( He's still half-expecting the other teen to whip out that bat again — which would be doubly hazardous, considering they're both invisible now. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like the other guy gets mad about the whap, though Peter's hands are up in the air for a moment, defensively. ...Even though, unbeknownst to him, he isn't exactly facing Stiles all the way, aimed a bit too far to the left of where he's standing. Being Mutually Invisible really is tough.

When he speaks up again, Peter's head jerks the right way as he introduces himself as Stiles, and the other teen blinks dumbly for a moment. Oh— )

Thanks. I'm uh— I'm Peter. ( It'd be really stupid to try for a handshake right now, wouldn't it. Instead, Peter offers a soft laugh, a mix of awkward and relieved. )

Maybe to avoid any more uh, collisions, we could take stuff from two different stalls and then meet up again here....

[Stiles raises both brows at that suggestion, considering for a moment. Then he pulls his bat back into his hand and places it on the ground where he thinks is between them and starts to scrape a mark in the cobbled street.]

Not a bad idea, Pete. You stay on that side of the line when you get back and I'll stay on this side. And it looks like my bat's invisible too, so with any luck it'll transfer to whatever we take too. If you get caught just yell and I'll come with the cavalry... the cavalry being my bat.
