[open] Wuko Wedding
Who: Mako, Wu, and you!
What: GETTING MARRIED
When: February 20th
Where: The beach, through the city, at the Raccoon Room in Cellar Door.
Content Warnings: An inordinate amount of fluff, potentially event happenings.
The ceremony itself is a procession, from the beach to the Raccoon Room. It starts with just the two of them, at a flower arch on the beach, their hands clasped together, each in a gold suit with red and green accents on the collar and as piping down the front. They walk together along a flower strewn path, talking quietly with one another, sharing small, nervous smiles.
If you are close to the couple, you recieved a red envelope, delivered either by raccoon or small dragon, a few days before the wedding, inviting you to the ceremony. The small crowd gathers outside the Raccoon Room, where the threshold is decked out in red roses. The couple stands in the doorway, saying their vows, and pressing a blood-and-ash covered hand to the other's cheek.
While the ceremony is private, the reception isn't. Invites have gone out to basically the entire city, via Wu's post, so it's a pretty public event. Maybe you're coming because you saw that post. Maybe you're coming because you're involved somehow, maybe you just see a flower-and-light-filled party and decide to drop in. Everyone is welcome. After all, this is Trench, and everyone could be dead tomorrow, so why not celebrate something good while you have the chance? Come in, dance to music from different worlds, eat cake and noodles and dumplings, celebrate a little moment of happiness while you can. The party's going all night, and the couple making their solemn, slightly-bloody vows to each other are only the excuse for it.
((ooc: Make top-levels to your hearts' content, mingle, have a good time! This is a Trench party and it's open to everyone!

The Wedding
It's not a normal wedding. There's no officiant, they're not standing up in front of a bunch of people to declare their love: this is a Trench wedding, based on Mako and Wu's shared traditions, inventing some new ones. The ceremony itself is a procession, from the beach to the Raccoon Room. [After he seems to have made his decision about whatever he was hunting for in the party, he comes up to which ever groom he catches first. He waves Wu down with a friendly smile.]
Hey! First off, congratulations. I don’t think we’ve met, and I hope it’s not an imposition being here to begin with, but I couldn’t help but notice you don’t have a wedding photographer.
[He does in fact have a camera strapped to his hip.]
Do you need one?

Hi, buddy! No, everyone's welcome. This is our wedding, but it's also, you know. [ He waves a hand at everything around them ] It's a party!
[ His eyes drop to the camera and he sucks in a breath ]
Oh, boy. Oh, boy, yes, yes! How did I not think of that. You really would do that? Like right now? [ He's reaching out to grab Hayato's wrist with a bright smile. It really is a good thing that Hayato found Wu first because Mako would probably be suspicious of his intentions, which Wu is just thrilled ]

Of course! I wouldn’t have offered, otherwise! Haha, it’s a shame I didn’t catch you guys before the ceremony, but I can at least get you some pretty good photos of the reception, yeah?
[With his free hand, he’ll reach into his coat and pull out a business card. It’s handwritten which is the best he can do so far. Ichimonji Hayato - Freelance Photographer is what reads on the front, on the back is an address to his apartment and his Omni contact.]
It might take some time to get them back to you, since developing photos here is a lot different from how I did it back home, and the process is something I’m still sorting out, so the results might be iffy until I get the hang of it. If you’re okay with that, then I’ll get right to work.

[ Wu takes the card with a grin ]
Hayato! A pleasure to meet you. I'm Wu. My husband is Mako, he's... [ Wu's eyes search out Mako in the crowd, telepathically telling him that Wu found a photographer now. Mako looks up at him from across the club, looking confused and a bit suspicious, but Wu only grins and waves at him ]
I'm very okay with that, buddy! I would love to have some record of this that's more than my own memories.
