[He's swimming low in the depths, hard to see and he's fast in the water. He can tell he's pissed Maul off and he knows that his two options are to leave now or continue hunting and risk getting caught. His memories are hazy and different but similar, he knows who Maul is, and has had contentious interactions, but for this version of Lance, that 3 day fight never happened.

His feral hunter instinct wins out and he swims fast as a bullet in an arc low on the bottom, and then comes up faster than a speeding bullet behind him to… yes, he is aiming to sink rows of razor sharp teeth into Maul's calf.]

[Maul is still trying to peer into the water when Lance comes out of the water much faster than he would have anticipated. He's still turning to deal with this new threat when Lance bites down on his calf. One of them is about to be in major pain....but it's not going to be Maul given his legs are metal. Lance is gonna have some sore teeth after he chomps down.

Maul's running on instinct and he reaches out blindly with the Force, trying to hold the being attacking him with the Dark Side before they can disappear again. Whatever or whoever is attacking him seems to have some form of intelligence and so he wants to figure out why they are doing so.]

[It's a good thing his teeth are tough as nails and designed to bite through the bones of large alien sea life. Still, it has his skull ringing when what he bites is metal. Maul may find later there's some bite dents in his leg.

Immediately, he lets go and drops back in the water, but then he feels the force grab his waist and lift. A feral and loud hiss escapes his mouth and all his fins the ones on the side of his head and along his tail, flare in a threat display. Then immediately, that very long tail is whipping out to wrap around Maul's chest and neck and squeezing hard.]

[This creature is definitely the kind of being Maul can appreciate: feral and willing to bite, just like the Sith Lord himself. He isn't expecting to suddenly start getting choked by this mystery being. He's on the verge of retaliating when he sees this creature's face. Was that....Lance? The surprise of seeing his face is enough to get Maul to fling the merman back down into the water with the Force.

He peers down after him.]

Don't do that again.

[He says in a low warning growl. He's not going to nearly be so merciful a second time.]

[He's so startled by being thrown back into the water like that, his tail goes limp and uncoils from around Maul. He sits under the water, having heard that warning and sort of sulks, contemplating his options. Then after a minute or two, he slowly rises to the surface and only his eyes are visible above the water as he watches Maul like a leery predator.

Then a webbed and clawed middle finger slowly follows nearby.]

[Maul looks very unamused. Really, what is his life that he's come to this moment? He doesn't even know anymore. But he stares down at Lance with unmitigated anger and hate in his eyes.]

Really? You tried to attack and bite me and yet now you're the one choosing to be offended?

[Bubbles get blown into the water and come up in front of his nose as he squints at him. It's all got a very feral edge to it, like these kinds of details don't really mean much to him, an animal just looking for a meal. Then he lifts up enough to reply, tilting his head.]

You owe me lunch.

[Maul just glares at Lance with a deep scowl on his face.]

The only thing I owe you is a kick in the head so hard you’ll be spitting out teeth afterwards.

[Lance rises more out of the water, revealing more scales and gills and webbed ears. His mouth is in a pouty frown.]

My teeth are indestructible! I even ate a leviathan last week, d'you know how tough their skin is??

[As he talks, Maul will see that his teeth are all pointed and might even have venomous qualities.]

So what I'm hearing is I should fetch you the most disgusting monster corpse in the city and dump it in the water for you.

[Maul's definitely not feeling cooperative after getting attacked.]

Ew, no! Not if it's dead! [He crosses his arms petulantly.] Live meat, or none at all.

Tch, picky, picky, picky.

[Maul almost rolls his eyes at that.]

Fine, I'll give you the most disgusting live monster in the city as a snack.

[He seems to be considering this with a tilt of his head. Then he sinks under the water…

Only to pop back up again right in front of Maul with a wide, feral grin. He's holding himself up on the dock with his hands and his long fish tail is practically wagging.]

Really? I always wanted to know what the land leviathans taste like. [Then he tilts his head.] Are you all metal by the way?

Fine. I shall find you one. Whether or not you can actually kill and eat it is completely up to you. [He's mainly doing this because he's now interested in what it would be like to watch a feral merman!Lance attack one of the monsters in the city.]

Half metal. [Maul corrects. He doesn't think Lance will get any ideas about trying to bite down into him again but he's been wrong before about the intelligence level of the boy before.]
