Who: Luca and you!
What: Luca dealing with various levels of corruption. There's a prompt for him just being super corrupted after he literally eats handfuls of candy (and he also has amnesia, animal parts, paranoia, and is singing, just pretend the linked song is being sung by a thirteen year old boy), and also a prompt for him after he goes into beast mode.
When: The high corruption candy Luca is in the first half of the month, the beast mode is mid month
Where: Either prompt can be anywhere as long as it's outside

The Chocolatier - OTA
Luca has a sweet tooth. It's not usually an issue, since he likes plenty of healthy foods as well and balances candy with balanced meals, but he definitely does enjoy sweets. So when a strange creature comes to him and offers him the most amazing chocolate he's ever smelled, and all he has to do is bleed? Well, Luca just had to take him up on the offer. Enthusiastically.

He ends up with a very decent amount of chocolate, too. It's only fair after Luca found a sharp rock and used it to open both palms so he could bleed and bleed for the Chocolatier. Anyone who saw him now would see he's still bleeding, but too far gone from corruption to notice or care.

His intent hadn't originally been to eat all the candy himself, and someone might notice that he's set eight pieces of candy aside, having mentally told himself who each piece would go to. Right in front of him, however, is a small pile that's all that's left of what he picked for himself, as he's already eaten quite a few pieces, and it shows. He's grown bat wings and a snake tail from the candy, though the truffle and coconut chocolate had left their own physical mark on him as well, as the confusion from the amnesia and the paranoia had intermingled to push him farther into corruption, leaving him with claws, sharp teeth and slit pupils.

And then there was the singing, because of course he ate some of the almond candy, and of course as he desperately tries to reach for what little he remembers, the only memory he's able to grasp is one of Charlie teaching him curse words.

The Serpent - OTA
Though the candy has worn off by now, it's left it's mark. The hours spent being paranoid and confused had brought him into the depths of corruption, and while his mind had returned from the effects of the candy, the madness that had seeped into his mind was not so easy to shake. Maybe he'd have teetered over the edge on his own. Maybe he'd have pulled himself back, bit by bit. 'Maybe' didn't matter, though, because it's when he feels Luz's mind sinking into beasthood that he looses his last thread of humanity.

"Luz!" he calls out, the familial bond between them letting him feel exactly what's happening. "Luz, don't worry, I'll keep you safe!"

And with that thought, he races through the streets, green scales spreading along his skin, blue fins racing down his back, and before long, a massive serpent is slithering down the street.

Oh no, he knows that paranoia on sight and he can also feel it coming off of him. Can he manage to do damage control? He's not sure, he's barely himself as it is, but he's going to try. He shakes his head.

"Forgetting can happen sometimes, it'll come back to you. I helped my friend remember some stuff by taking him places he'd been to. I can show you the ocean if you want, you lived in one once."

The ocean? Even with his memory messed up, there's something...comfortable about the thought of going to the ocean.

"Yeah, I want to go to the ocean."

He lets out a small breath he had not realized he was holding and smiles slightly. Then he gestures for Luca to follow him as he starts heading in the direction of a lamp to take them.

"Alright. C'mon, it's not far."

Luca nods and follows him, his natural instinct to want to know where the ocean is guiding him even if his memories weren't clear.

Well this is an awkward silence, and Lance is kind of slowed on how to fill it due to corruption. After a long moment, he looks over to Luca, "So uh… can you fly with those?"

He pauses, turning to look at an outstretched wing like he's forgotten it's there.

"Huh. I don't know."

And then he flaps them. It's not quick and it's not graceful, but he does manage to lift himself off the ground.

Lance pushes his expression to smile a bit more, to try and inject some positivity into the heavy concern of this whole encounter.

"Hey, there you go. That's pretty cool."

"Wow! It's like swimming in air! But harder."

He then carefully lowers himself back to the ground. It takes a lot of effort, after all, since he's not used to it.

"That's because you're working against gravity."

Maybe Luca knows about gravity already, but the kid's forgotten a hell of a lot, so maybe talking about it will jog something. Clearly, that also pulled up some association with swimming.

"You remember anything about swimming in water?"

He asks that, and while before he hadn't quite remembered being the ocean, there had been an association when he flew. And that association grows stronger now that he thinks about it. Luca closes his eyes, and for a split second there's a mental image of him effortlessly gliding through water.

"Yeah. I remember...I remember having a tail. A different tail. And fins."

Lance nods as they reach the lamp and he stops next to it, turning to respond before getting into traveling.

"That's 'cause you're a fish person. It's probably still too cold for you to swim when we get there, but you can splash a bit and see," he looks to the lamp, "do you remember how to use this?"

Luca stares blankly at the lamp, then shakes his head.

"No idea."

"Alright, well I'll just take us through at the same time, then."

With that, he reaches out a hand for Luca to take. He doesn't like using the lamp with other people because it feels like any second the things could pull a 'Fly' on him. That definitely seems like something that would happen around here. But it hasn't happened yet, so what does he know? The way Luca looks, it seems like just getting to the ocean is more important.

That's probably for the best, considering Luca's increasing corruption. Luca takes Lance's hand, waiting to be transported to the ocean.

It takes just a second and then they are on the boardwalk by the lamp there. The area is mostly deserted, it looks like, but the ocean waves are clear in the distance.

"Well, here we are. Getting any familiar feelings?"

He walks closer to the ocean. There's a flash of a memory. Of being on a beach, and looking around at the world in wonder, amazed at seeing how things look from above the water's surface.

"I...I think so. I think I'm remembering seeing this for the first time. From this angle, I mean. Like...seeing the ocean without being in it."
