For Illarion - Just Your Friendly Neighborhood Deku
He'd introduced himself by his screen name, which was also his hero name: Deku. However, when he sends a text saying he's here, he's off-duty in his civvies: warm puffy jacket, colorful scarf, gloves, and snow boots. His freckled cheeks are pink with cold.
this month, i AM the mushroom
In the end, though, trust won out. Deku's message is met with an unsigned acknowledgement that arrives nearly as its sender does--a black-clad solemn figure striding through the snow to their rendezvous. Illarion stops at a respectful distance away, head canted a little to one side as he appears to study the young man (is studying him, though not by sight).
"Well met, Deku."
Re: this month, i AM the mushroom
"Good morning..." There's an awkward pause where his name should be, but he quickly presses on to the next sentence with a shy smile. "How are you feeling today?"
This must be him.

"Well enough." Not very much, if he's fully truthful, but that's also baseline. He is not particularly corrupted at least, though one might be forgiven for not knowing how to assess that with someone so inhuman. So, he clarifies (obliquely, naturally):
"We have been granted a kinder month for once, it is seeming. How does it find you?"

Everyone's corruption looks a little different, so Midoriya is only inclined to look for symptoms if someone seems to be in poor health, or if he's seen someone more than once and knows what they normally look like. As for Midoriya, though he looks like an ordinary human, he's used to people with Quirks that give them horns, extra limbs, or just generally unsettling appearances. Pointy ears and sharp teeth are pretty normal, though Midoriya does wonder if Illarion needs some chapstick. Winter can be tough on the skin. Midoriya has had to put more stuff on his new scars than usual.
"I had to get warm clothes. I didn't know we got this much snow here, but it's great for snowball fights."
The weather. He's talking about the weather. What a boring guy... He could have tried to ask this person his name, but he's not inclined to press people. He holds out the tote with carefully wrapped bunches of mushrooms. The ones that need processing to render them safe have been done so.
"Uh, these are what I could get. I've separated them by variety and put notes."
They're written in Japanese. Hopefully the magic that somehow translates text messages works here too. Otherwise, best of luck. There is the occasional poorly-drawn visual aid. They are thankfully a step above stick figures.

"Do you know, I find myself missing the cold now and again." While...standing right there in the snow, he says this. His hooded greatcoat surely looks like proof against some of the chill, not all; it's not even really heavy enough for the weather. "There is a pleasure in coming in out of it."
He reaches to take the tote as it's offered, though there's a moment of hesitation right before he grasps it--a moment of angling his head to one side, like a bird eyeing a worm. "Thank you for this. I will make good use of them, and perhaps have the sense to harvest more of my own, this coming year."

He knows most neighborhoods well, having patrolled them for months. He watches this person seem to ponder the bag with interest. Maybe he has a keen sense of smell? Midoriya hesitates, but it's related to why he's here in the first place, so he asks:
"Did you find the answer to your question? About Corruption and your senses?"
