You say I'm bleeding? | Open
Who: Luca and you!
What: Luca dealing with various levels of corruption. There's a prompt for him just being super corrupted after he literally eats handfuls of candy (and he also has amnesia, animal parts, paranoia, and is singing, just pretend the linked song is being sung by a thirteen year old boy), and also a prompt for him after he goes into beast mode.
When: The high corruption candy Luca is in the first half of the month, the beast mode is mid month
Where: Either prompt can be anywhere as long as it's outside
Content Warnings: Self harm, blood, strong language being used by a child (in the linked song)
The Chocolatier - OTA
Luca has a sweet tooth. It's not usually an issue, since he likes plenty of healthy foods as well and balances candy with balanced meals, but he definitely does enjoy sweets. So when a strange creature comes to him and offers him the most amazing chocolate he's ever smelled, and all he has to do is bleed? Well, Luca just had to take him up on the offer. Enthusiastically.
He ends up with a very decent amount of chocolate, too. It's only fair after Luca found a sharp rock and used it to open both palms so he could bleed and bleed for the Chocolatier. Anyone who saw him now would see he's still bleeding, but too far gone from corruption to notice or care.
His intent hadn't originally been to eat all the candy himself, and someone might notice that he's set eight pieces of candy aside, having mentally told himself who each piece would go to. Right in front of him, however, is a small pile that's all that's left of what he picked for himself, as he's already eaten quite a few pieces, and it shows. He's grown bat wings and a snake tail from the candy, though the truffle and coconut chocolate had left their own physical mark on him as well, as the confusion from the amnesia and the paranoia had intermingled to push him farther into corruption, leaving him with claws, sharp teeth and slit pupils.
And then there was the singing, because of course he ate some of the almond candy, and of course as he desperately tries to reach for what little he remembers, the only memory he's able to grasp is one of Charlie teaching him curse words.
The Serpent - OTA
Though the candy has worn off by now, it's left it's mark. The hours spent being paranoid and confused had brought him into the depths of corruption, and while his mind had returned from the effects of the candy, the madness that had seeped into his mind was not so easy to shake. Maybe he'd have teetered over the edge on his own. Maybe he'd have pulled himself back, bit by bit. 'Maybe' didn't matter, though, because it's when he feels Luz's mind sinking into beasthood that he looses his last thread of humanity.
"Luz!" he calls out, the familial bond between them letting him feel exactly what's happening. "Luz, don't worry, I'll keep you safe!"
And with that thought, he races through the streets, green scales spreading along his skin, blue fins racing down his back, and before long, a massive serpent is slithering down the street.

Like the memory of a boy talking to her. A boy who hadn't been just a boy. Maybe it's the latter fact that made that encounter actually linger a little in her memory, it stood out too much to forget.
And when she notices the same boy now on the street, she recognizes him, realising it's the same guy she spoke to. She's not sure if he'll even recognize her, since she is a lot older now, even if her hairstyle is basically the same - but that's not the part that matters. What matters is that he's looking off. Not in the way he had as a monster back then - but off in a different way. Does he have multiple forms?
.. Ange isn't sure, but she's just slightly worried enough to approach the singing boy. Not that the worry shows on her face, mind you, since she is the queen of pokerfaces, but it does exist deep down.
"Hey. Is.. everything alright here?"
You know, just a random person asking that. Totally normal, right.
no subject
He answers, continuing to sing. "Why are you asking? I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine. What do you really want? It's mine, it's mine, it's mine."
no subject
That's the part that stands out to Ange. The fact he doesn't recognize her isn't so weird - after all, it's not like she's looking exactly the same as she did when she was younger, there are some differences. And who would just suddenly believe that the six year old they spoke with was now suddenly an adult?
So when that doesn't stand out to her, it's the other thing he says. Her gaze falls on the box, realising that he must be refering to that, but that still doesn't fully clear up her confusion.
"I mean, sure. It is." She says it so casually, like there's no doubt about that fact in her mind. "It's not like I want to take it."
Please, why would Ange just randomly steal something from a kid?
no subject
"You might. This is very special chocolate."
The effects of the chocolate that had been making him sing seems to be fading at this point, since he'd eaten that one early on. Thankfully, he's able to talk normally now. Well, as normally as one could claim his paranoid ramblings were. He reaches for another chocolate, popping it into his mouth. Horns grow on his head.
"There's...something. I forget how I got it. But I know I had to do something to get it..."
He looks at his bleeding hands. Green blood with little red swirls mixed in. That had something to do with it he's sure, but he can't quite recall.
"But if you don't want the chocolate, then why are you here?"
no subject
In the end she decides that it's probably for the best to be at least a little serious here - especially since the other seems so weirdly suspicious of everything else right now.
"I was worried about you."
Ange manages to say it in her usual casual flat tone, almost devoid of emotion - it's the only way she can tell herself that it's okay to use the w-word so openly here.
"I mean.." She points at his horns. "You don't have those normally, do you?" (Of course not, she just saw them grow - but she's trying to make him aware of that fact as well.)
".. and you're bleeding."
no subject
He reaches up and touches one of the horns, then pauses, thinking.
"Yeah, that's new...I'm pretty sure I don't remember ever having these before..."
And yet he sounds like he does have some doubt, like maybe he has and simply forgot. Then, when the bleeding was mentioned, he cocks his head, then looks at his hand.
"Oh. That. It's fine. There was...something...I think something asked me to bleed?" he says as he struggles to pull the memory back up.
no subject
Ange pauses too for a moment, her brain quickly working inside of her head to process everything she's hearing here. Thankfully the information he's providing her with makes it a whole lot easier to just ignore the initial question, since Ange would love to never have to publically answer that one, thanks.
"Something asked you?" That's what's mainly preoccupying her thoughts. If something asked for his blood, then it could very easily be influencing Luca right now.. "Do you remember what or who it was?"
no subject
And maybe if he hadn't been influenced by the strange aura around the Chocolatier he'd realize how flawed his logic was, but as things are, he doesn't.
no subject
Whatever that thing was, it's really got to have some influence over him here. Concerningly so, though Ange at the same time has absolutely no idea how to help get rid of it.
"Is that.. when you got these?"
She points at the claws on his hands.
Ange is mostly trying to gently nudge his brain along. To help him realise that something is wrong with him - no, with this entire situation.

However, once the singing reaches a certain point, Zib's antenna flatten against his head, not particularly enthused by the choice in song. Maybe he should consider that his cue to carefully step in and say something rather than continuing to observe.]
Uh, hey, Luca?

"Who are you? How do you know my name? What do you want and what is your game?"
no subject
It's me, Dib? You know, your friend? ... The guy with the alien spaceship?
no subject
Space...ship? I don't remember that. I don't remember you. I don't remember any friends, actually.

[He pauses, thinking about it. After all the chocolate he ate, he doesn't remember much.]
I remember that this device lets me talk to people. [He holds up the Omni.] I remember someone teaching me new words on it. I remember getting my chocolate.
no subject
[Better than nothing, right?]
Do you remember who it was that was teaching you words on it? Or who gave you the chocolate?
no subject
[He looks at the chocolate.]
I remember where I got this, though. A creature appeared and offered it. I'm not sure what it was, but it had antlers and teeth and hands. Lots and lots of hands.

He stands and watches Luca sing with a cringe and a mildly disturbed and definitely concerned look, "Uh, Luca? You doing alright there?"

"Who are you? How do you know my name?"

"We met a few weeks ago. At the docks?"
no subject
"Docks? I don't remember any docks."
Which is particularly concerning, because even if he doesn't remember Lance, he should remember the docks. He's spent enough time there while hanging out by the water. Now, though? He doesn't remember any docks. At all.
no subject
"What do you remember?"
no subject
Two completely unrelated things, but two things he could, in fact, remember.
