[ scrunching up her face, she shakes her head and smiles. wrinkling her nose, katherine clears her throat and tries to appear as stoic and sober as possible... ]
I feel very good. [ she nods; her words come out a little thicker than she'd like. ] Why do I have to be drunk to feel very good, Stefan?
[ watching him intently, she bites on her bottom lip and laughs lightly again. ]
[ sitting up a bit taller, she tilts her chin up defiantly and declares, ] I can handle my wine, I'll have you know.
[ very fine! just watch her take a sip of it; her eyes never leave stefan as she takes a good, long sip. smiling as she pulls the glass away, she keeps looking at him, chin tilted up defiantly. ]
[ though, she is. did stefan always have such long eyelashes? katherine leans forward with the intention of reviewing the length of his eyelashes. holding her wineglass in one hand, she reaches out to brush her fingers clumsily along his eyebrows. ]
[ she ignores his request she doesn't poke him in the eye. mussing up his brow, she gently traces her finger along the length of it to put it all back in order. it's then that she traces her fingertips slowly along the slope of his nose before bopping the tip. ]
( he's had a little of the wine himself and it hasn't affected him like it has her. he wonders if she's just had so much more of it or of it's something else.
he eyes the wine and then her before he laughs. )
Thank you for the compliment though. I'm glad you like my nose.
[ she smiles sweetly at him, which isn't sweet at all. resting her hands on his thighs, she presses down gently but firmly enough for it to be obvious. ]
You're nice and soft.
[ even drunk. katherine knows when she's been given an opening. ]
And it's working, isn't it? [ she reaches up to brush her fingers against the corner of his mouth. now that it seems like it's more acceptable for her to be a little drunk, she stops trying to play straight-laced sober. ] Don't lie.
I don't know if I believe drunk you when you tell me that.
( but he does lean forward and kisses her wiggling fingers again before even sucking one into his mouth. he probably shouldn't take advantage of this but he can't help it. )
Bet your sides are ticklish. Your feet. Maybe your stomach.
[ she's distracted for a moment as she watches him suck on one of her fingers. is he speaking? what is he saying? what is he even doing other than sucking on her finger?
she doesn't look up from his mouth. she smiles and shakes her head. ]
( he's definitely going to keep doing that but he also sneaks a hand down her side and underneath her shirt so he can brush the tips of his fingers against her side.
is she ticklish there? he keeps his eyes on her and sucks on her fingers while he waits for her reaction. )
[ katherine jerks away from his hand, sucking in her belly as if that's going to give him less of her to touch. she's careful not to move the hand of the fingers he's sucking. ]

[ watching him intently, she bites on her bottom lip and laughs lightly again. ]
no subject
( that's not a bad thing, katherine, before you get all up in arms. )
You don't think you're drunk? I've seen you with your wine today.
no subject
[ very fine! just watch her take a sip of it; her eyes never leave stefan as she takes a good, long sip. smiling as she pulls the glass away, she keeps looking at him, chin tilted up defiantly. ]
Not drunk.
[ a very convincing argument. ]
no subject
( no, it does not. he laughs though and brushes some dampness from the corner of her mouth. )
It's okay to be drunk, you know.
no subject
[ though, she is. did stefan always have such long eyelashes? katherine leans forward with the intention of reviewing the length of his eyelashes. holding her wineglass in one hand, she reaches out to brush her fingers clumsily along his eyebrows. ]
You have caterpillars on your face.
no subject
( that's a new one. he stays still while she touches him, trying not to laugh. )
If you're not careful, you're going to poke me in the eye, Katherine, and then I won't be able to see you.
no subject
[ she ignores his request she doesn't poke him in the eye. mussing up his brow, she gently traces her finger along the length of it to put it all back in order. it's then that she traces her fingertips slowly along the slope of his nose before bopping the tip. ]
You have a cute nose.
no subject
( he's had a little of the wine himself and it hasn't affected him like it has her. he wonders if she's just had so much more of it or of it's something else.
he eyes the wine and then her before he laughs. )
Thank you for the compliment though. I'm glad you like my nose.
no subject
[ and she thinks she's being kind by telling him she likes his nose. would a drunk do that? she thinks not. so, she bops his nose again. ]
Maybe you're the one who's drunk, Stefan. [ she slurs: ] Did you ever think of that?
no subject
( he trails off and laughs because wow, this is a side of katherine he hasn't seen before. he likes it but it's new. )
You're slurring.
no subject
slowly, ] I'm not. I'm talking very, very fine and perfectly.
[ she taps him on the chin. ]
You are slurring.
no subject
( he is not slurring, katherine. nice try. )
I wouldn't want you to fall and knock yourself silly because you're drunk.
no subject
[ she smiles sweetly at him, which isn't sweet at all. resting her hands on his thighs, she presses down gently but firmly enough for it to be obvious. ]
You're nice and soft.
[ even drunk. katherine knows when she's been given an opening. ]
no subject
( stefan reaches up and brushes his fingers against her cheeks, laughing. )
You trying to come onto me?
no subject
[ an important fact. ]
And it's working, isn't it? [ she reaches up to brush her fingers against the corner of his mouth. now that it seems like it's more acceptable for her to be a little drunk, she stops trying to play straight-laced sober. ] Don't lie.
no subject
( he smiles and reaches for her fingers to kiss them. )
It's working.
no subject
[ she's going to put it on her to-do list for the year 4030. poking him in the eyes sounds like a good idea for then.
katherine looks at how he kisses her fingers; she wiggles them. ]
My fingers are ticklish.
no subject
( well, that just means he's going to lean in and kiss those fingers again, sucking on one of them and smirking. )
How ticklish?
no subject
Very.
[ she wiggles her fingers again as if they have the shakes. ]
I was too busy being ticklish to feel any of that.
no subject
( stefan catches one of her fingers and presses his lips to her fingers before letting her go. )
Does that tickle? I wonder where else you're ticklish. I could learn so much about you.
no subject
she takes another sip of her wine. ]
Not ticklish anywhere else. Just on my fingers.
[ she wiggles her fingers again to lure in his attention. ]
no subject
( but he does lean forward and kisses her wiggling fingers again before even sucking one into his mouth. he probably shouldn't take advantage of this but he can't help it. )
Bet your sides are ticklish. Your feet. Maybe your stomach.
no subject
she doesn't look up from his mouth. she smiles and shakes her head. ]
Nope, nope, nope.
[ she's too busy. keep doing that. ]
no subject
is she ticklish there? he keeps his eyes on her and sucks on her fingers while he waits for her reaction. )
no subject
[ katherine jerks away from his hand, sucking in her belly as if that's going to give him less of her to touch. she's careful not to move the hand of the fingers he's sucking. ]
I'm not ticklish there.
[ says the woman who is ticklish there. ]
