[ so after much waffling and discussion with fakir, ahiru finally came to the conclusion that she needs to tell her friends the truth. well . . . her house mates at least. she wasn't going to go around blabbing it to everyone. she wasn't quite ready for that.

but if there's one thing this place has taught her, it's not safe to keep her secret all to herself. ahiru needed people in her corner and she believed her house-mates would protect her.

and hopefully . . . not too much will change. she hopes. ]

Uhm, I'm glad you're all here. I have something important to tell you guys. I've been keeping a secret.

Not like a big secret or a dark secret, but more like a secret about me. A personal, kind of weird, don't freak out sort of secret.

[ she scuttles off luz and heads towards the bathroom. after a few muffled sounds, ahiru runs back into the room, panting a little. ]

But now it makes sense why Fakir wanted to protect you! Otherwise it just seemed like some duck from his world had wandered into here!

Yeah, Fakir is the only person from my world who knows my secret.

So, uh, don't tell anyone else.

Why would I? That's your secret, right?

I mean, granted, it might be a good idea to let some people know so they don't try and cook a duck they randomly find one day, though.

[ ahiru isn't sure it won't make things weird. that she'll stop being ahiru and just . . . a duck. and she's afraid of that still. ]

And that's why I'm telling you all. It got a little scary when I was a duck.

[They were a house of pets and people and everything inbetween, after all].

They were all . . . being weird. Like they were affected by some magic.

But that happens every month, Ahiru.

There's always some weird magical thing that's happening.

I mean, I know that but I didn't think I was going to get hunted in a forest . . .

What? Who was hunting you?

[No names huh? Guess that person gets to live another day...without getting harassed by Luz anyway].

No, they hunted me as a girl.

But as a duck, I can't really . . . talk to people. So I got picked up a lot and it was difficult to get away.

That's even worse! Of course, that was the whole "argh, blood versus blood" month, so that's not surprising. Honestly, nothing is surprising me these days. Just exhausting me.

Oh. Right! Uh. I'm sorry about that. I really, really like animals and you were and are super cute so...yeah.

It's okay! I'm not mad or anything.

That's why I'm telling you all. So you could help me if something goes wrong.
