver and was the bigger person by assisting him when he came. and what did jinx do? his daughter? freaked out, called him a hallucination, and ducked off to the crowd to leave the poor man behind. so in retrospect, she deserves this. silco deserved a better daughter, violet deserves a better sister, chizuru deserves a better partner, and her friends deserve a well-rounded friend. but she does wish she could move just a little bit because the hissing is right at the side of her head. it's piercing enough to give her goosebumps and not in a good way.

and when she mentally speaks, it's not to vi but to the voice:)

[ Chizuru doesn't look at her Omni, especially when there's no sign of a new message after she's tucked it away. Instead she heads towards the nearest lamp, and then using that to get over to the one she knows to be closest to the beach-- and then from there the girl just runs, out onto the sand, all the way until she can see the blue-haired form sitting there. And even then Chizuru runs until she's right next to Jinx, apparently having rushed over so quickly that Chizuru is panting, clearly out of breath. It's a small miracle the girl didn't just pass out from running way too hard on her way here - or maybe it's just the determination that kept her going.

It doesn't matter that her legs give out now though. She made it. Even though the situation isn't just magically solved, at least Chizuru made it all the way out to the beach, at least she made it to Jinx's side.

Even though it's becoming rapidly obvious what the other girl meant by saying that she was frozen. Jinx isn't moving at all, is she. ]

Jinx..? I-- um, this--

[ Chizuru tries to speak, though her words are interrupted by heavy breaths, apparently still haven't fully regained her breath from running. Her chest rapidly moves up and down as she tries to suck in air. ]

A-Are you alright..? Does it hurt..?

( despite her eyes looking straight forward into the ocean, she can kinda see chizuru through her peripheral vision. and she can still hear the other clear as day, so that's also good. on her omni, there will be a ding sound coming through -- a message waiting for her. the message will be from un: bombshell that says: )

u KNOW im stuck here right? i wasnt going to go anywhere. u didnt need to run, dummy. ❤️

( funny how she can throw an emoji by just thinking it. but she threw that in along with her message. on the off chance she might take what she said out of context. )

❝Hi! My name is Powder❞ Criminally insane, Jinx Powder has a love for wanton chaos, destruction, and anarchy, and gets easily bored if these reckless urges are left unsatisfied for too long. Jinx Powder isn't shown to think much about the consequences of her behavior and generally acts before thinking, which can lead to people getting hurt easily when around Jinx Powder. While she is clearly a gifted inventor, Jinx Powder is also extremely scatterbrained, forgetting scientific terms and instead imitating gun noises while she constructs her weapons. Jinx Powder is often portrayed to be hyperactive and very childish, complaining when she doesn't get what she wants and calling others by immature names. With her carefree, self-centered attitude, Jinx Powder doesn't care about money, order, or what others think about her and just destroys what she wants when she wants. Despite this, she still likes to get recognition for her many crimes and is capable of showing off to the authorities, knowing that no matter what goes down, she will always get away. (there's someone screaming in pure rage a little ways from [YOUR CHARACTER]. maybe you know her, maybe you don't, but she is aggressively trying to rip something off her shirt. it's hard to make out what exactly, but it's definitely showing she is getting very little success with whatever it is. the color of her locks are twisting back and forth between her ordinary blue to crimson. and when she takes a sharp look to [YOUR CHARACTER] over her shoulder, there's a misty yet ghoulish glow to her eye. there also seems to be a purple horn breaking through the skin of her forehead; her blood oozing and trickling down her face.

it looks like this girl is showing signs of corruption or right in the middle of it. and with [YOUR CHARACTER] watching, it makes her bare her teeth in a growl, then sends a jab at the nearest wall to her. but one punch isn't enough for her, there's another and another -- each throw harder than the last. and she'll keep at it, even if her knuckles become bruised and bloody. what has this girl so upset and flying off the handle like this? whatever it is if she doesn't calm down soon, we all might be in trouble. )

(so thanks to whoever calmed her down when she got here, jinx seems to be back to her normal self for the most part (maybe a miniature horn with the blood still on her forehead). but just because she appears repose doesn't mean she truly is. there's still a sour look on her face as she leans back in her chair; balancing herself on its hind legs. her own legs are prop up and crossed on the table while obnoxiously hitting the button with the heel of her boot repeatedly.

her arms are intertwine tight over her chest -- resuming on to keep her nametag shield away (although the omni gives away the true name of this girl, anyway) from anyone who dares to peek. with a girl having such a bad attitude, would you even bother and try to get to know her? it might be a waste of your time. or maybe you can be the one who can twist that frown upside down? if not that, maybe you can get her to quit being a bitch with the constant button pressing. it's getting loud and annoying.)

[ When one of her hands is pulled back to strike again, another suddenly grabs it, a firm but cold grip around her wrist. Xuan doesn't know how he got here, has barely had time to read any of the information and has little interest in making the effort beside, but he has no plans to simply watch the girl opposite him destroy herself.

He's strong — even with his powers at home weakened by the blood, it's easy for even a human level cultivator to extend his qi to make his grip fierce as an iron shackle. He also won't flinch if she turns her attacks on him, as pain means little to him after so many years of it. His dark eyes are cold, and the sucking black hole of his disregard does the opposite of most Paleblood powers as it accepts her emotions hungrily, any wild feelings she might have likely to be slowly siphoned away the longer she's in his presence. It won't eat her corruption, and it won't work immediately, but it could perhaps calm her down a little, similar to the way her sister might try with their bond. ]

( there's a slight surprising jolt when she feels some unknown force holding back her fist. and when she turns to look over her shoulder sharply, her body stiffens. the teen isn't sure why exactly, but when her one pink and one phantom eyes are lock to the shadows of his, everything is being put on a stand still. and does this stranger have a death wish? it's pretty possible and despite it all, the anger look on her face remains: )

Let. go. of me. — I'm in no mood to entertain nobodies.

( and when she says this, jinx makes sure there's vemon swirling with each little syllable she hits. )

[ Apparently Chizuru is - at the moment - not focusing on the speed dating aspect of this at all. The moment she's shifted into a room with Jinx after just having spoken to someone else, the questions and profiles and everything else slides out of her mind virtually instantaneously.

Even the way her Omni pings as it receives Jinx's profile - and sends Chizuru's own to the other girl's Omni - goes completely unnoticed.

Instead she just stares at Jinx, her eyes wide and clearly worried. ]

W-What happened? [ It's because of that horn, of course. It may be small, but it's visible enough, and Chizuru has absolutely no idea what could have triggered that sort of thing in a place like this, without any visible threats.

Who cares about the speed dating when she's way too busy being worried about the other? ]

[She wakes up sitting on a couch that is a lot more comfortable than she expected, even if it is a little on the small side. Oh, right. This again. She looks around the room and sees the table with the two chairs and who is sitting there. Well...this is going to be interesting.

She doesn't even bother looking at the omni this time because she's not sure if she wants to know what it says. Jinx is kind a lot all by herself without someone making jokes about it. At least she assumes it'll be a joke. Everyone else's has been so far.

She pushes herself to her feet with her right hand on the arm of the couch. Maybe she should be a bit more concerned about being one-armed around Jinx, but she seems grumpy and defensive--all that body language does not say she wants to be here--but not...violent. Fine, yeah. This'll be Fine.]

[sansa glances up, and oh, it's jinx. there's a strong enough smell of corruption coming from her that lady whines and sansa frowns. the nametag on sansa's chest is an illegible palimpsest, someone seems to have written 'alayne stone' on top of 'sansa stark' and then written 'sansa stark' again on top of that. neither sansa or lady appear very worried about it.]

Oh, hallo Jinx.

[sansa's omni crystal is still on the table in front of her. she taps it and frowns at the blurb accompanying jinx.]

She isn't a force of evil; she's done what she's had to do to survive. Perhaps she's made mistakes, but it's very hard to know what's best to do when a lot of people want you dead. We can't all come from gentle worlds where no one ever has to kill anyone.

[who wrote this, anyway? sansa looks around the room, as if they might be lurking somewhere. she decides it was probably the doorway; anyone who has loved the reckoning for so long is bound to have adopted something of her worldview.

Maul didn't usually manipulate people's bodies with the Force given his own issues with having that done to him over the course of his life but he'd do it right now considering how annoyed he was. His own little bio was a thing of beauty to behold, though he felt embarrassed as all get-out because of it.]

Hello. [ Someone who's somewhat familiar, at least. Even if she doesn't know the blue-haired girl particularly well. And the way she hugs her arms close to her chest, obscuring the tag as best she can isn't lost on Luna. She frowns, mouth forming a thin line for a moment. ]
