Wandering aimlessly | wherever you want to bump into her | ota
The mourning gown set she wore seemed impossibly heavy as she made her way through the foreign streets, hood up to keep attention away from her. There was the small, saving grace that it was cold here and at least her gown was warm... well, warmer than the garment that came with the red bag that held her belongings.
All she really wants right now is to get a lay of the land, so to speak. She can be found in several of the districts, watching people to see how to use the lamp locations to travel and keeping a close eye on the vibe of each district. She'd need shelter soon, but she needs a drink or twenty first.
Even with as careful as she tries to be, something inevitably distracts her and she bumps into someone hard enough to shift her hood back just enough to keep her face from being obscured.
"Sorry-" the apology is quick as she steps back, hoping that her eyes or cheeks aren't too red from the random waves of crying she's been dealing with since arriving. If she'd been back home, she could have easily distracted herself... she'd been planning on it, wanting to get to the bottom of her friend's death. Here she could only wander aimlessly, remain unassuming, and allow those she meets to underestimate her.
"I should've been paying closer attention to where I was walking."

"Sorry, sorry," he says, immediately too, and then does a small, but probably noticeable double-take. He's already made the mistake of calling Ariadne Padme, so he just quickly reaches a little through the Force to try to get the general shape of this person's presence.
Not Ariadne. Not Padme, either, he's confident. After living about half a year in the same complex of buildings, he know her presence pretty well.
"Hey are you ok?" he asks, brow furrowed.

"It's nothing- I'm just a little overwhelmed," she answers briefly, which wasn't really a lie. Everything about this place is overwhelming... it's just not a problem for her.

It's not that she wouldn't also offer her help to someone overwhelmed and new somewhere, but she certainly wouldn't offer it so quickly... and that's on her overwhelming distrust of people.

"I don't believe," he says, slowly, after a second or so, "That compassion should be reserved for people we know personally. That's not what my parents or my adoptive family taught me."
no subject
To be perfectly fair, she's not entirely sure how she meant it. She's held compassion for many that she hasn't known- but perhaps with recent events back home she's already closed in on herself more.
"I don't want to impose on your kindness- but I also don't even know what kind of help to ask for."

I lost this one...let's go one or two more at least?
Chocolatier Event Prompt
The creature offering chocolate would have been one Sabé would have normally avoided- but she felt drawn to them in a way that was hard for her to resist. Nothing about this in the time she encountered them gave her the desire to flee- and with as distraught as she remained here, she was more than happy to indulge in a larger selection of the sweets than she might have otherwise.
a. When the Naboo spy indulged in the white chocolate variety she didn't expect to feel just a little more open to meeting people... or rather, the first person she saw after swallowing the treat. She still didn't feel like smiling, but perhaps she looked just a little less surly than she had merely moments before.
"Have you tried these yet?" A pause before she adds: "Would you like one?"
b. The flavor that was, perhaps, the most irresistible to her, however, was the strawberry. The scent reminded her of the fresh berries from back home and the delicacies she and the other girls would enjoy when it was just them and Padmé.
Sabé was always careful to guard her emotions, something she had to be disciplined in since she started to work for Padmé. Unfortunately, this flavor of chocolate had something else in mind for her- but one that she wouldn't notice without prompt as she was still too wrapped up in her own thoughts to really pay much attention elsewhere. She'd found somewhere relatively quiet to escape to, though she hadn't paid any attention to where it was exactly- and though she seemed to just be mindlessly scrolling through the device in her hands, there was a strong blue aura radiating from around her.
A.
Oh. WOW. She was GORGEOUS. Give her a second to get over that, Sabé.
Usagi blinked, stunned for a moment and then shaking her head, a pink blush still on her cheeks.
"Um what, sorry?" She looked at what was being offered to her. "Ooh!" chocolate! She was being offered chocolate by a REALLY pretty girl. "I would love one, thank you! I haven't had any yet, no."
no subject
It's not generally her style to immediately launch into a conversation with someone- and that's really what she first notices. That being said, she also can't find it in herself to really care that she's being more outgoing than usual now.
The reaction from the younger woman, however, did make her smile a little more as she laughed and held out the box. "Please- I have way too many and not much of a sweet tooth."

Sabé trailed off thoughtfully, trying to remember the other flavors she'd received.
"I'd say you have a few options: close your eyes and grab one, pick the first one that catches your eye, or.... go with the white chocolate as well?"
no subject
It's... it's a long story. "Because if there are, I'll just go the white chocolate route, but if it isn't, then sure, let's do random!"

B
When he saw the blue glow out of the corner of his eye, he thought it might just be the sign outside a business until he turned for a proper look and found to his surprise it was coming from a woman instead. He came a little closer, his curiosity growing, as shown by his cat ears twitching forward.
"Are you a new Sleeper?" He asked.

Hyper-aware of where her blaster was should she need it, she simply nodded her head once before answering him.
"I am... is it pretty obvious?"

As Sabé took her measure of him, so he did of her. With unblinking eyes, he looked at her closely. She looked familiar in a way Maul couldn't put his finger on. Granted, after a certain point, all humans started blending together in his mind and looking alike, but this was different. He was certain he hadn't seen her before. Instead, it was more like maybe he'd seen her sister somewhere in the city, someone who closely resembled her.
He holds onto that thought for a moment before letting it sift to the back of his mind. He'll figure it out sooner or later.

She warily glanced back up at him, careful to keep her expression as neutral as possible. "And how long have you been here?"
no subject
"In this town alone? Six months. But I was in the previous town many Sleepers were in called Deerington for over a year and a half as well, so in total it has been almost two years of being in places run by Pthumerians," Maul explained. Two years of traveling through Deerington and Trench both, being affected by all that happened in those places full of horror.

wildcard!!
Event wise: she has milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel, cherry, and coffee flavors of the chocolates. I'm super down for shenanigans.
Prefer brackets? I can match that style no problem. DM or hmu at swankified on plurk if you want to plot something else out specifically. ]
Closed to Obi-Wan
Assuming that he meant to meet in the bar, she made her way there- pointedly ignoring the looks she received. She was but one woman who hardly had her eyes set on any of the men here, they would grow tired of staring at her when she paid them no mind.
The only problem she's currently having is trying to decide what drink to order as she stands at the bar, reading over their menu. ]

Having trouble?

[ She muses before she looks up at him. She still doesn't feel much like smiling, but knowing that he's ok here does put her at more ease than she had been before. ]

[ he takes the seat next to her. ]
But you might like vodka.

[ She lowers her hood as he sits next to her and orders one of the vodka drinks from the bartender. ]
Fair warning: if I don't, you might not hear the end of it for a while.
