"Huh. That's not how it works at home," he doesn't know if that sounds better, or worse. "The knights catch you committing a crime, they throw you in a cell. No court or judge or anything."

He laughs, turning the corner, with an eye out for any other ghosts. "Yeah, well. The guy was living in the hospital. Couldn't let that stand." Yuri glances at her with a quirk of a smile. "You got a place, right?"

[lightinside]

"That doesn't seem fair, but I guess I can't change how your world works." She learned that everyone deserved a fair trial, no matter what the crime was.

Laurel makes a face. "Yeah. I wouldn't want to live in a hospital either." Then she smiles at him. "Temporarily living with my sister until I find a place of my own. Speaking of which, I should probably get back to her before she sends out a search party." A pause. "Thanks for your help again, Yuri."

[vibing]

"Think I should be the one thanking you," Yuri waves his hand vaguely in the air, smiling at her. "If I get in trouble, hell, now I'm friends with a lawyer. See you around, Laurel."
