[open] Wuko Wedding
Who: Mako, Wu, and you!
What: GETTING MARRIED
When: February 20th
Where: The beach, through the city, at the Raccoon Room in Cellar Door.
Content Warnings: An inordinate amount of fluff, potentially event happenings.
The ceremony itself is a procession, from the beach to the Raccoon Room. It starts with just the two of them, at a flower arch on the beach, their hands clasped together, each in a gold suit with red and green accents on the collar and as piping down the front. They walk together along a flower strewn path, talking quietly with one another, sharing small, nervous smiles.
If you are close to the couple, you recieved a red envelope, delivered either by raccoon or small dragon, a few days before the wedding, inviting you to the ceremony. The small crowd gathers outside the Raccoon Room, where the threshold is decked out in red roses. The couple stands in the doorway, saying their vows, and pressing a blood-and-ash covered hand to the other's cheek.
While the ceremony is private, the reception isn't. Invites have gone out to basically the entire city, via Wu's post, so it's a pretty public event. Maybe you're coming because you saw that post. Maybe you're coming because you're involved somehow, maybe you just see a flower-and-light-filled party and decide to drop in. Everyone is welcome. After all, this is Trench, and everyone could be dead tomorrow, so why not celebrate something good while you have the chance? Come in, dance to music from different worlds, eat cake and noodles and dumplings, celebrate a little moment of happiness while you can. The party's going all night, and the couple making their solemn, slightly-bloody vows to each other are only the excuse for it.
((ooc: Make top-levels to your hearts' content, mingle, have a good time! This is a Trench party and it's open to everyone!

The Wedding
It's not a normal wedding. There's no officiant, they're not standing up in front of a bunch of people to declare their love: this is a Trench wedding, based on Mako and Wu's shared traditions, inventing some new ones. The ceremony itself is a procession, from the beach to the Raccoon Room. We would seem more human. Or so I’ve heard numerous times. [Kaeya is the more popular captain compared to what he was. His men love him dearly. Or at least looking at him. He snorts,] But someone told me recently if I was more friendly they would think I got replaced.
[There is a glint in his eyes. He finds it very amusing.]

[ Mako demands, full of laughter of his own. He's learned some dances from Wu and a few more from Lysithea, and seems to actually be following some steps, loose in his gold suit. ]
You can't be good at this and friendly, you have to leave something. For the rest of us. We can build morale some other way. 'S what— [ he waves a hand on a turn at the bar, away over the crowd ] —Renfri's drinks are for.

As for being good at dancing…It was something that was required so I learned it.
[He snorts as he adds,] All this to say, your point is valid. Good thing our other halves are friendlier than we are.
no subject
Yeah, that's why I'm marrying him. He does all the friend stuff and I get to stand here and look scary. Win-win, right?
[ The music devolves into a pounding beat, and Mako breaks apart from Diluc for just a moment to move to it, grinning. ]
Who required you to do all this? Bet they didn't teach you with music like this. I'd never heard anything like it until coming here.
no subject
He sobers a little as he moves to the beat. It is different. Very different but dancing was a requirement of a family the city of Mondstadt trusted. They expected him to be the best. So he did it.]
Not with music like this, no. As for who required it…Father did. His heir had to live up to all expectations. And I wanted to make him proud.
[And it made knife fighting very easy to study and learn. But that seems like a not wedding thing.] Why did you learn to dance?
no subject
A friend he is currently, finally, letting loose with, grinning at. His own reason is a lot simpler. ]
I learned for Wu. Dancing's a big thing for him, and it wasn't exactly something I could've prioritized learning growing up, so. Learned in the last few months.
no subject
[He looks to the side again. Looks around. No one he knows around that could give him away. Kaeya might pick up on it but, he has no problems with that.] I didn’t have to learn how to make desserts. I did it because it made Kaeya smile.
no subject
It's worth it. Wu had no idea, and he put this whole thing together, I thought... you know. He earned it. I hope Kaeya appreciates all that work.
no subject
He has no idea the smug little smile on his face until he disengages from his focus on Kaeya’s thoughts and emotions.] He had no idea about it.
But he does now. He earned it too.
no subject
The secrets are really coming out tonight. Don't think I've met Kaeya—he from your world?
no subject
[He says the last part with a sigh and a shake of his head. He shifts his footing to be lighter on his feet like when he wields knives.] We still talked professionally but what was…was gone. That’s changed here.
[Boy had it changed.] We worked things out.
