Where: Anywhere in Trench; Shen Yuan can most frequently be found near the Archives or his own home in Gaze, meditating under the guardian tree in Sanctuary, or wherever Outreach is providing assistance to the people of Trench.

Mob's tried to help where he could, once he felt a little more capable of leaving the house. To be fair a few of the locals know it was him so he tries to keep his head down, not upset them or cause problems. It's a delicate situation, one he has very little idea how to handle aside from trying to take responsibility as best he can.

Which is why he quite literally bumps into someone as he's walking with his head down. He's only fourteen and kind of small for his age regardless so thankfully it's unlikely he knocked poor Shen Yuan over, but he will blink and immediately offer, "Ah, I'm sorry..."

Luckily Shen Yuan isn't inclined to take offense, especially after he turns around and discovers that the person who so suddenly bumped into him is just a confused-looking kid. "Hey -- hey, it's okay little brother," he says with a quiet laugh, putting his hand on the kid's shoulder and giving him a very gentle shake to put the sorries on hold. "No harm done, right? Are you okay, though?"

He leans a little closer, trying to put his finger on what about the kid seems so...odd. He doesn't have a concussion, does he? "Are you lost?" he asks kindly.

Ah, good, he didn't cause any trouble it seems. People in the Trench have mostly been very friendly so he's not that surprised, offering a little bow of his head to top off his apology before finishing it with a nod. No harm done, that's true.

A little funny to say that surrounded by all the very much harm done ages ago.

"Oh, no I-" A quick glance around. "I wanted to help with cleaning up." Since this is his mess and all. "Are you here for that too?"

"I am," Shen Yuan affirms, still smiling gently. "Actually I'm helping coordinate a group of volunteers with construction experience --" He points out a few of the other members of Outreach working nearby, two clearing away rubble while a third puts in a new fence for someone's garden. "-- would you like to join us? We can always use another set of hands."
