[Luz had no choice but to keep in mind that people here, especially adults, wanted to protect her. She understood that well enough, but protection could sometimes lead to underestimation, and there was nothing Luz hated more than people thinking she couldn't make a difference.

Being a witch, being able to cast her own glyphs and now managing these strange new powers, took hard work and required every ounce of strength and smarts and practice that she could muster. She wasn't ever going to let herself be brought down by simply being told something was impossible].

If you ever want to talk to me, flag me down or send me a message! I'll always try to make time for my friends, and you can count on that. I can't imagine the kind of stuff you're going through, but I can at least try and give my all to help you.

[It would be tricky, and Luz knew she was going to have to kick her studious genes into high gear, something that she used to have trouble with in the past. She'd have to do everything in her power to look through archives and find out about what was possible in this world].

Then I'll have to prepare for that. It wouldn't be the first time I talked to someone who could cause me harm if they really wanted to.

I can't imagine a lot of people aren't freaked out by this place. It's real different from what we knew at Deerington. We still have to learn how everything works, what the rules are and what we should probably not do. That'll take time.
